The sit down dinners were wonderful. The buffet that you had during the day was never hot. The staff was never very friendly. Enjoyed the entertainment and the islands. Club Carnival for the children was not supervised very well.My child went in for an hour and refused to go back....

This was my third cruise I went with 3 others. One it was her first cruise ever. The other 2 were cruisers from another cruise line. We were ladies looking to have fun for a short time. WE DID! We chose this cruise for several reasons...one it was inexpensive, 4 days (that all the time we had) and it was there (we really wanted to go).

We drove to our port, which was Port Canaveral, Florida. It was about an 8-hour drive for us. We did sight see on the way...St. Augustine and Ormond Beach. We spent the night in Ormond Beach area. The drive to the port the next morning was about an hour, but it went very quickly with the 4 of us talking about what we are going to do once we get there.

Parking: We dropped off our bags...you would have thought we were running away from home for all the baggage we had...we tipped a dollar per bag...we expected that and planned for it. Parked the car $12.00 per day cash or credit card ahead of time. Parking is NOT COVERED. Walked to the building....

I recently got back from a Carnival cruise aboard the Carnival Sensation. I traveled with quite a few friends to Nassau, Bahamas last month for my 30th birthday. We arrived at Port Canaveral on Thursday at about lunchtime and enjoyed a great afternoon by the pool with a nice cool and festive beverage and great sunshine. The Miami vices are my favorite drink aboard Carnival cruises - its a mixture of Pina Colada and Strawberry Daquiri. That night we had a great dinner with wonderful food as usual - The Chocolate Melting Cake is to die for - I ordered it every night. The next day we arrived in the Bahamas and went diving with the introductory class. The water was about 74 degrees, which is way too cold for me in the Carribbean - but the dive was ok. We walked around Bahamas for a while and then went back to the ship for our formal night of dinner. They definitely should've had the formal night when we weren't scheduled to be at port.

Having traveled on Princess and Royal carribean, this was just horrible. There are just way too many little kids and not nearly enough programs for them. If I was in college and on Spring break then maybe, but for a family there is no way I would ever go again. The food and service is medicore at best. I think the biggest disappointment were the elderly people on board, they we so rude. We don't mind waiting in line, but some of us are retired veterans and we aren't in the best of shape either. So don't assume that just because you are over 60 that you are entitled to push and shove us around....

POOL SHUT DOWN ON LEAVING PORT DUE TO VOMIT AND NOT DRAINED OR REFILLED TILL 11AM THE NEXT DAY SO NO SWIMMING. FOOD COLD THE FIRST NIGHT IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM ( 5 STAR A NOT ). BREAKFAST IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM ON THE NEXT MORNING AGAIN NOT HOT OR LUKE WARM AND HAD TO GO TO THE LIDO DECK AFTER WAITING FOR 30 MIN FOR THE 5 STAR BREAKFAST TO BE DELIVERED AND WAS NOT RIGHT AND COLD. PURSER WAS NOT CARING AND BLAMED CONFUSION FOR PROBLEMS. WE LOST A CAMERA AND WENT TO THE PURSERS DESK TO FIND IT AND AFTER WAITING 40 MIN IN LINE A MAN CAME UP AND CUT IN LINE AND WAS HELPED IN FRONT OF ME AND WITH A SMILE. I WAS NOT GREETED AND I PROCEEDED TO DESCRIPT THE CAMERA AND THE PURSER WALKED AWAY WITH NO WORDS. HE DID HAVE THE CAMERA ON HIS RETURN AND MY WIFE THANKED HIM AND I DID THE SAME AND ASKED FOR A HAND SHAKE AND HE REFUSED AFTER THREE REQUEST. HE JUST RETURNED OUR MEMORIES. I GUEST IT WAS DUE ETHIC DIFFERENCES SO CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL. THE CRUISE HAD SOME GOOD PEOPLE BUT......

Went on this cruise with friends and family. It was awesom. The food was out of this world and oH so much of it.Very elegant and tasty dishes. I loved the midnight bulffetl with all the carvings and ice scultpures. Had a great time and the entertainment was as good as vegas shows. IT WAS GREAT!...

The family enjoyed the Carnival Sensation cruise to the Bahamas. There were lots of things to do. The kids camp carnival for ages 9-11 could use a little revamping my child is 11 and was very bored with the childest things offered. They were able to hang out with the older group of kids and then it become more enjoyable for them.

The spa experience was awful I ordered several services and with each one I given a hard sales pitch to order the products and that is not why I ordered the service just wanted to relax and enjoy it. I will not use the spa again. I had always dreamed of getting a spa treatment, but on previous cruises could not afford it. I bite the bullet and splurged this time and was highly dissappointed.

All and all I will cruise carnival again and enjoyed my experience.

Great price packages! I think this was one of Carnival's older ships but it was still in good shape...the interior was similar to other cruise lines I've been on e.g. Royal Caribbean. They have great activities for all ages and their live shows are wonderful. On another note, they are picture happy, so be prepared to take candid photos throughout the trip. You can also take professional pictures on board that can be purchased before leaving the ship, so if you can remember, be prepared for a nice family photo that you can purchase and take home...it's a great memento. The spa is great and they offer different specials each day so if you can, try to take advantage of it.
The food and service I think is not as great as Royal Caribbean. For example I can say that on a Royal Caribbean cruise, the food was impeccable on a daily basis - hot, fresh, flavorful and lots of variety. On Carnival things are sort of hit and miss, great on some days, but not others.

We just went on our second cruise for the carnival sensation and it is well worth the money! We didn't go to be treated like kings and queens and eat at 5 star dining, we went for the fun, and we had it! We paid under $200 for four nights and three days, how can anyone eat for that much on vacation, not even including rooms, the shows, gym, pools, slide, and CHILD CARE! The kids loved the camp!! you couldn't even pay for that with what we paid. This is a great cruise if you just want to get away for the weekend and relax and not worry about where to eat or what to do for fun, it comes to you!...

Sensation was our first cruise (for our Anniversary). It met out expectations for the most part. We enjoyed our trip immensely.

The moment we got to the port we were treated with VIP service. Our cabin was on the on Verandah Deck (V2). This was a Suite with a private balcony and twins that convert to king size bed (11). The views from the balcony were beautiful. Our bathroom was larger than I had expected. It had a nice sized shower, sink and toilet. Overall I would rank this room at a "10".

The Staff on the boat was super - well beyond our expectations. (Every time we messed up the bed - they made it! ) At night our bed would be turned down with a "towel animal" waiting for us to smile at.

I had ordered roses and chocolates for the room and surprise anniversary cake awaiting for us the second night. There was a mix-up with the roses (which ended up being my error) that was handled swiftly and courteously.

I should note that the seas were extremely rough. A hurricane...
