I cannot say enough good things about our Chicco carseat. It is easy to use and very safe. It was so easy to install that we could leave it with the grandparents and they could install it without any problems. The fabric is easy to wash and does not stain. The straps are really easy to adjust and never got tangled. There is an infant body and head insert which is really nice. I did have to buy an extra insert though when the baby was first born. The seat is heavy, but there are heavier seat out there. The seat does not fit in shopping carts-so beware if you want a seat that can do that. Chiccos safety rating is outstanding and we have been very happy with this seat. We received another seat as a gift and our Chicco is so much better and much easier to use. The Chicco feels really tight when you install it and does not wiggle around in the car seat like some of the other seats. I really recommend this seat.
...

sls373 says "The Chicco KeyFit Travel System meets all my traveling needs!" about Chicco KeyFit

My husband and I received the Chicco KeyFit travel system at our baby shower in March of 2009. We love it! We have the orange and gray model. It is very comfortable and safe for our now 6 1/2 month old son, Aiden.

What I especially love about this carseat is that it pops right into the stroller. When my son is sleeping, I do not have to wake him up to put him in the stroller. I simply leave him in the car seat and place him right into the stroller! This feature is very convenient. I realized how convenient this was when I forgot the stroller one day and had to take him out of the car seat! Cranky babies and malls just don't mix!

We had the car seat installed by a police officer at a carseat safety workshop and the police officer said we had chosen a good model. It is very easy to install but I would still recommend going to a workshop. We did not have our car seat attached tightly enough to the seat and he said about 80% of the people he sees make the same mistake.

mariaallen2 says "The easist car seat ever made. Can do everything with one hand!" about Chicco KeyFit

Bought a car seat combo with stroller. Everything is done with one hand. Putting in the car seat is really easy. Once you hear 2 clicks, you know it is in. To remove, just lift up the red handle and the seat comes out effortlessly. Even has leveler's on each side of the base so you know that the seat is in evenly. The seatbelt click attachments that attach to the anchors in the backseat is really easy to do.

The stroller has better shocks than most cars! Again the stroller is assembled with one hand. Lift on a handle between the hand rail and it unfolds. Do the same to disemble. Once you hear a click, you know the stroller is locked and can be put away. Pretty lightweight as well.

Overall, HIGHLY recommend this combanation. The stroller will last under the child is at least 3 years of age and strollers are not cheap!
...

We love our car seat we got our daughter because it is rated one of the safest carseats out there. The cons with the seat are that it is so padded, our daughter gets VERY hot in it. There is also no slits in the bottom of the seat so you can't put it on the front of a shopping cart like you see a lot of people do. We have to put our daughter in the basket. Overall we love it because we know our daughter is safe in it!
...

This carseat is amazing! We recieved it along with the matching stroller as a gift from my mom. We have used this seat up until now and my daughter is almost 1 year old. The seat holds infants from 4-22lbs and is very easy to use. We really liked that the straps could be adjusted on the front of the seat easily. We have another carseat that we also used for her and you had to pull the straps in and out of the back every time that she was taken in and out of the seat. The carseat is very sturdy and durable. We felt like this seat was very safe and will be using it for our next child as well. It is a little bit pricey but is definetley worth the investment. One of the only things I found wrong with the seat was that she seemed to get sweaty in it, maybe because of the material. The only thing I would have done differently is buy an extra base for this seat so we wouldn't have had to take the whole thing in and out when we switched vehicles.
...

The Chicco Keyfit Infant Carseat is a great buy. It is the highest rated infant carseat on Consumer Reports, which is the first thing that drew me to it because safety was my number one priority. It has a styrofoam liner that is does better on impact than other models. It is also extremely easy to use. One click locks it in place and the squeeze of the same handle unlocks it to remove the seat from the base. I am not a huge person and it is very easy to lug around, even as my baby is getting bigger. The base has levels to make sure that your child is in evenly and the straps are easily adjusted by an adjustable tether at the bottom of the seat. The only things I've had concerns about with this carseat is that my daughter tends to get a little hot if she sits in it for too long. I think it is the material of the seat. Otherwise, it is a greatlooking, easy to use carseat and best of all, the safest! I highly highly recommend! (It also has inserts for newborn babies which...
...

As a mom I see many car seats and I have to say that after my experience with the Chicco Keyfit 30 I wouldn't feel safe putting my child in anything else. The quality just hasn't been matched in anything else I've seen. Also a lot of the features make it easier to use as well. The only bad things I can think of is that the newborn insert doesn't breathe very well so you have to be careful not to overheat your baby, and its a little heavier than most, but that's quality!
...

I love my chicco keyfit 30, I have been using it for 11 months and love it. I researched for months on which the safest car seat was. When I brought my son home from the hospital he was only a lil over 6lbs and he fit in it great, his head wasnt bobbing and he wasn't slouching. He is now 25lbs and still fits in it great. It is so easy to take in and out of the car. I am a big worrier when it comes to my kids safety inside my car and that is the reason I choose this exact car seat and I am glad I did I have no regrets about it at all. I do not see one flaw with it. The base easliy installs w the latch system and its so easy to make sure its tight and at the proper position. The max weight is 30 which is higher than most so you can use it longer. I recomend this car seat to everyone I know who is pregnant even those I dont know just starngers looking at carseats inside of our Babies R Us hears about how great it is from me.
...

amboo8 says "Great infant car seat, but needs better shade cover" about Chicco KeyFit

The Chicco Key fit has been a great car seat thus far. Our little one is 3 months old and has gotten great use out of this car seat. He seems comfortable in the seat (he falls asleep all the time in it). The seat is so easy to adjust size. The straps can easily be adjusted every time you put the baby in and take it out. The handle bar is easy to manuver and use. It is very easy to install. Me and my husband have two cars, but we only purchased one base. I'm able to easily switch the base in just a matter of a few minutes. My only complaint is that the shade cover on the top is pretty useless. It only extends half way on the top. Then if you want to cover the baby's face, you have to first un-velcro the top and move it down, but it doesn't even stay in place, it just falls down. So the cover doesn't provide good shade for the baby. Everything else is great!
...

The Chicco travel system is great. I am a new mom and have my first baby. I was given the Chicco travel system at a shower and it has been awesome! The actual baby seat is safe, easy to maneuver, and pretty stylish. I can easily put my baby boy in the seat and carry him from place to place. I can also quickly jump in the car and in one click his seat is safely in the car for the journey ahead. Once I get to my destination I can grab the stroller that is folded in the back of my car and in one swift movement it pops open. The seat easily clicks in and I am ready to walk from place to place. So from my house to my destination, my baby is not taken in and out of his seat. He is usually sleeping soundly in his comfy Chicco seat. Another thing that is great is that the car base is very easy to move. If I have lots of people riding with me I can quickly put the base in the back. Or if my mother n law is keeping the baby I can quickly move the base from my car to hers....
...

This is one of the best car seats on the market. We researched and consumer reports ranked this as the highest car seat at the time we were looking, plus our friends recommended it.

My daughter was a preemie and was 5lbs when she came home from the hospital. This car seat comes with a sort of cushion and headrest pillow area that are both removable once your child no longer needs or wants them. It does hold up to 30 lbs which is one of the only car seats that is considered an infant seat that is rear facing for that long.

It comes with a base and you can buy additional bases seperately. If you have a fastening system in your car, that works to hold the base well. If not, you can use it without a base and just use a seatbelt to strap it into the car.

All of the moving parts are bright orange. The handle sticks up for carrying or lays back for when you're in the car and the release from the base is also orange.
