This show is sooo cool. I love that these celebrities are doing this. It shows some viewers how they really need treatment and what there life is all about. I think it takes courage on there part to come on national tv and go threw this. Even tho a few either refuses to except the addiction and walk out or just plain refuses and stays on the show. I think Dr. Drew and Shelly are really good people who really cares for them. Its nice that Shelly worked out her problems and is there to go threw it with them and is there letting them know that " Hey I have been there". I look forward to the next time they are on.

I just had to remember to set my TiVo for Celebrity Rehab, a new show on VH-1 featuring celebrities going through a very public rehab for a variety of addictions, being helped by Dr. Drew Pinsky. This show was obviously one I needed to see, as a person that loves all entertainment, and enjoys watching what make people tick. It was a few weeks into the season, and I'd missed a few episodes, so I downloaded them off iTunes to catch up. After watching just a few, I was hooked and finally remembered to set my TiVo up.

Dr. Drew has brought some well-known celebrities into a rehab facility. He's brought someone he was introduced to on Celebrity Fit Club, Jeff Conaway. With a back injury he's had since the filming of Grease, he started on pain meds and it went from there. The bad part is he's now addicted to booze, painkillers, and cocaine, yet still lives in pain on a daily basis. Daniel Baldwin's substance abuse addiction had come to light on Fit Club as well.

I am a reality show sucker, so I definitely got sucked in by this new reality show on VH1. The premise of this show is reality in rehab. It isn't just any ordinary group of clinic patients, they are all celebrities and they are counseled by the famous Dr. Drew from Loveline. I love the tips and advice that Dr. Drew gives, and all he does to help the celebrities. But still there are those that are too far into addiction to be helped. During this hour show every week you see which celebrities can overcome the withdrawals, the pain and get clean. The show features celebrities like Jeff Conway from Grease who is so far into his addiction that you wonder if he will ever get out of it. There is also former wrestler Chyna, a girl from American Idol and a star in the adult movie industry among others. Each week you see the conversations and struggles of the celebrities as they all fight to overcome their addictions and make it out of rehab clean....
