I like my century graco car seat alot. its black which is great to cover messes. its very comfortable for the baby to sit in. cushoned. sensible. has a cup holder. it can hold any size baby but i use my pumpkin seat right now b/c my baby is only 4 mos old and just begining to hold her head up very well. she also sleeps in the car alot and the pumpkins lays her down more whereas the century sits her up alot. which she will want when shes a little older. the design is simple which i like. i dont have much use for fansy stuff that when a simple one will complete the same function. not much more to say, its a good little car seat and seems very reliable . our car insurance agent suggested it and said it would be best. so there you go. i have used many different seats because i am a foster parent. and this one seems as good as any others i have used. will consider purchasing again in the future

2001 Century Car Seat Recall

Potential Problem:
The harness adjustment locking mechanism on the affected restraint system models may allow the harness webbing to slip through the device during a serious motor vehicle collision when the convertible restraint system is in the forward facing mode. The child may not be properly restrained, possibly resulting in serious injury or death.

Solution:
Consumers with Century car seats manufactured between April 9, 2001 and May 10, 2001 should contact Century at 1-800-837-4044 regarding the arrangements to replace the car seat. Consumers should have the model name, model number and date of manufacture of the car seat when making the call to the company. The information is located on the label adhered to the car seat.

I bought the Century Graco car seat when my oldest daughter, now eight, was born. It is a sturdy little thing!! It has gone through all three of my children, my youngest is two and it is still holding strong! I haven't had one need for repair. Can't aruge with that!

The material is nice and thick, and the harness comes apart easily for easy washing. It is also easy to install in the automobile, which comes in handy. I could not ask for a better car seat! The color also is very neutral, navy in color, which worked great as there were times we didn't know if we would be having a boy or girl. (we had three girls)

All in all I am completely satisfied with the product and would definately reccommend the product to anyone who asked!! In fact, I have;) My sister bought the same car seat, and although it's a newer model she is also singing her praises. To anyone looking at car seats, it doesn't take a lot of time/words to expalin how excellent this product is. The product...

I bought this seat from sears. Its a great seat because i only had to buy one. This seat is great it has soft foam to were my baby can be relaxed. Also its convertble. I WOULD SUGEST IF YOU WERE ON A BUDGET TO BUY THIS.

great seats for child, they are ok, not very tied, they work on the go, for fast action, no need to a lot of time, they are convienent and reliable, great for every day use, my kid will not cry when they are on. they go a long way for me and my kid, I and my wife love the easy way that to opreated it.

Saftey means a lot to me. Therefore, my ultimate goal is to provide a safety net/holder for my grandchildren. I have two grandchildren who spends a gread deal of time with me on a weekly basis. We do not stay home. We are always on the go. I had to come up with a perfect seat/chair for them that is desgin for their various weight, height, and body shape. After much searching for what I call the perfect chair I found Century Eccel SE, to be the perfect match for my immediately needs. With this said and done, I bought two chairs that fits perfectly in my mini van. My grand children loves their chair. I absolutely have no trouble with them getting in and out of the chairs. By the way, my grandchildren are 5 and 2. The five year old weights about 37 pounds and the 2 year old weights about 28 pounds. The chair go up to about 100 pounds. They will be in the chairs for a long time. They do not mind, neither do I. I will and do recommend this product to anyone and everyone...

Century Car Seats are economical and safe. The seat grows with the child until they reach 40 lbs or 4 years of age. The belt positioning on the seat allows for room to grow without pinching the child. This seat is easy to install and is rugged enough to with stand the child as he/she grows into it. The positioning in the rear facing is easy and requires a seat belt to keep it positioned in the back seat of the car. In most cars rides well in the middle of the back seat. In SUV's and mini vans the middle of the second seat. Pickup trucks-turn off the airbag on the passengers side before installing, positioning near the middle of the front seat, if you have a rear jump seat, position back there remembering to use the seat belts.

This a cost effective seat for families on a tight budget. The child gets one seat until 4 years old then can go into a booster seat that lasts until 10 years old. I have 19 grandchildren and everyone of them has used this kind of seat and has not had any problems...

It was inexpensive and works real well. My daughter has lots of room but is safely secured. We take long trips sometimes. This car seat has wide sides so she can lean her head to the side without straining her neck. We almost got caught up in a pile up on the freeway and slammed on the brakes. The restraints worked well and has completely satisfied me. The cup holders come in handy when its just the two of us and I dont have to pull over to find her cup. She used to get tired of holding her cup and would put it on the seat next to her. Now she can put it in the holder ans she can get it whenever she wants and we spend more time running errands than finding cups....
