I recently won an auction on Ebay for Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I was soo excited to try it since it was so popular and always sold out at the Clinique Counter. It goes on really smooth and nice, but there is hardly any color at all. It looked as if I had not put anything on my lips at all, no color change what-so-ever. Needless to say I was very disappointed and wished I could return it for a refund. I am a big lover of Clinique products overall, but Almost Lipstick did nothing for me. I hope you enjoyed it more than I did.

Clinique's Almost Lipstick is the best combination of color and coverage for those of us who hate to reapply all day long. It comes in sleek packaging (I do love the signature silver tube for all of Clinique Lipstick). It looks more like a lipstick in the tube and my favorite color, Black Honey, always startles people when I pull it out. In the tube, it looks like it will go on Marilyn Manson black and on the lips is a nice berry color. Itapplies smoothly for a nice finish. It has the look of a lipstick but the coverage of a saturated lip-gloss. It feels way more grown up than lip-gloss too. Which is great for those of us trying to be a grown up.

The only negative thing that I have to say about Clinique Almost Lipstick is that it could last a little longer. I don't like to constantly have to pull out a tube of lipstick to reapply, and this one need to go on a few times a day. But when it fades, it does so slowly and is less noticeable.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey was my favorite years ago in high school and thanks to Clinique Days I just rediscovered it. Now I don't know why I ever stopped using it. While it may look scary in the tube (almost black), the applied color is gorgeous on just about every skin tone. I am quite pale with bluish undertones and the color becomes a beautiful natural looking berry tone on me. My friend has a medium olive skin tone and the color is equially beautiful on her. The level of glossiness is perfect. Also, it is so moisturizing, you might never need lip balm again. It is never sticky, can be applied in multiple coats for more dramatic coverage, and wears off without leaving any obvious lipstick stains around the outside of your lips. Also, it doesn't have an apparent scent or flavor, which is a nice change from some products. If you are looking for an excellent lip product, this is worth the money.

I am always looking for new lipsticks but seemed to be in a rut getting the same color and same type. I read all the good reviews on Clinque Almost Lipstick and picked it up and now it is my favorite. It goes on lightly and gives great color. One of the best things about Clinque ALmost LIpstick is the color, it looks different on everyone. When you first see the color you will be a little shocked as it looks really dark but believe me this will soon become one of your favorites. I was telling my daughter in law about it and she said she had already tried it as it recommended to her from a friend.

I recently stumbled upon this product at the Clinique counter. I love wearing gloss but I shy away from lipstick. Usually when I wear lipstick I look too made up. Clinique's Almost Lipstick is perfect for me because the color is not too strong. The Almost Lipstick looks like gloss but with a bit more color. It also glides on very easily. Some of the colors look very dark, but when you try the product you will see that it is not near as dark as it looks. I would suggest to anyone wanting to buy the product to go to a make up counter to try it in person. Also, the Almost Lipstick is not like a long lasting lipstick. I have to reapply my Almost Lipstick after eating. Also, some lipsticks have that "Lipstick taste" that really bothers me. I do not want to taste lipstick every time I lick my lips. This product does not have a taste at all.

I would suggest this product to someone who likes some color but not heavy coverage.

The clinique black honey almost lipstick is advertised as being a universally flattering color for everyone.It looks really really dark in the tube, almost like black cherry. It looks like it would apply like a color that would look "vampish" However this color gives you the "I just ate a popsicle look" It's fine if that's the look you are going for but I don't like cherry red lips. I have a tanned complexion with pigmented lips and dark hair. You would think this color would be perfect for me, but it is not. I prefer lighter more subtle colors. While i think it is great that it has no shimmer because shimmer can make your lips look dry and shriveled. It's not the color of lipstick I prefer because I like a more neutral muted look since I have rather large lips. I would love it if they would invent something like a universally flattering light shade but not warm toned. It's moisturizing and wears well but not the product for me. I think it's better suited for fairer skintones in...

My introduction to Almost Lipstick was when mom took me to the Clinique counter for my first cosmetic experience while I was in middle school. The Clinique consultant did a make over and used Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. That was over 13 years ago and I am still buying the stuff. Makes me wonder how many tubes I have gone through! This is the perfect shade for a barely there lip on just about every skin tone. The price is right and the product lasts and lasts. If you are looking for one shade to complement everything this is it. After graduation I worked at the Clinique counter and this was my number one "go-to" lipstick. The number of choices can be overwhelming; everything from pinks to mauves but there is something about this color that appeals to everyone. Not only does it provide a sheer hint of real color it is also non-drying and adds a shine like a lip gloss. I would recommend this product to everyone from young girls wearing make up for the first time to the more sophisticated...

I have been using Black Honey Almost Lipstick from Clinique since before the beginning of time and I buy a new one every year. What a joy to slick on a color that looks absolutely natural, feels good on the lips and makes you walk out of the house feeling finished. I own a zillion lip glosses, colors, pots, pans, tubes, etc., but when I need to get ready quickly this is the product I want. It will travel to Italy with me later this month. Ciao!

This lip product is great. I love it and wear it all the time...I got a tube from my step-mother and I fell in love with it. I did not wear make up of any kind. After trying this moisturizing lip stick I could not live with out it.
The Black Honey color is a brownish color but it is not a solid color it is a mix of lip gloss and lipstick. If your not a make up person but would like some color this product would work out for you. I have told many of my friends that it is expensive but is worth it because you want to use it. Clinique's Almost Lipstick is been fun.

Every time I wear Clinique's Black Honey, I get so many compliments. It looks like your lips are stained with berries, and it's wonderfully smooth and shiny. It's good if you don't feel like wearing full-on lipstick. I have light skin and dark hair, and it looks good on me, but it also looks good on a friend of mine with blond hair and medium complexion. A universally flattering color, thank the heavens! Highly recommended!...

This product, in the Black Honey shade, was written about in almost every fashion magazine when it debuted. I bought my first tube then. When I had my first child, this was the one product that I always used - it took almost no time to apply, made a huge difference in how I looked, and yet didn't look strange without other makeup.

It is a rich moisturizing balm with a sheer brownish-reddish tint. It works on almost every skin color. it can be casual and natural paired with just mascara, or really dressy with more makeup. It's super easy to apply, lasts a decent amount of time, and ALWAYS looks natural.

Don't worry about the color in the tube - it looks black. You will not look gothy. Your lips will look glowy and defined, but natural.

I've bought other shades, but nothing is as good as Black Honey. I have a tube at home, one in my drawer at work, and one in my bag. Remember that old haircolor commercial that had the "it's you, only better" tag? That's what Black Honey can do for you!...

Every once in a while, you find a product that you love and you continue to love for years. Such is the case with me and Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I found it many years ago and loved it and I continue to buy it today and still love it.

Clinique Almost Lipstick

This is a thin stick of sheer lip color that isn't as heavy as lipstick but not as sheer as gloss. The Black Honey shade is perfect for everyone. They also have other shades but I never got past the Black Honey because it was perfect for me. I did try a couple of others on and they all were the same. Excellent. They slick on like a gloss but aren't sticky. They wear like a good lipstick - a few hours at least. They flatter and make lips look pretty without the sparkle and razzle dazzle of many of today's lip colors. They give just enough shine without being garish. They work for day and for night. I honestly don't know why I have about 100 other lip colors when really, all I need is Clinique Almost Lipstick. For $14.00,...
