There are so many generics and i really do use my share of them but when my doctor told me to be sure and get the name brand drug for a medical condition it worked so much better that i never tried another multi vitamin. At 45 i don' feel like i'm ready to retire but like so many people these days every bit counts and this product kicked butt.

Centrum has a huge advertising budget that they use to infuse their product name in consumer's minds. However, if you are vitamin savvy at all, you know that by comparing a really good multivitamin to Centrum Silver you will find it comes up short. Not all of the vitamins are naturally sourced. Synthetic vitamins are thought by some experts to not absorb as well as those from food sources. An example of this is looking for d-alpha sourced vitamin E. It is the natural source versus the dl-alpha synthetic source found in Centrum.

This is a case of you get what you pay for. If you are truly health conscious, pay a bit more and get a vitamin that absorbs well and provides a better overall health benefit.

I tried these vitamins and i recommend them they are very good. If you want to feel great and have lots of energy take the Centrum Sliver multivitamin they are wonderful.They have all your essential needs. I work very long days and don't always do the healthy choices. Not too long ago I went to the doctor - just feeling blah and tired all the time. I know with my schedule I don't always eat right. After taking test he suggested I start a multi vitamin. I tried several different vitamins for several months straight - never felt a difference. I was getting frustrated and decided to try one last one - Centrum Silver Tablets. I avoided them at first because I am not yet 50 - although I am so close I can feel it breathing down my neck! I have been using Centrum Silver since I turned 50 and I am happy with thids multiple vitamin. Consumer Reports had a favorable article on this mutivitamin within the last year or so. They reported that they did not perform test on this vitamin because it had be so consistent over the years in its content as claimed....

I have felt poorly for a few months; nothing major, just a tired, run down feeling. I had my blood tested and it showed I had plenty of iron so I decided I would try some vitamins. I chose Centrum Silver because of my age and the fact that I have used other Centrum products in the past with good results.

I feel like a made a wise choice. Within days I had more energy and was ready to enjoy many activities I simply had not had any interest in for a bit. Looking closely at the ingredients I discovered that the multivitamin/multimineral tablets supplied not only vitamins but many of the minerals my doctor was recommending. The added calcium and vitamin D will help my osteopenia, the antioxidants of vitamin C and E will help my skin stay younger and the vitamin A and Lutein will keep my eyesight strong and healthy. I don't think I can beat that.

Caution: I found the pills a bit hard to swallow [literally] but with a big swig of water they go down fine. Since they are a once a day......

I tried alot of vitamins which do nothing but give you a stomach ache and a weird feeling.
Centrum silver gave that boost of Energy I needed without caffine. Just natural energy..

Centrum Silver has everything I need, but can be a bit expensive. Look for coupons to use! I feel safer taking vitamins with the Centrum name, than some lower priced generic or health food brand. And it can be found in every grocery and drug store....
