It is a card that is accepted everywhere, and well known all over. I like the flexible rewards offered, from cash back to travel, you name it. They have a low interest rate and great customer service and support.

I never worry about theft, the credit company reimburses all fraudulent activity. It happened to me while I was traveling, they credited my account promptly, with a very simple explanation I had to provide.

My parents co-signed on a CapitalOne Platinum credit card for me when i was in 7th grade for a little extra security during an overseas trip to Europe. I am currently 26 years old, 3 years out of college, and have kept the card all this time. I have also since removed my parents from the card. This card has been wonderful. Only once have i ever made a late payment, and due to my diligent payment history, one phone call was all it took to have the late payment fee removed. If i ever have questions regarding my statements or how to pay online, the representatives are very friendly and helpful. I also get "No Hassle Rewards" points for every purchase i make with my card. With my points, i am able to shop online, take the cash, pay my bill down or even get free gift cards to places like Home Depot, retail stores and even restaurants and movie theaters!!! I realize that i have never had to have "tough" issues resolved seeing that i have a 9-year, almost perfect payment history with Capital...

When I was planning a trip to Euope this spring, I decided to apply for a Capital One Platinum card. I had read about it in a Rick Steeve's travel book as one that I might get before leaving the country. So I applied. I have outstanding credit, but when the card came, I was given a very low credit line which was not going to be very helpful on a 5 week trip to Europe. I had been expecting to use it almost exclusively abroad since it has not foreign transaction fee which sounded great to me. When I called Capital One, the representative was very abrupt with me and told me my credit limit could not be increased at this time as an earlier representative had suggested. I asked him is I sent a check for several thousand dollars, would that work to use abroad to avoid the fee. His curt response was, "yes, of course". When I got to Spain, I was able to use the card for about $50 worth of transaction, but on the next one, it was denied. After that happened several times, I called, only to get a...

I love my Capital one Capital One Platinum Mastercard. I started out with only a 500 credit limit. After I made the first 3 payments on time and did not go over the limit, they automically gave me a 500 credit limit increase. I also received a notice that said if I continue to make the remaining 3 payments on time that I would automatically receive another 500 credit limit increase making my credit limit 1500 dollars. I do pay my bills but have some unpaid medical bills on my credit and a lot of inquiries on my credit report. However, capital one saw the issues and gave me the opportunity to be able to get a credit card with a nice limit on it. When I first got it, I thought to myself that a 500 credit limit will not buy the big things that I wanted like tv's, computers, etc. They have online access to view your accounts. You can add all accounts to be able to view them all at one time. You can have more than 1 account with them. You earn points to be able to purchase gift cards, items,...

They were great in the beginning. They would not increase my limit to more than $500 for 4 years of having them and always payting them on time in full. After being an outstanding customer for over 4 years they decided to make my interest rate from 4.99 to 13.99 they claim its becuase of the economy...

This is a review about the capital one platinum credit card. It is an awesome card to have, I have had it for about 3 years now, and I have never gone over my limit. They are awesome with their customer service and they will do there best to help you in any way they can. For example I had made a payment and they charged me X.00 dollars for the payment. I called them and asked why I would be charged for making a payment they advised me that most credit card companies are doing the same and I could take a look and see myself. Which I did and they all do charge some kind of online convienence fee, but capital ones was low and they also let me slide on my next 3 X.00 dollar amount fees. So in my mind i considered that to be helping me to the best of their ability. The company is very structured and good, I also have a bank account with them and having both the bank account and the credit card really compliment eachother.
