I too am suffering from a chemical burn from this product. I will never purchase it again and hope that it will be taken off the market to prevent any other from suffering from the product!

This product is fabulous for cleaning your lenses and making them like new.

True you do have to follow the directions and wait 6 hours because it is a peroxide product but that is a small price for having fresh comfortable lenses.

The company takes MANY extra steps to warn you about the wait time and has created a red warning collar on the bottle so you dont grab the wrong one.

HIGHLY recommend you try it. Your eyes will thank you!

This Ciba Care solution is the best on the market. Just puts your contacts in the special case and you are done. No rubbing and ripping your expensive contacts. This solution takes care of it all.

As someone who is still recovering from a chemical burn suffered from this product (2 days ago), I will never buy it again, even if it's on sale (like it was when I bought it).

The 6 hour neutralization time is a big obstacle to me, especially as I often need to have a little sleep in the middle of the day and take my contacts out for a couple of hours. I've been trying to make do and keep the neutralized solution around in the mornings instead of discarding it and using *it* to do any rinsing or short-term storage.

But of course, being disabled and on medication that makes me groggy and not as sharp as usual, the inevitable happened and I forgot to use the leftover solution and used fresh solution instead.

I went through the treatment recommended by poison control (15 minutes of eye rinsing) but my eye is still hurting and recovering even 2 days after the fact. :(

As such, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who :

This product was recommended by my eye doctor and it is proving to be the best product I have used. All you do is store your contact lens in the container then pour Clear Care up to the fill line. It's that easy.

I highly recommend this product.

I bought this product when I was having issues with my contacts. It is awesome. You put your contacts in an upright case that encloses each lens but has holes so all sides of the contacts are disinfected. You have to let them set for at least 6 hours and if you bump the case and it falls over, you have to wait another 6 hours because the solution is reactivated. Trust me I learned the hard way that it HURTS if you put them in your eyes before the time is up - your eye will burn and you will have to remove your contact and deal with bright red eye. It's definately pricy,but well worth it if you truly want your lenses clean. I still buy store brand saline solution to use to rinse them off and if I have dry eyes, but its cheap to buy the store brand, so I find using both works well.

I was recommended this Clear Care Contact Solution when I was having trouble with my contact lenses being extremely uncomfortable and it definitely helped.

However, a caution to read instructions and follow the red box instructions on this product. I did not (how I missed it I'm not sure, because its pretty obvious and they make it very clear) and tried using this cleaner like regular contact solution, so after washing my lenses in it I put them directly into my eye. It burned pretty bad and hurt like the devil. That's when I saw that you're not supposed to put it in your eye until you wash it with other fluids first, and you're only supposed to use it with the lens case it comes with. Just a caution so this doesn't happen to others.

Once I got past that mistake, I found this solution did make a difference. What's more, my husband now uses it regularly and will never go back to his old kind. It's easy to use and seems to make the contact lenses a lot more comfortable to wear. ...

The Ciba Vison Clear Care Contact Solution is the only contact solution that I will use. It seems a little expensive at first but it is worth every penny. With everybox you buy, you get a free contact case which I love. I am never without a case. You will notice a difference when you first try it from all the other solutions. For once your contacts actually feel clean and free and build up. Will never go back to any other solution after trying this one.

After wearing contacts for 13 years...I have developed allergies to the preservatives in every over the counter saline solution out there...after undergoing lots of medical probes to figure out why my eyes were red, dry and irritated, one smart Doc finally pieced it all together, put me on Rx eye drops and this FANTASTIC contact lens solution! I have used it for well over 2 years now and NO PROBLEMS!

I used to buy the generic contact solution formula until my eyes turned red. I found out that I was alleric to preservatives in the solution so I was told to try Clear Care. I haven't used any other brands of solution since. Clear Care cleans your contacts better than any other solution.

The only drawbacks to this solution is that is takes so long to clean your lenses and the case must be kept upright. (I don't know how many times I've knocked over the case by mistake!) The price is higher than other solutions so I try to buy it when on sale.

despite what the packaging says clear care does not clean lenses well. I always look at my lenses to see if there is any dust or other things stuck to the lense in the morning. when using clear care per instructions I find my lenses are very dirty and coated with a film of gunk, rinsing with saline helps but the lenses still look quite dirty. using a daily cleaner first makes a huge difference in wear comfort and lens cleaning. with a daily cleaner and saline rinse I would then give this product 4 stars. also using clear care seems to make my purevision torics shrink they seem smaller some how. of the solutions I have tried I actually prefer Renu Multiplus the lenses are much cleaner and comfortable even more so than opti-free. opti-free replenish seemed to make my lenses feel almost like they got thicker some how

I wear a special soft toric lens, have very senstive and dry eyes. I need to rinse thoroughly (with saline) before putting in my eye, but I noticed an immediate improvement in the comfort of the lens the first time I used this solution. Worth the price!!
