I love the size of the carter's blankets. I've had them since my daughter was born and they are really great for swaddling. They are big enough to wrap around your baby a few times so seal in the heat but also thin to avoid overheating. That designs they have are also really cute. I got the butterfly package which goes great with her green and purple butterfly room. It is hard to find those colors since pink is so popular for little girls but these worked out well. Now that my daughter is out of the swaddling stage I sewed two together and made a simple laundry bag out of it. Which once again matches her room. You can also get these on really good sales at Carter's or Babies R Us so you save a lot of money that way. My only problem with them is that they are really soft when you buy them but after they are washed they aren't as nice anymore. But that's just how flannel is with everything.
...

PartyOfSeven says "Bigger than most and this makes a lot of difference!" about Carter's Wrap Me Up Receiving Blankets

I purchased a set of these blankets for a friend of mine having a baby and although she received a lot of receiving blankets she has informed me that the Carter's blankets are the ones that she used. Why? Because they are made well, stand up to repeated washings without changing size or shape and because they are BIGGER than all the others she received. The extra 10 inches of material makes the difference in being able to tuck that corner in when swaddling (and not being able to). A swaddled baby, in this case, meant a happy baby.
...

connorsmama04 says "Carter's Receiving Blankets are super for swaddling!" about Carter's Wrap Me Up Receiving Blankets

We LOVE Carter's Receving Blankets. Their generous size is perfect when you have a newborn baby in the house, especially a long one that needs a big blanket for swaddling! They are the perfect size and make swaddling and cuddling your newborn super easy. I have been so frustrated with most of the "generic" receiving blankets I have been using, until I opened a new package of Carter's blankets. They washed up so soft and cuddly - the flannel was beautiful and gentle for baby's tender skin. I was even more pleased when I laid the blanket out to swaddle my newborn. Instead of encountering a too-short blanket, I actually had more than enough blanket to wrap around her. I even had to fold up one side so it didn't cover too much. Perfect!! Now I have a drawer full of too small blankets that end up getting used for burp cloths, and a handful of Carter's blankets that I go back to over and over. They have been washed so many times and are still holding up beautifully! Thanks...
...
