ysj1205 says "Citi Forward, a 'big' mtvU" about Citi - Forward

Citi Forward works like a 'big' mtvU. It is almost the same with the one called citi mtvU card. They almost have the same rewards but this one has an upgrade one. It means Citi Forward card has a better reward programme.

11,000 for applying and opening bonus thankyou points for new customer to them nowadays. You get 100 thankyou points when you pay your balance on time. 5 times thankyou points for use the card when purchasing books, music and in the restaurant.

Although it is a pretty good card, but it is not quite easy to get this card. You need to have a fairly good credit history and credit score. Compared to mtvU credit card, you can not get thankyou points by sending your college grade.

Overall, it is really a good card. Thankyou points can be redeemed to cash, visa gift card, famous merchant gift card, fashionable gifts and flight tickets, hotel stay and so on. If you have a comparely long history, I recommend you to apply it now to get thankyou points today.
...

mochi0172 says "Best reward Credit card for restaurant-goers!" about Citi - Forward

Citi's Forward credit card is similar to their mtvU card: five points per dollar spent at restaurants, bookstores, and music stores, and one point for all other purchases. However, this card does not require you to be a student in order to qualify for it! The Citibank Thank your reward program is one of the best credit card reward program available because you have so many options for redeeming your points: cash, gift cards, statement credits, mortgage payments, student loan redemptions, gifts/other merchandises. You can't always redeem everything at a one point per one cent ratio, but when you're earning five points per dollar, that's still very good. Right now, there is a great sign up bonus for the card: five thousand points for signing up for paperless statements and six thousand points for fifty dollars work of purchases within three months of getting the card. That's eleven thousand points that you can redeem for say a one hundred dollar gift card or maybe seventy...
...

pwm112 says "A fun card with less than average rewards" about Citi - Forward

Citi Forward

I recently applied for this card. I was drawn to it for 6mth 0% APR and an 11000 point sign-up bonus if you chose e-statements, which I would have done anyway. So there are some immediate perks.

Their online interface is easy enough to use although I dislike needing to go to a separate site to redeem my rewards. Getting balances and paying your bill is user friendly.

As for the rewards, that is the drawback here. 1% does not set the world on fire and there are very few things that can be exchanged on a 100 point for 1 basis. Unless you specifically want to each at Chili's, you will be taking a 1%-40% discount on your points in order to redeem them, ie your 3000 points will get you possibly $20 of value. However, I would note that they do give you 100 points for every month of activity that you don't exceed your limit but do pay on time, which is a nice little feature. Also you always get 5% at restaurants.

Summary - definitely apply for the sign-up bonus...
...
