the chevy silverado has been a great addition to our home. we use it mainly for plowing and towing our camper the last 2 yrs. we have only had oil changes for maintaince. great gas mileage for a truck, and handles all. my parents have had great luck with the silverados that made our decision to buy one. good luck to all

...

The truck I have is a 2007 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. There is plenty of power with 4.8L V8 and more than ample room for my 6'5" 270 pound frame as well as room for the family. Even with my seat all the way back, there is plenty of leg room behind the driver's seat for rear seat passengers. I have owned GM and Ford trucks and driven Dodges but by far, the Chevy or GMC trucks are the best on the road. I encourage anyone looking to purchase a truck to drive all of the big three and you will certainly take the GM. I recommend GM over the imports as well because I always buy American. Enjoy your new truck!...

My husband and I purchased the 2007 Chev. Silverado hoping to keep it a long time. However, we have had one problem after another since we purchased this vehicle less than a year ago. Two days after purchasing it, the power steering rack went out and the truck had to be towed to the shop. They replaced the rack and the power steering pump at that time. Later the power steering pump had to be replaced again. The seat upholstry has had to be replaced because it would not stay connected correctly and the stitching came apart. The fender well liners had to be worked on about 4 times before that problem was corrected. The driver's side mirror came loose and had to be replaced. A spring underneath had to be replaced. It currently has an unidentified noise that they have worked on twice already. I'm not sure I have remembered everything, but I do believe we got a lemon!!!!!!...

I have always been a fan of the Chevy Silverado but this is the first one I have actually owned. I love it! I would not trade it for anything. I purchased the Classic edition since I really do not like the new body style. I bought the extended cab and really like the roominess. However, I wish I had bought the crew cab since it gets old having to open the front door for someone in the rear to exit....

I have the extended cab V-8 with spray-on bed liner and tow package. I love the rear doors. They open up 180 degrees to give clear access to the rear seats. I also love the active fuel management system (cuts from 8 down to 4 cylinders at cruising speeds) to help save fuel. I saw someone comment about high cost. I paid $23,000 for mine and no other make of comparable pick-ups compared to the Silverado. I recently drove from Texas to Virginia and averaged 23 mpg. I average 20 mpg in my day to day around town driving. I consider that pretty good for a full sized pick-up. It drive quite well, is very responsive, and provides good comfort....

What I love most about this truck is the sleekness. It is beautiful!! I bought shiny rims and tires for it which make it look way better. It has good gas mileage, which I think is just as good as a Toyota Tundra. The interior is kinda plain but is just as sleek with all the little gadgets they add to it such as all the buttons on the steering wheel. I would recommend any driver of this truck to get a bedliner because it gets scratched up pretty easy. ...

We traded in a 1998 4x4 "slightly modified" (12 inch cognito suspension lift, 38" trexus tires, atlas springs, 513 gears, made to play in the snow, sand or mud but still street legal) black extended cab 1/2 ton on our new 2007 crew cab silverado powered by the duramax and allison. =-) OMG, wowsers just doesnt quite cover it. The comfort of the truck, the ease of use. The roomy interior. I just cant say enough. We travel with 4 children, aged 16-6, and a dog 3-4 weekends a month 9 months each year. We pull a 24 foot camper and do not even know its back there. We have the burgandy red with the dark gray interior. While I wish the tires were more agressive, I think Im just used to the ones on the old truck. I strongly suggest this truck. Its strong, tough, and a dream to drive. We havent modified it at all, other than tinting the windows and adding a sprayed in bedliner. I really dont think we will need to. The truck is perfect. Even for the price. That is the only......

busycharles says "A sexy truck with minor problems" about Chevrolet Silverado - 2007

My sexy truck is a black exterior/interior Chevy Silverado Z71 4X4 with the bench seat in the front.

It's very roomy (and I'm tall so that's a great feature) and the ride is so smooth.

My biggest problem with the dark interior is that you notice every hair and piece of lint that gets stuck on it. My suggestion for this is to have a lint roller in the truck at all times. Other than that it's a great truck.

As for the storage, if you get a bench seat in the front, under the middle seat/lift up counsel the seat flips up to reveal a hidden compartment. There are also what look like 2 glove boxes on the passenger side and, in all 4 doors there's an area for putting more things. Did I mention that it has plenty of cup holders too!

As far as the wimpy tires go, I guess it all depends on either where you live or if you have 4-wheel drive or not because my truck came with great tires.

One thing that I wish it had was a power outlet in the back seat so the kids could plug things in back there...
...

My husband and I purchased this vehicle Oct 2006. We have never been so pleased with a new vehicle. The leather interior and 12 way seat adjustments are just one of the pluses to this vehicle. If you are lloking for something luxurios in a truck pick a silverado with an LT3 options package you won't be making a mistake....

I bought this truck mainly for it's hauling and towing capability, but with comfort while riding in mind. This truck pulls the camper like a champ! I tow a 27' travel trailer with it with no problem. The slide out towing mirrors are so nice to have. I love that it has seating for up to six, although I don't typically have more than 2-3 passengers at a time. There is plenty of leg room for the rear seat passengers, and the rear seats are as comfortable as the front. I like the way the back seats fold down and allow room for me to transport my dogs, in or out of their kennels. Being a big diesel it has done excellent on fuel mileage so far, I get about 18-22 miles to the gallon, for daily driving. I added on after market side step-up rails, this makes getting in and out easier. This truck has nice ground clearance.

We have had it for over three months now and still love it!
...
