RudiXeno says "Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser: A gentle but thorough face wash" about Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

Many of you here know that I'm a "soaper". That is I enjoy and prefer to make and use homemade and natural conditioning soaps. No question about it there's nothing that feels so good as a rich natural soap when you're in the shower or bath.

So imagine my surprise when after picking up and trying my daughter's Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser I found it to be a very mild yet thorough cleanser. In fact, during the day it's perfect for use here in the sun-drenched climes of South Florida.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser is a product of Galderma Laboratories and made in Canada. It is most often is found in a 16 oz. pump bottle.

Although Cetaphil is a combination of various artificial as well as natural detergents it is extremely gentle on your skin. The inclusion of Castor Oil as one of its ingredients is impressive as it is a superb conditioner/moisterizer.

I generally use it during the day after I've been exposed to a good deal of sun. After wetting...
...

sheep4christ says "Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser Works!" about Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser is a very gentle facewash, and is good to use as a daily cleanser because it is not harsh at all. I personally have combination skin, and the cleanser made my face feel so clean, soft and smooth after using it. However, it did not help with the acne that exists on my face, as I was hoping it would. It did not cause any breakouts either though, it just did not get rid of the acne on my face, which is fine, since that isn't the purpose of this cleanser. Also, as always, after washing your face, be sure to moisturize so that your skin will stay hydrated and will not dry out. All in all, I love this cleanser and I will be using it for a while. So far it has not failed me, and it is a good product. The price is decent for the quality of the product, and it is definitely worth buying, or even just worth a try. It is a great cleanser, and I always feel great after using it! Not to mention, it comes with a pleasant scent!
...

kt047 says "The best facial cleanser for all types of skin" about Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

For those who have yet to try this product, where have you been? Don't spend your money on expensive facial cleansers and soaps that only perpetuate dry skin, acne, etc. Cetaphil works!

I was first introduced to this product by a dermatologist, who recommended Cetaphil because I have very dry skin. I have also experienced breakouts using a variety of skin cleansers, and since using Cetaphil my skin texture has improved dramatically. Breakouts happen on occasion, but I don't associate it with the actual cleanser. In fact, I think Cetaphil has helped reduce the amount of breakouts I have throughout the year.

If my experiences haven't convinced you, then check out the price. I recently purchased an 8oz bottle for $7.99 at CVS. Not bad, especially when you consider how much Clinique skin care products and other brands cost.

In addition to being a bargain product that works, it does not dry out skin like most products do. I have recommended this product to a number of friends and family,...
...

I finally gave in to the hype and tried Cetaphil a few months ago, and I have to admit that everyone who raved about it was right. This is miracle facewash, people. It makes my skin soft and clean, doesn't make me break out because it clears up the oil but isn't harsh at all, and you can even do the old wipe off with a tissue "cold cream" technique and use it as a moisturizer instead of rinsing it off (great for night time, it cuts down on the pesky wash-moisturize-whatever else steps). I can't believe I have spent so much time searching for the perfect face wash when plain ol' Cetaphil fits the bill perfectly. Highly, highly recommended for pretty much anyone - I mean, I have excema, hormonal zits, and a smidgen of rosacea, and this doesn't mess with ANY of those issues, just leaves my skin nice and clean and soft. Amazing.
...

Jessamine says "Gentle Facial Cleanser Worth the Extra Money" about Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

I have been using Cetaphil for 3 years. I normally have combination dry/oily and sensitive skin. Lotions, bar soaps and other "sensitive skin" topical solutions always irritate my face - breakouts, scratches, peeling, etc. Cetaphil is as gentle as water, but does not dry out or leave an oily residue. My face looks clearer and brighter. I've noticed that my breakouts, if any, are very mild.

I also have promlems with topical dermatitis, and this has soothed my skin during the colder seasons. I haven't had problems with painful patches around my nose and cheeks.

If you have a more severe oil, severe dry skin, or severe acne problem then Cetaphil may not be right for you as a stand-alone solution. It's a wonderful cleanser in combination with other topical medications, though. It's just a better option for very sensitive skin types and a great alternative to any bar soap that I've found. It also works well for make-up removal.

I just recently started using this because my dermatologist recommended it. It cleans well. Does not get too foamy and does not leave any weird residue or scents on your face. I have tried numerous cleansers in the past and once I find one I like I rarely change since any change in my skin care regime tends to make my face breakout. This one was great and did not cause break outs like most others when you first start using. I highly recommend it and the price is great for this cleanser. My advise is to avoid over priced designer cleansers and try this one.
...

