the ships decor and atmosphere is terrific. but every activity costs a fortune and you have to use a sail and sign card (no cash accepted). the fine dining wasnt that fine, they had alternate dining of crappy food wiht fancy names, like fresh eggs that were powdered eggs, and only unsweetened tea and water and coffee to drink. They only have coke products for your fountain card, and they only come in can form. I didnt purchase one and i had tea or water all day, and oj in the morning. When i asked for oj in teh day they wanted to charge me. So if you dont enjoy water or tea you will be thirsty. Their 24 hour pizzaria offers pepperoni that id never pay for so thank god it was included, adn the five deli options never change. The other pizzas offered had weird things on it like artichokes and anchovies, and the pizza maker loved to ignore customers. My fine dining was awful, wrecked by some redneck with no shoes always comming to dine drunk and loud, and even though we asked the waiter to...
...

Love-Cruises says "Carnival Customer Service is HORRIBLE - WILL NEVER BOOK AGAIN." about Carnival Cruise Lines - Valor

My husband and I are booked with Carnival and we leave this Saturday. I must say, at this point, (before the trip), we believe we will never book with Carnival again. Dealing with Carnival directly has been extremely disappointing, from a Customer Service aspect. I was inquiring about changing cabins (type: private balcony), as we are unhappy with the assignment received. The answer of "no", although disappointing, is understandable. The "too bad" attitude of the Carnival personnel is not understandable and is what has caused us to think this is our first AND LAST Carnival cruise. Customer Service is more than resolving issues. It is more about how you handle people. (how you speak to them, how you try to sound like you care, etc.) Clearly, we've chosen the wrong Cruise Line with which to spend our time and money. Beyond our decision not to choose Carnival again, we will inform our friends and families not to also. It's important to realize that money and cabin choice is NOT the issue....
...

The Carnival Valor was my second cruise with Carnival. The overall experience was sensational. My trip was very recent from Nov. 18th-25th, 2007. The islands we hit included the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Martin which was the most beautiful. The best of each island includes: for the Bahamas take a taxi to the Atlantis resort. They have a public beach you can use but if you're lucky like we were, we utilized everything the hotel had to offer. I don't recommend paying for the excursion tour because you can see everything on your own and save yourselves $50.00.
St. Thomas was also very beautiful. If you have never been it's better to take an individual taxi as the week we went 22 of our fellow passengers had a major accident. They put you in like cattle in these buses that don't have seat belts and no doors so there is no protection. It's definitely worth the wait. One of the best beaches was next to the Marriott Hotel. Just ask to be taken there and it's close to the beach. The water is...
...

danuslight says "Outstanding Value and Vacation!" about Carnival Cruise Lines - Valor

The ship and the crew were outstanding! There was a variety of entertainment and never a dull moment. Mark in the Piano Bar was the highlight entertainer of the cruise! The lunch and dinner menus were different everyday. The ports visited on the eastern itinerary were Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Would do this ship and itinerary again without hesitation! To comment on my con of the Port of Miami, we disembarked into the old terminal where you are 'dumped' into a warehouse. No air conditioning, chaos to find luggage, extremely dirty and very rude employees....

this was the first time me and my family went on a cruise. we were a little nervous, but within the first few hours, the friendly staff and atmosphere brought us to the realization that we would be long time cruisers.

the ports, bahama, saint thomas and saint martin were georgous.

the kids place was incredible, they took care of my girls with friendly kid activities, my girls are a bit picky so i was worried that after there first day there, they would not want to go back, but the friendly staff and fun time they had made them want to go back every chance they could, and i got to spend some quality time watching the shows and playing the slot machines.

we had a blast, and i will and have recomended this cruise to anyone who will listen.
...

We went on this cruise for our honeymoon last summer and it was great! The crew was amazing! They were responsive and made us feel welcome. I've never seen so much food in my life! All of it was great! The entertainment each night and the different activities offered were fun! The other guests on the ship were polite as well. I can't wait to go again!...

The ship was great and the crew was fantastic. Unfortunately, this was a sold out cruise and their were lots of large groups. Many of the other passengers were very rude and thought of no one else but themselves. I would recommend this ship but would try to take it in the "off season" when it isn't so crowded....
