I started using the wavemaster a few years ago in a cardio kickboxing class. My husband bought me one when I had moved from the area and I love it. I've had it for 4years now and the material hasn't broken down and the shape is still there. It has held up great and makes it so easy to kickbox whenever I want!...

sauryn says "I don't recommend this unless you won't be hitting with force." about Century The Original Wavemaster

I am not inpressed with the Wavemaster. Even the kids in my class can move this bag when they kick it. The base is not strong enough for a man to kick at all. I am a woman and when I kick the Wavemaster I can feel the core of the bag. The padding is not enough. One of the men in class cracked the base the first night we used it. Unless you are not going to be hitting the bag with any force I would not recommend it. A hanging bag is still better and more durable. If you have anywhere to hang a bag at home I would suggest doing so instead of buying a freestanding bag....

I love to box. This came as quite a surprise to me a few years ago, but there you have it. After working with a personal trainer who showed me how to box properly, I decided to buy a bag for myself and chose the Century Original Wavemaster bag for home use.

About Century and the Wavemaster
Century is a martial arts supply company. They make all sorts of martial arts/boxing supplies, including the heavy bag that I beat on three times a week when I'm at the gym. Based on Oklahoma, the company's been in business for about thirty years.

Century's original Wavemaster bag is a portable bag. The bag is filled with high impact foam and is covered in vinyl. The rounded base is made from durable polyethylene and can be filled with sand or water. The bag comes in three colors: black, blue or red. I chose blue. The bag can be adjusted from 52" high to 70" high. It weighs approximately 270 pounds when the base is completely filled. One of the benefits of this bag and its base is that no matter what...
...
