Claritin is quite effective at relieving allergy symptoms. I don't know what I'd do without it. I have had allergies all my life and if i did not use this product i would be soooo miserable. i would have itchy, runny nose and eyes and a constant sore throat. i have tried to wean myself off claritin a few different times in my life and never last more than 2 days because my allergy symptoms become soooo annying. claritin used to be available by prescription only, i believe, but now it is available over the counter, thank goodness. this is so much more convenient. i don't have to see a doctor on a regular basis just to be able to treat my allergy symptoms. clairitin can be sort of expensive but it is well worth the money you will spend on it if you have severe allergy symptoms like i do. i would pay even more for it if i had to. i can't live without it. i would recommend claritin to anyone who has allergies.

Claritin 24hr Allergy Tabs

When my grandson first came to live with us he had a terrible problem with head congestion. His mother was a chainsmoker around him, even when in the car. I tried everything to clear him up. He was miserable! Finally his pediatrician told me to get Claritin because it had loratadine in it. Loratadine is the ingredient that works. By golly it did work! He's as clear as a bell now. He only suffers a little bit during allergy season but a couple doses of Claritin has him breathing freely again. Between no smoke and this wonderful medication he's not miserable anymore.

This med seems to not have the kick that it did when it was only avaliable by rx. Still is useful, but it seems to have lost some power in the transition to over the shelf.

Claritin is a gret reliable source for allergy relief. It combats mild to medium symptoms of the allergy season and of allergies themselves - sneezing, runny eyes, scratchy throat, congestion and runny nose. Best of all it's non-drowsy which is the best way to fight off allergies during the work-week.

But a word of caution - during a very tough allergy season and during recent heavy pollen activity and other causes of allergy symptoms, this is not a medication that will fight severe symptoms or heavy pollen pollutant days. This small tablet simply is not strong enough to combat severe allergy attacks.

That said, it works in great combination with other stronger medications to supplement against those strong attacks. Claritin is mild enough that it won't counteract with other drugs (as far as I know and in my experience). But it's a dependable medication to use during mild allergy days or allergy off-season.

Claritin was prescribed to me by my Pulmonologist to help with my allergies and my asthma. It works great. I didn't feel sleepy like other allergy medications. Since I suffer with asthma I need to be careful of medications that might cause an attack. I take it at night when I go to bed and I dont seem to suffer the dry mouth that might be a side effect.

Claritin is a good product, but you have to take it every day for 10 days for it to be effective. When my sinuses are bothering me, I want immediate relief.

I think this product is better for people who have chronic problems with their sinuses or allergies, rather than someone who has the occasional sinus headache.

Claritin is also very expensive; if you choose to go with a generic brand, be sure to compare the ingredients to know you are getting the right product. This can shave over $10 from your cost.

I would only recommend Claritin to people who don't have to worry about cost and are chronic sufferers.

I have suffered from allergies all my life. I have taken Claritin as a prescription drug daily for relief. What relief I got when Claritin went over the counter. Not only was it cheaper than my copay, but I could get it without having to pay a copay at the doctors office.
Claritin relieves my itchy watery eyes, keeps me breathing clear all day long. I get to play outside with my daughter and our poodle. I have taken other allergy medications like Benadryl but it always made me tired. I wouldn't use any other medication to fight my allergies than Claritin.

I was diagnosed being allergic to a multitude of outdoor allergens including mold, grass, trees, dust, pollen, cockroaches, mildew, and pet dander. Claritin keeps all those allergens under control so I can enjoy my life. It doesn't hold me back, it doesn't make me tired, it has not given any adverse side effects that I could say would stop me from taking this wonderful over the counter medication.

I suffer from sinuses, sinus headaches, itchy watery irritated eyes, itchy and sore throat, irritated ears, sneezing, coughing and just about any thing else you can think of. This just doesn't do it for me and it takes to long to work for the few symtoms that it does treat. I know it work for some people like my sister lives by Claritin but I have to have something stronger. It's not totally a waste because it do relief some symtoms but not nearly enough to be my medicine cabinet and when and if I do have to take them its always and extra pill I have to take to do the trick!!!

I am a long sufferer of allergies. While these are often referred to as seasonal allergies, I pretty much suffer year round. Allergy test revealed a several airborne allergies and I ofted to treat my symptoms with over the counter medicaion (claritin) rather than allergy shots. The shots would be expensive, inconvenient and I feel sure not pleasant. Claritin releives most of my seasonal allergy symptoms with very few side effects. I suffer with chronic dry eye syndrome and I do feel that any allergy medicine, Claritin included, tends to dry my eyes somewhat. Claritin works fast and is the best brand I have tried and while I do sometimes think it dries my eyes some, it is much better than other brands I have tried. It is long lasting and I do not have to repeat doses during the day. It is also much less expensive than most of the prescription medications that my doctor has prescribed for me over the years.

Claritin is a long-lasting 24 hour antihistimine that gives good relief for runny, itchy noses, eyes etc. from allergies. The great thing is that Claritin does not cause sleepiness like most antihistimine products. Also the 24 hour feature of Claritin saves you from having to constantly take allergy pills every 4-6 hours!!!
