We were never late on payments & carry a balance on our citi cards. They sent us a notice saying that they were raising our interest rates to 29.99% in order to continue extending credit to customers. We closed our accounts. It's ridiculous

The Citibank-Platinum Visa was the first credit card that I ever received. I have been a card member since 2005 and have used this card for many major purchases including airplane tickets. Upon enrolling in college, I was a little wary of getting a credit card but I knew that this card would be a great way to establish some credit. The customer service department has been very helpful and polite. I have been able to speak with a representative about getting my APR rate reduced.

The customer service department has also been very proactive in preventing identity theft. I recently attempted to make purchases from two Walmarts within a 30 minute span of time. The first purchase was processed without incident. The second purchase was rejected. When speaking with the customer service department, I was informed that the company rejected the transaction over fear that the credit card was stolen. I dont recommend going in debt with credit cards. With limited credit and new to the credit world I was able to get the citibank platinum visa. They provide a reasonable credit limit, and I really love that it is obvious they review your account and make changes accordingly. I have seen them increase my credit limit, and I have seen them decrease my interest rate after it had gone pretty high up because of missed payments. I got back on track, and I have seen them decrease it because of it.

Good customer service also. I say good customer service because I have other credit cards and when I call the people either are completely rude or it's very hard for me to communicate. I've been lucky to get very nice people willing to address my concerns. And even if they cant help me or give me the answer I want I somehow dont get mad because I know that they tried.

Only thing I say, is be careful with any credit card, and make sure you can manage your debt!

After a recent charge not made by me, I called Customer Service. I was amazed at how fast they resolved the issue! The Customer Service Representative was quick, Courteous and very helpful. I have many other cards but this is now my card of choice! Kudos to Citi Card! I've heard horror stories of false charges but this transaction could not have been handled any better! I am very happy and impressed with the service I received. I did not get a foreign call center either, as I had expected. Good job! I will be using this card for all of my future purchases! I was also informed of special offers and protections I was currently unaware of. I could not be more satisfied. I understand they have purchased some of my other credit card accounts but I now feel secure with that as well. Thank you for reading this review. It was my pleasure to write it!k

This is a great product but you have to watch out for it. My wife and I are on a budget and everytime she take the credit card to the store, she always goes over. It's been frustrating going on the hole for a lot of materials we don't need. Wants not needs....
