i have a 2005 chevy equinox. my husband and i were on ou way home and we rearended a caddy. the only dmamge that was done was the engine cradle broke. the car was still drivable. This car is worth every penny. I wouldnt trade this car for anything. the equinox is excellent on gas, and runs really great. it is a daily driver and comfortable on long trips. i drove it 14 hrs to wisconsin and had to stop and fill up 4 times. 2 times there and 2 times back. excellent gas milage. would recommend to everybody. i find that this chevy is my favorite one out of all of them. ii have had a trailblazer and a blazer. i wanted a Tahoe but im glad i got this instead. my children love it and so does my husband. the only thing i want to do is change my wheels. my car has leather, xm radio, cruise control but its FWD. i like RWD or AWD. i still love my equinox though. if i could get a 2010 chevy equinox i dont think i would.
...

This is a great traveling car. I can transport five adult persons in complete comfort. I really like that is does not have that "hump" in the middle of the back set leg room. The floor is completely flat. It is roomy and comfortable. It gets very good gas mileage for its size. I have had no trouble with my 2005 Equinox, which I bought in September 2004. it is Easy to handle. It has a large cargo area. I have gotten three car seats in the passenger seat at one time. The Equinox is very stylish. It has a more femine look that I like. The all wheel drive is great. I have never had any trouble getting stuck in bad winter weather. It has a motor adjustable driver seat. The three power ports are very handy. one is also located in the cargo area. the steering wheel is also adjustable, but will not move easily by accident. Four power windows can be controlled by the driver. Safety features include child safety locks on the back doors, and rear windows that can be locked so they only open from...
...

My husband and I purchased the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox as a Christmas gift for myself in Dec. 2004, just after he returned from a year in Iraq. We still have the vehicle to this day and I am still satisfied with the quality of the vehicle. As a military family we move like a pack of wolves all over the country and endure some of the most extreme conditions of mother nature. This suv has not let me down a bit whether we've had to endure 5 feet of snow or flooding rains. We have traveled back and forth from Ft. Drum, NY to our home state of Alabama on several occasions, Ft. Benning to Alabama, Summerville, SC to Alabama and she has not gave me any problems. Considering that I have 2 children, one being a baby at one point, we had alot of extra things to pack for our long trips so this vehicle is also very spacious. The only thing that I have had to replace is the battery one time but that is a given on any vehicle. And the gas mileage is not the best now that the economy is...
...

Good space inside of car. I bought it new, it's just my daughter and I. I've driven it to Michigan and back to Texas several times. The mileage is appropriate for the cars size, but not the greatest. Cruise control is right on the steering wheel, which is convenient so you don't have to look around the steering wheel to see which part to switch, or hit, or turn while driving.
...

This vehicle is by far the best for the price I paid. I had a Saturn Vue for one year and traded in for the Equinox. I am truly in love this vehicle is comfortable, stylish, reliable, and affordable. There are no negative remarks I can say about this vehicle. I have owned it for two weeks and can't drive it enough. I love the leather seats with heated cushion. I am a school bus driver and this vehicle is like riding on air conpared to my school bus. I would recommend this vehicle to everyone I am surprised at how many people have never heard of the beautiful, wonderful, Chevy Equinox....

I was very impressed. I love the looks/style of the Equinox and my daughter loves it too. She is 17 and plans to purchase a Equinox also. Everyone that gets into my car is very impressed with the room and comfort of the ride. I love the way all of the seats fold down including the front passenger seat.
...

I wish I could find a job where all I did was drive this Truck. I bought My Equinox in 12/2005,and I have enjoyed it every day. I have 2 small children, and I have plenty of room. I can haul most anything in the small but roomy back portion of the Truck.I feel the children are well protected also. All my buddies want to get their own....

When we were looking for a new car i never thought i would actually get a 2005 car. My last auto was a 1996 Jeep cherokee i loved my jeep, but there wasn't much room in it. As soon as we test drove my equinox i knew it was the car i wanted. It is very roomy and takes about $35.00 to fill up. It is very comfortable to ride in....

I bought my Equinox when they first came out, and I love it! We bought this with the idea that when we have kids, we won't have to go out and buy a "mom" car, and even though we stil don't have kids, I still Love my car!

It's easy to drive, even for my husband who was TOTALLY against buying an SUV. The gas mileage is good for an SUV, I get about 17 city/22 highway. It is also easy to maneuver in traffic.

2 cons - the wind noise when driving is pretty loud. However, the stereo system has an "auto" control, so it gets louder when you speed up. Also, the mirrors seem to knock off pretty easily. I barely bumped my garage door, and had to spend almost $300 to replace the mirror, becuase not just the mirror broke, but the whole housing came off. But really, these are the only 2 things I would change!
...

My 2005 Chevy Equinox gets me to work and back every day on country road and expressway driving. The total trip is 82 miles and I love being in my Equinox. It is comfortable driving on cruise control most of the way. I have replaced the brakes at 28,000 miles, which I am told is good for the first replacement. My tires lasted 51,000 miles. I rotated them every 4,000 miles and got good wear. The SUV responds well in snow and sunny weather. Ice was a little tricky, but in reading the manual it specifically states when the roads are icy - stay home!

I have recommended the Equinox to everyone I meet and several of my coworkers now own or lease one. I would buy another one when this one wears out.
...

This is a great car. It drives great and handles well in all types of weather. The sound system is pretty good as well, could use a 6 disc changer, but that is minor issue. It is a really nice ride as well. Comfortable seats to go with a comfortable ride. This is just a nice and simple car the style, drive, the design on the inside is simple and makes sense. I really love this car.
...

I'm a mom with two dogs and I drive alot. I needed a vehicle with space for everyone, good gas mileage, and a reasonable price tag. My Equinox was everything I needed and more! It is comfortable, practical, easy on gas and very affordable! Other than routine maintenance, I haven't had any problems at all. I am very pleased with the total package. The only thing I can think of that may improve the Equinox is if the hatch could be popped via the keyless remote for those times when you have your hands full with groceries. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!
...

Bottom-Line: Over all, I was disappointed in the Chevrolet Equinox and by the end of the day I was glad to rid of the baby SUV and driving off once more in my comfortable Impala.

The Chevrolet Equinox had first come to my attention some time ago when GM was seriously considering making this beautifully style compact SUV a hybrid. At that time I was well prepared to trade up as it were in order to get better gas mileage, but much to my dismay GM pulled the plug on the hybrid idea and stuck an older (underpowered) pushrod V6 into the baby SUV and I lost interest. However I love the exterior styling of the Chevrolet Equinox and decided that the gas mileage even without the hybrid technology was acceptable enough to give it a try.

As I stated about the exterior styling on the Chevrolet Equinox is stunning. Gone are the square boxy lines of the Geo Track, which the Equinox replaced. These are replaced by fluid sensual curves that speak of power and majesty; indeed the styling is decidedly...
...
