I really wasnt for sure about the cruise to begin with. Once I stepped on the ship though, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable experience. Every one was so nice and if you needed anything they were there. The ship was really clean and nice. It was my home on the water for a week! I would recommend it to everyone!

An Alaskan cruise on Celebrity is awesome. The balconey room, the butler, the dining room, the captain, and the other personnel are magnicifient....

I travelled the European meditteranean route and have never been so disappointed by a cruise line. Celebrity is worse than a bad camp, the food was caferteria style bad from breakfast to dinner-then the service gets dicey.At one point I had to laugh and just know one day I would write about my experiences on that cruise and laugh again. Everyday there was an actual line to complain at the purser's and the director's desk's, and people were yelling at them. And at dinner one night, my tablemates got a dirty glass that was caked with(get this-yuck!) dried on milk. They never returned to the fine dining only one more time, instead feeling safer with the food you have to pay additional for. Our waiter's assistant wouldn't serve one of my tablemates coffee whenever she asked. But anyone else at the table could order it- at first we assumed he was joking,but we had communication issues, and never resolved it. The other tablemates simply yelled and got the maitre'd involved until they...

This cruise was awesome. I was expecting something much less than this. We had a blast. We went for 5days, and I must say it was the best 5days of my life. For anyone who has never been on a cruise before, check it outttttttttttttt. The food is awesome, The ride was beautiful. You can relax, stay up all night. The entertainment is fabulous. I am the type of person where I am easily entertained. I can have fun wherever I am, whatever I am doing. I dont really have anything else to compare this to, But I would rate this cruise a 10 plus!!!!!!...

I would start this review with the observations that either you love cruising or you don't. I now know I don't love cruising, but despite this, I would expect any cruise line I traveled on to treat me with respect, to apologize when service is not up-to-par and to (at least) try to retain me as a customer no matter what my feelings on cruising are.

It seems clear Celebrity does not agree.

Our story: After hearing about the great experiences our "cruising friends" related, we anticipated that our first "cruise experience" would be (basically) good. However, from the start a number of elements, most of them small and some, but not all out of Celebrity's control ruined the experience:

- Our story begins with the failure to notify us that our luggage would not be delivered to our cabin until almost 10 pm the first day. While I realize the need to screen luggage is critical now-days, the least Celebrity could do, would be to notify us of the delay (we were told the luggage would be brought...

I had a great time on the cruise. It was the first time I had gone on one. It was with my immediate family as well as my grandparents and some cousines. There was plenty of food to eat (nonstop) and plenty of activities. Most of the time we just ate and relaxed by the pool. I liked how we had to dress up for some of the meals. It added some elegance to the dining experience. It would ahve been nice to have the rooms a bit bigger but I guess that's a small price to pay for the overall experience. It was truly great and I'd definitely do it again. Who knows, I may end up taking my family there someday....

I had the best experience on this cruise. The staff was helpful with everything I needed, from clean towels to a new room. The food was delectable, my taste-buds were overwhelmed. The views from the ship were beautiful. The cabins were exquisite and very comfortable....

It was my first time to go on a cruise. I didn't know what to expect. The activity there weren't exactly my cup of tea. So the days that was just on the boat only, it can get boring. But they brought in a caricacurist, and it was nice to get a complimentary drawing.

The food was great. Can eat 24/7 on the boat. And the hospitality was great. I especially liked the gala and having to dress up for dinner to eat with the captain. Certaintly it was a nice cruise and would go on another one.

The Mercury is part of the Celebrity cruise Line. I have sailed on her three times, two times this year with the last time in the end of October. All areas are rated 1-5 stars

Cabins *****

As with most cruise lines, the Mercury offers many cabin choices from inside to suites. In October, we had a balcony on the 11th floor, which was nice as it was enclosed on the sides so we were able to sit out there while being protected by the wind.

When we were there ilast, we stayed in room 8004. This is a great room with a lot of extra room. It is in the very front of the ship with a large picture window, giving us the same view the Captain had while driving the ship. It was a perfect room for going up to Alaska since it would have been too cold to sit on a balcony but it was great to view the Ports as we came into them. Being in the front of the ship, it has a bit of extra movement that might be a problem if you are prone to seasickness or hit really rough waters. Fortunately, we had smooth sailing...

Celebrity offers a variety of cruises to many places in the US, the Islands.... each one is unique but they each have an excellent value for the dollar. The food and entertainment are great. the have enough things ot do on the ship and excursions to please everyone....

May 2006, took a 7 day cruise on the Mercury from Seattle to Alaska and back. What a treat. The staff was attentive, courteous, and a lot of fun. The accupuncturist was wonderful and helped my entire party to rid themselves of some nagging maladies. The multi-course dinners were absolutely wonderful. We were provided the opportunity to try all sorts of new foods that never would have been in our budget. The ports we stopped in offered great activities. The on-board activities were aplenty, and there was fun to be had by all. Definitely will cruise with Celebrity again....

It was a great short trip. I was with a large group and everyone had a good time, regardless of their interests. The food was good but not outstanding, particularly at lunch. Entertainment was also mediocre, but nothing stopped us from having a great time.