I am a licensed esthetician. I've looked at women's skin under a lighted magnifier for nine years. Without fail, those who report using Cetaphil have clogged pores, often clogged with make-up because the product doesn't cleanse the skin. When doctors recommend this product, they do so out of ignorance and probably because someone gave them samples to pass out. I wouldn't even trust this product to clean skin that was already cleansed!
...

Vjohnson07712 says "Cetaphil is so overrated" about Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

I first heard of Cetaphil while skimming through a popular magazine one day. The review said that it was the best cleanser ever, that it was worth the bucks, so I figured I would give it a try. Skip a year later, i'm scanning the aisle in walmart and I really need some facial wash. I see Cetaphil and I'm reminded of that article in the magazine so I buy it and head home.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I wear makeup occasionally. Eye shadow, mascara and bronzer to be exact. So I need a facial cleanser that's going to be able to do the job for me at the end of the day not one that will have me scrubbing my skin till i'm red in the face.

I prepare to wash my face with the Cetaphil by first applying water to my face as the instructions read then I squirt some in the palm of my hand. I first notice that the cleanser is clear and fragrance-free which i like. I begin to wash my face and everything seems cool at first until I realize that my face feels like it's on fire. Wait,...
...

I have been following a skin care routine ever since I was 18. I am now 50 and have tried countless cleansers - Clinque, Dior, Estee Lauder, Lancome..... The last 10 years with the mail and online order of Avon and Yves Rocher, I tried their cleansers too and found that they are just as well as the famous brand names. I am a person enjoying trying new things, and I change my cleanser with the change of season. I like travelling a lot too and I bring the cleanser and skin care products according to that local weather.

Funny that I have heard about Cetaphil for a long time but never bother to try it until a year ago. My sister gets ultra sensitive skin and has been using it for life as recommended by her dermatologist. Last year while I was staying at her vacation house and ran out of my cleanser, I tried a few pump of her Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser and fell in love with it. At its price it has supreme quality. My mature skin felt extremely well after the first use. ...
...

zeecee says "Cleans gently without drying" about Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

Cetaphil is one of those products you buy and then remain loyal to as you can wash your face many times a day without puckering or worrying that you're taking away the little moisture that's left (if you're a dry skin person, as I am). I use very little, never have a problem of soap getting into my eyes, which is a huge plus, and a bottle lasts forever so at something like $8 or $9, it's a great buy. It also doesn't wash away, as a bar of soap does.

The bottle isn't attractive. If someone were smart, they'd make a nice looking dispenser that we could stick this into as I leave it on the top of my vanity in its plastic ugliness.

I've also bought the generic skin cleanser that's meant to duplicate Cetaphil and don't know that there's any difference so you might want to experiment on your own.

I've had no adverse reaction to Cetaphil though it's too large to take on trips, so I veer off and use soap when I travel, which reminds me how wonderfully gentle this cleanser is....
...

I used Cetaphil as a cleanser for both face and body after my dermitologist recommended it to me. The recommendation was based on it being a natural product that is non abrasive and safe for all skin types. Cetaphil had no fragrance added and that was a nice addition, and it was easily accessible-something that I could purchase over the counter. Cetaphil Cleanser appeared to be effective in cleansing and body, both my face and body felt clean. The problem wity Cetaphil was although my face and body felt clean, my face became more oily after a week. I realized the issues after using Cetaphil for about a week. Problems were with my T-Zone which seemed to become more oily. More specifically, I experienced black-heads on my nose chin and forhead which I previously did not have any problems with. In addition, the make-up I normally use, BareEssentials, did not apply the same ways as it did with the previous cleansers that I used. I rate the product, on a scale of...
...

I have had problem skin all my life. Even at 47, I still have acne flare ups on my chin. To keep it under control, without using perscription drugs or going to the dermatologist and getting shots, I wash twice a day with Cetaphil. It is a product which helps control acne, makes your skin feel clean and is very affordable. I will never go back to my high priced department store facial cleaners.

The way I use Cetaphil is every morning I first use a toner with a cotton ball to clean the oils off my face. Then I wash with about a dime size of Cetaphil. I like the gel consistency as it feels cool against my skin. I rinse off after gentle massaging it all over my face and neck.

At night, I have a slightly different routine. I go through my morning routine above, but then I also use a gentle scrub on my face to exfoliate the dead skin. I do this twice a week and follow up with a face mask. Once your a done, your face feels super soft and clean and the process helps to encourage cell turnover...
...
