Cascade Complete has always been my favorite. I like the convenient pour spout and the handle and I love that it is liquid so I can just pour it right out. The smell is good, but when it gets on my hands it's hard to wash off. I sticks to skin. I gets my dishes a great clean and doesn't leave spots. My dishes dry well with Cascade and I love the price and get coupons often, which always helps. I love the smell. It is very light and fresh and clean smelling.

Now for Electrasol, well, I think that they both do a great job and I didn't really find anything that I didn't like about either one of them. The smell was a little stronger which I didn't particularly like, but it wouldn't prevent me from buying. The price is about right on both of them but Electrasol doesn't provide as many coupons as Cascade. I recycle the bottle which is nice and I like how I can flip both of them upside down to get every last drop and it won't leak out the lid.
...

I have used Cascade Complete for several years now and am always dissatisfied when I try to "cheap out" and use a different produce other then the complete version.

The Cascade Complete dishwasher dishwashing detergent does the job right without leaving a film on my dishes. It does not matter which scent--just choose one that you like and stick with this product.

Others sometimes do not get the dishes completely clean, or leave a film. Cascade Complete is pretty expensive compared to other brands, but worth the money!
...

Cascade gel dishwasher detergent is in my humble opinion the best product available on the market today. I have recently moved into my own home and have started using the gel as I feel that really deep cleans my dishes well. We have a full dishwasher load every night so this is used often. I have tried other brands-all other brands and many different additives to enhance their performance, but none compare to Cascade gel. I have also used the gel packs which are extremely neat and convenient but prefer the actual gel. I think the gel itself gets to work immediately on my dishes and leaves the, clean, sparkling and fresh smelling. There are many different variations of this gel to choose from as well and I like to have choices. Cascade gel also gets my silverware shining like new without that "rainbow" water stain look or dull spotting. My glasses are clear and squeaky clean. I would not use any other brand even if they were giving it away.

I'm all for trying new products and comparing them against my preferred products. I've been using Electrasol for years. I decided to pick up some Cascade complete because it was on sale and that it would give me an opportunity to test out something new.

I loaded up the dishes in our dishwasher as usual. Filled the compartments and started the machine on the same settings as always. When the cycle was finished I opened up the machine to find a terrible film on the dishes close to the liquid soap dispenser. After looking over the rest of the dishes in the top rack and further from the dispenser those were all clean without spots. Thinking this was a freek happening. I decided to run the washer again using the same soap and repositioning the dishes a bit. When the cycle finished I opened the washer to find the same soap film. I called Cascade and was offered a refund of the product.

I went to the store and picked up Electrasol and rewashed the dishes. This time when I rewashed the...
...

fla1548 says "Cascade and Electrasol both contain harmful phosphates" about Cascade Complete vs. Electrasol Advanced Dishwashing Detergent

Electrasol is like Cascade in that they use phosphates to clean dishes. For those who don't know about phosphates, it was banned from laundry detergents in the 1960's because it was
considered a health risk to drinking water, fruits and vegetables, milk supplies and beef. It was found to cause birth defects and cancer related problems. So my question to Electrasol is this: why is it that Electrasol and Cascade both continue to use ingredients that are harmful to our health in so many different ways? Our laundry detergents still get our clothes very clean without phosphates, so its about time Electrasol and Cascade get responsible!!!...

I bought Cascade dishwasher soap and was very dissatisfied. It seemed to leave a film on my dishes. My dishes also seemed cloudy. The liquid soap also clumped up so that I could not squeeze it out of the bottle. I had to end up throwing away about 1/3 of the soap because I could not get it out to use it....

Although I use Electrosol in my dishwasher, I use it more to wash my whites in the laundry. Not as strong as bleach so it doesn't break down the fibers like the bleach does and cleans just as well. It also does not have the strong odor that bleach does.
I like in the dishwasher as well. I very rarely have spots and doesn't get the dispenser all gunky like some of the other products I've used. I've recommended this product for both uses to many friends and have gotten great feedback from them....

I, along with the rest of my family, are not "pre-rinsers" meaning we don't rinse our dirty dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. Because we are lazy, we need a dishwasher detergent that is going to work some magic and get the food and oils off the dishes and leave them sparkly clean.

Everyday for 10 days, I used both the Electrasol Advanced and the Cascade Complete each one time. I paid close attention to how dirty the dishes were and actually kept track of which one worked better each day. Not really scientific but I wanted to be thorough!

Electrasol Advanced (Lemon Scent)
I didn't notice a lemon scent while my dishes were being...
...

I am a regular user of Electrasol Dishwashing Detergent and although I have tried others, I have always come back to Electrasol.

Cascade Complete Liquid vs. Electrasol Advanced Liquid Dishwashing Detergents

The epic battle between two different liquid dishwashing detergents was set to take place in my house, after receiving both of them as test products. In the past I have used Cascade's powder detergents quite often, and with the chance to try out both Cascade's and Electrasol's liquid detergents, I was up for the challenge. We do a lot of dishes in our house, and it isn't uncommon to have the dishwasher running at night when we head off to bed. The delayed timer is really a nice thing to have, so we will load up the dishwasher and head off to bed. Typically the dishes are all rinsed out before being put in the dishwasher, but a lot of them will make it to the dishwasher without a thorough cleaning. This leaves a real task for the dish-washing detergent, and one which I was excited to see if these two detergents could succeed at accomplishing.

*Cascade Complete Liquid

The Cascade Complete...
...

To the Point

I was asked to review and or compare Cascade Complete and Electrasol Advanced dishwasher detergent. We use our dishwasher constantly. I think someone comes in and puts their dishes in our washer! These are both 75- ounce bottles (A somewhat heavy bottle) and can be bought in the $5.00 range.

A Closer View

Cascade Complete advertises on the green bottle that I don't have to pre-wash. I should just scrape food off the plate and my dishes will be clean and shiny. The website www.cascadeclean.com tells me that Cascade Complete comes in a variety of scents though my bottle does not tell me what, if any, scent it is. When I smell this gel it smells clean and fresh so perhaps it is the Fresh Scent. It doesn't smell like Citrus or Melon.

Cascade Complete has what is called Bleach Hydroclean Action (trademark) which should thoroughly clean plates and glassware. Cascade Complete has a childproof top that may be difficult if you have arthritis. I like the large handle that it has; however,...
...
