this show provides positive aspects and negative ones. I would say that it is positive because people out there who are in the same situation can relate, the can maybe get some guidance as to what to do about their current weight. On the other hand, the negative aspect is that they focus a lot on the "fat is bad", I fell depressed sometimes after I watch the show. I use to like it, not any more...

Okay, I admit it. I watch this show when my husband is not home. I'm more than a little embarrassed because I this show is really very silly. But I get drawn into the personal struggles, and find myself cheering for everyone to do well. Of course, the stupid squabbles between contestants, and drawn out ending weigh-in reveals make my brain hurt. The show is a guilty pleasure of mine when nothing else is on....

bigredsmom76 says "The fighting turns us off!" about Celebrity Fit Club

My boyfriend & I are avid reality tv show fans. Celebrity Fit Club was an enjoyable show when it began, but it has progressively gotten worse. We feel that the stupidty and crude actions of some of the celebrities takes away from the whole point of the show.

The producers should know that the concept itself would be enough to keep the show going. Let us see what the celebs go through while honestly dropping their weight. Perhaps it would give the rest of us real incentive to do the same!

Maybe a few behind the scenes clips could be added - as well as the story behind their life before and after the show.

With the show as it is, we now refuse to watch it. If they would clean it up, they might have whole families watching and actually gaining something from the concept. As it is now, we consider it to be TRASH!
...

This is a great show if you like to see positive outcomes for celebrities that are willing to battle their weight and their demons in front of the TV audience! Srgt Harvey, Dr Ian and the rest motivate and support the celebrities through their journey to recapture their looks of a bygone era In the end its evident that STAR status does not provide them with immunity from the excesses of life that ultimately leads to the limitations and breakdown we see via the condition of the contestants on their debut. It so great from a human perspective to see them overcome their fears, insecurties and weight issues!
...

I am not big on watching TV but I did watch 3 seasons celebrity fit club and found the quite inspiring to help me lose weight. However, after the first few seasons I lost interest in the people they were recruiting for the show and stopped watching. Overcourse being overweight comes with other issues but the show was dealing too much with the other issues and I started losing that inspiration I had because there was just too much drama.
...

OMG. I am so annoyed by the past season. What happened to the celebrities being overweight. The last seasons cast were barely plus size material. I can think of many actors, musicians, comedians, etc that would be perfectly ideal for the next season. Furthermore, how about some celebrities that aren't so C- D list next time. Adios, toodles, caio...

The first season or two of this show was interesting. I believed that the celebrities were there to really lose weight and get healthy. Harvey was his normal grouchy self, but seemed to soften up over the next few seasons. It's an interesting show, but I have found that I can't stand to watch it anymore. I have to turn it off. Inevitably there is one or two celebrities who try to stand out by being childish, insulting, crude, rude and by acting just plain ignorant. Two words: Dustin Dimond. He made the last season of CFC the LAST season I will watch. The idea is good, but I think they try to create drama that isn't there by editing and scripts. Then they have a psychologist who tries to make the celebrity cry by bringing up past issues. It just seems to contrived and sappy. Go back to losing weight and I'll go back to watching....

I watched every episode of this show. I thought it was great to watch them struggle to loose the weight and see what challenges they overcome. There are too many easy way outs. It's nice to see people pay to sweat it out instead of paying somebody to suck it out of their ass!...

I have been watching this show since it first aired and I would like to say that it is inspiring to see the celebs getting fit the healthy way (besides Dustin). So many times we hear how celebs have gone through some extreme and outrageous measure just to lose weight. This show isn't just about losing weight, but getting fit. No matter what size or age you are, you need to be physically fit....

Quick View

Celebrity Fit Club pits eight overweight celebrities split into two teams against each other to see which team can lose the most weight in a 100 day period. Lots of drama ensues but there are also some inspirational and touching moments on the show.

The Full View

Celebrity Fit Club is a show I really thought I would hate. Even though I am an admitted reality show watcher, the idea of B celebs competing against one another to lose the most weight just didn't sound appealing to me.That was five seasons ago. Now I watch the show regularly, if only to see which of the celebs will implode each season.

The Premise of the Show

Eight overweight celebrities split into two teams, competing in a series of fitness challenges and following personalized diets to see which team can lose the most weight in the course of 100 days.

The celebs are overseen by a doctor/nutritionist, a psychologist, and a military boot camp fitness expert. (Harvey Walden IV, who now has a fitness video out that I am too...
...
