They have changed my favorite toilet paper. I have used Charmin for many, many years because it was soft, lint free and lasted a reasonable length of time. Well someone had to mess with a good thing.......my grandmother always said "If it works, don't mess with it".....and that is what they did and now it does not work for me anymore. They have too many different kinds for one thing. OK, I will deal with that and just try them all until I get the one I want. Wellllll now I have tried them all and none of them are the one I want so I guess after all this time, I will be changing brands. It is so sad.....like leaving an old friend. Goodbye dear friend whereever you are. Both me and my tush will miss you.

Charmin has recently changed the weave of their ultrasoft toilet paper and it isn't for the better. True, this new weave is stronger, however if I wanted strong, I would've bought the ultra strong one. Speaking of which, it seems like they've changed the ultra strong too. The ultra soft now feels like the ultra strong and the ultra strong now feels like cardboard. I knew that alot of people were happy with the original ultrasoft.....don't know why they decided to change it. From reading other reviews, it looks like a lot of customers aren't happy about the new weave. I hope that they go back to the original.

Well I always bought Charmin Soft before this because I was always proud of the Charmin brand and I never planned to switch! When they came out with an economy line of their product I thought it seemed semi silly but I assumed it was of lower quality ilke the generic competitors or cheap papery feeling but I was surprisingly impressed when I bought a package to test and absolutely loved it. I am very picky about my toilet paper and I would never go back to even soft I tend to find this the perfect blend of FIRM and SOFT all at once- and my family all prefer it as well. It is much much cheaper then even their more expensive brand and I think its soo much better so of course I'd suggest it to anyone thinking about making the switch. I never tear it, or it doesn't miss (Eww sorry!) and honestly I think its something that will stick around forever and I prefer to keep this one so go try it!

I tried this product, Charmin Basic, a couple of years ago when I saw it for $5.00 at the local Dollar General. I would generally buy a "long lasting product" such as Scott tissue or a store brand. They simply were not as absorbant. I eded up running out much faster than I expected, plus they were not as soft.

Although the price has slightly increased, I still choose to buy Charmin Basic on a regular basis. Many times I will see either in-store coupons or manufacturer coupons in the local Sunday paper. By using the coupons, I actually seem to get the product for less than before the price increase, which is always a plus in theis economy.

I have always liked Charmin, but could not afford it since it is usually a bit pricier than my old brands, per sheet. However, this newer basic product has made is cost effective for me to add a little more comfort to my life. It also seems to last now that I am used to not needing to use so many sheets due to it's absorbancy.

I will keep buying Charmin...

Charmin Basic has become my family's favorite brand of toilet tissue. We never even look at the other brands. It is worth every penny and not expensive. Its soft and gentle, last for a long time, and does NOT leave behind lint.

I have used charmin my entire adult life..not anymore. It was not the original and the other two choices were extra stong or extra soft. I grabbed the 'basic' thinking it was the plain old regular, it was not. I'm looking for a new brand next time....

Charmin toilet tissue used to be my favorite, but lately it has fallen below standard. The rolls are so tiny, they last only a day or two, and the price is higher than ever. I have found better toilet tissue at a better price. I used Charmin for years and now I'm going to switch for good....

This toilet paper is soft and everything but I don't care for it much because the lint. Every time I pulled it off the roll you could see the little white lint fuzzies going into the air. I'm not crazy about that. We also go through Charmin really fast too for some reason.

When I first bought Charmin Basic, I thought that it would be very thin and rough, becuase it was so cheap. However, I was suprised to find that it is great paper for the price. It is not very thin, and softer than i thought. Great product!...

With a family of 6, keeping toilet paper on hand is a constant task. I applaud Charmin for coming up with Charmin Basic. I haven't found any other brand that compares for the price. The rolls last longer and it is good strong toilet paper. And...it's a plus that it doesn't leave behind any lint (great for the 4 little bottoms and 2 big ones in this house)! Great value and great product!...
