I have probably the thickest hair anyone could possibly imagine. My whole life I have gone from straightener to straightener never being full satisfied about the results that I got from using them. My hair is very thick, very "poofy" and very hard to get straight and smooth. After using the Chi straightener, I will never go back to any other hair straightener in my life. It heats up fast, which is convenient for my busy schedule. It cuts back the time it takes to straighten my hair to about 15 minutes compared to what I was used to which was about an hour to two hours.

The price might be a little high, but I can promise you that it's worth it. I have had my chi for over 3 years now, and I have not had a single problem with it. It works as well as it did the first time I used it.

Not only do I recommend this wonderful hair straightener but I also recommend the products that come along with it. The silk fusion is just a booster the appearance of your hair leaving it not only smelling...
...

rosex3bud says "The Chi 1" Special Edition was worth the chunk of change put out" about Chi 1" True Ceramic Hair Straightener

The flat iron lives up to its name because it does just that. I have gone through many cheap straighteners before finally putting out the money for a Chi. Luckily, Harmon's had a special for the 1 inch, special edition. The straightener was accompanied by other Chi products such as the smoothing serum and heat protector. Paired with the straightener, my hair has never been healthier or smoother after straightening. For once, I feel like I'm damaging it with all the products and styles that I fight so hard to achieve. There are some straighteners, or flat irons, that literally just flatten the hair but my Chi actually straightens it to a point there are no kinks when run over quickly and smoothly with the aid of only a brush. Even after running my hair through at such high temperatures, my hair feels as silky and smooth had I blown it straight instead with half the effort. The Chi has not only helped make my hair look and feel healthier but also cut down my styling time.
...

Lauren150772 says "The Chi 1" Flat Iron is a great deal! " about Chi 1" True Ceramic Hair Straightener

I currently have 2 CHI 1" Flat Irons. I carry one for travel and another I keep in my bathroom cabinet for everyday use. These products are long lasting (I have had one for more than 7 years) and do an excellent job with straightening and smoothing hair. My hair is naturally curly and gets frizzy in humid weather. The CHI not only straightens my hair but keeps it shiny and straight in the Texas humidity.

In addition, if your product breaks or the ceramics become loose, you can send the product in to be repaired for a small all-inclusive fee. (I believe around $35.00). Your CHI will be fixed and returned to you in like-new condition!

The price of these flat irons ranges from around $95 to a little over $100. Occasionally you can find one on sale. As far as the price goes, mid range, but totally worth the expensive.

If you are looking for a great flat-iron with potential to last many years for a decent price, then I would recommend that you purchase the CHI GF-1001 1" Flat Iron.
...

foxylq7 says "I couldn't live without my chi straightner" about Chi 1" True Ceramic Hair Straightener

I've had this iron for about 3 years now. My hair is on the thicker side, in healthy condition, and long. My hair is wavy, and can hold a curl or be straightened without much coaxing, so I'm lucky in that respect. I have to say I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews this product is getting. I think it's amazing and I fell in love when I first got it, for about twice as much from a retail store! I think part of the problem might be lack of product/over-styling that might be contributing to damage. My hairstylist recommended Chi to me.

I don't straighten my hair every day; I would say I use it frequently - maybe twice a week (sometimes more and sometimes less). I try to let my hair air dry before straightening by taking a shower the night before and then styling in the morning with my iron, for example. This tends to reduce the heat stress on my hair and I get less breakage. I also use a hair strengthening spritz and biosilk before and a little after styling just for added protection...
...

Before I bought Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron, I read many customer reviews, most of which were good and some bad, but I decided to take a chance.

Well, it's once of the best purchases I've made and I absolutely love using it and the results. This one is so easy to use, takes so little time, and the result is amazing.

I simply followed the common sense tips that a lot of customers left, in trying not to burn myself, using heat-protective hair spray, wiping up the iron after use, trying not to drop the iron, treating it gently, and I haven't had any problem with the iron. It left my hair very straight, silky, and not even 1/2 as poofy as it usually is with flat irons. One can flip the ends so it looks like its natural in a pony tail. This iron revolutionalized my life and I can't imagine living without it now.

I have had my chi 1" hair straightener for two years and it works just as wonderfully as the day I bought it! My mother is a hair stylist so I have always had to best when it comes to my hair. When I started taking care of my hair and wanting a more sleek look, my mother bought me a hair straightener but she didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a straightener for a 15 year old. I tried my best to make that straightener work but it just flattened the frizz, but didn't make it soft. It wasn't even a year before I was begging my mom for a new straightener. She talk to a few other beauticians and the women at the beauty supply store and they all just raved about the Chi brand straighteners. My mom still wasn't convinced, so I borrowed one from a friend so she could see it in action. She was amazed and I knew right then that I would be getting my very own Chi. The next time she went to the beauty supply store, she came home with a beautiful Pink Chi 1" Ceramic Straightener.
...

I have thin hair but it doesn't like straighten easily because I color it all the time and the Chi is one of the only flat irons that will do any justice to straightening my hair. I would highly recommend this product....

The Chi 1" Ceramic flat iron is the best flat iron I have ever used. This flat iron reaches high temps very quickly, has ceramic plates, and is very easy to handle. I love how easy the Chi is to use. It glides through my hair with ease and straightens my hair so great. I personally have naturally curly hair and being able to change my hair any time I want, and quickly, is a dream come true by the Chi flatiron.

I can remember the first time I use my Chi flatiron to straiten my hair. I was getting ready for a night out with the girls. I absolutely loved the results, my hair was smooth, soft, and it felt wonderful. My results were better than I expected and lasted longer than I expected.

With all of the hair care products Chi has to compliment their flatirons it is really a no fail process and it make hair straitening easy. Protecting your hair while making it look great is easy to do when using the Chi flatiron and Chi haircare products.
...

I have had my Chi for about six months and I love it!!! The chi is very easy to use but you do have to be careful not to fry your hair! It does take a little practice at first so you do not leave lines in your hair. I would recommend this product for someone that has experience using straighting irons or curling irons. If this is your first straighting iron I would probably start with a less powerful product. It is very easy to damage your hair with such a powerful styling tool! It would also be a good idea to use some sort of product on your hair to protect it from the heat. The chi has a lifetime warranty which I love but remember to SAVE YOUR BOX!! I don't think they will honor your return if you do not have the original box that your chi came in. Other than that they will replace your chi no questions asked and send you a brand new one!! That is a fantastic deal if you ask me. I think it is worth is to pay a little more to get such a great warranty!!
...

sarahyen says "The Chi ceramic 1 inch iron is only so so" about Chi 1" True Ceramic Hair Straightener

The chi ceramic 1 inch hairstyling iron is only so so at best. In order to get the best results, you still have to blow dry your hair straight first completely (using a special kind of padded brush,) which is very time consuming if you have long hair like me. Because the chi cannot be used on freshly washed and wet hair, the blow-drying is mandatory. Then, when you do use the iron on your dry hair, it does not get all the hair completely straight-- the wavier certain sections of your hair are, the less likely the iron can get those parts totally straight. On my hair, for example, one side is naturally straighter than the other, and no matter how many times I use the iron on the wavier side, it only gets about 70% straight compared to the other side which I can get about 95% straight without trying to hard.

Also, I can feel that the more I use the iron, the dryer my hair becomes, so I try not to use it more than once or twice a week.

On the plus side, it is easy to use, very portable...
...

It heats up very fast, it's small enough to keep plugged and ready on my vanity table. It also has a lifetime warranty, so don't forget to keep the box and to not ever wind the cord up. I have told all of my friends about it, and now we all have one!
