housss says "Why have one." about Capital One - VISA

I have a bad debt to pay because of the misleading way I was led to have credit cards. The way things are sown upon the soul is a sin. I have the debts to pay of the credit cards and I am doing my seven year payment plan with God of the bible. I do not thing we should have credit cards with the interest rates as high as they are. I want no more credit cards and we spend the cash we have and maybe some day free cash in the other world. I am always in debt now and and pray my 500 score value will go up to get a car. Well, anything sown in dishonor will be made in honor. I have to continue to pray not to get another credit card and to gain interest and do you know someone got over with the lean on my house. I cannot sell it ever. Well, we will let the dishonest ways upon people be of the glory of God. Because we cannot live a dishonest scale or unevenly yolked that I am happy to be a good christian. Amen.
...

I have had a Capitol One platinum credit card for years. In May I received a letter stating that they were raising my interest rate to 17.9 or I could decline this offer and stay at the current rate of 9.9%, however the account would be closed. I called the number on the back of the card and talked with a gentleman in India. They have a very strong accent and talk very fast and I was having a terrible time understanding him. Asked for someone in the USA and then he forwarded the call to the USA. They said that because of the new laws for credit cards, they were raising my interest rate or closing the account. I mentioned to them about the Bailout money that they received from the government, and the lady at Capitol One said that had nothing to do with this matter. I said that it was the taxpayers money that was used to send them their share of the bailout money, therefore, could they help me out in the same manner. She said no and that they were forced to take the money...
...

The Visa Debit card works great!!!!! I enjoy it because i can add as much money as i would like to the card and never worry about having to pay more or less. There is only one downturn everytime you add money to the card they take 10.00 dollars for doing it. If Visa could change that policy it would be better. I can put 1000.00 dollars on the card and i know that there wont be anymore or less on it. I really enjoy the visa debit card and would reconmend it to people that cant get credit. SO i recomend this to everyone come on it's not that hard and the card comes in the mail after just 1 week. And you can add another person to your card if you'd like that as well. Visa is one of the greatest credit cards you can have. It's used all over the world and at many different retailers. I can also say the customer service is really great they had me up in running in no time at all. So if your just starting out in a bussiness this is your card the card of choice always trust Visa

Capital one has been a good credit card. The only thing is they have started charging a yearly fee. This is very upsetting for somebody they pays off there credit card every month. They are supposed to be going to charging a fee for paying it off early. Why does the good people that pay their bills get punished. They have recently increased their interest rate. Why are credit card companies doing that to people that pay on time? Before all these new things took effect capital one has been a great credit card for me and my family.
...

I got my Capital One credit card roughly in July of 2005. I needed to rebuild my credit after a divorce and unfortunately this offer came to me in the mail around that time. I decided that I would try it and see if it would help. First of all, I was unhappy that I get charge a large annual service fee just for having the credit card. Secondly, when I was trying to buy my college books I needed to use some of the money so I decided I would get a cash advance. There is a ten dollar cash advance fee. Not only did I get socked one month of having an annual fee and a cash advance charge but I also was close to my limit and the finance charge and the annual fee and the cash advance charge all took me over my five hundred dollar limit and then I got socked with an over the limit fee. I am quite disappointed with this card and have seriously thought about closing it. I have heard many different things though. If you pay it off then its good for your credit but if you close it then its supposeably...
...

I had very good relations with Capital one until I went over on the credit line. They then started putting unreasonable fee's on the card and now I can not catch up with them. I have repeatly called them to have these fee's removed and I have not had any luck. I suggest not to open an account with any credit card company. They are sharks.
...

I am reviewing the Capitol One VISA card. I was approved for this card when I was 23 years old. The first time I payed the card completly off I used a checking account. They had two different checking account numbers that I had used. When I told the company to use one and not the other they decided they would charge both. So the end result was my boyfriends checking account being overdrafted so much that I could not pay it off and it was closed due to it. The next problem that I had with them was when I became unemployed, due to unforseen circumstances. I had paid a monthly payment to be on a protection program to help pay my monthly bill if that were to happen, and when it came right down to it they only helped with one month and then I started to receive late fees that just got higher and higher. In the beginning my credit limit was only $200.00 and in the end I owed them over $600.00. This resulted in having it sent to a credit bureau and my credit score...
...

THis company was a big pain in the ass to work with not that all credit cards companies aren't. I would get charged for every little thing so finally I just got fed up giving away all this extra money so I decided to cut da card up untill i didn't know what it was. They have some of the top of the line bad service and disresceptfull empolyees. If I could find the customer service rep. that i talk to i would punch him directy in the nose. This unprofessional, uneducated piece of monkey shit started yelling at me when I was the one that got over billed. Instead of making me happy like Mickey D's does everytime I go there even though I can't understand the sound of fuzz coming threw the drive threw they are doing a lot better then this asshole on the phone with me. After about 15 minutes of saying all the cuss words i knew i decided to hang up because I was getting no where yelling at this bamboon. You know what he does he calls me back and keeps cussing at me. After a few times i decided...
...

I have owned the Capitol One no hassles rewards credit card for a long time now and to tell you the truth, I very rarely use the credit card because I'm very into paying cash for everything. I have a debit card for large in store purchases, but basically pay cash for everything because credit card debit can get anyone into big trouble fast that is hard to fix.

On the occasions that I have had to use the credit card (car rental), I always write a check to pay the card off as soon as I get the statement in the mail. But what bothers me is this, every single time I have used the card, and paid in full the balance, I always get a second bill for somewhere around $2.13 or something meinal like that. When I called to ask about the extra fee, they said that intrest was still incurring over the period of time the bill was mailed to me, until they received the payment. I was flabbergasted but paid the extra $2.13. However, the next billing cycle there was something like a .14 bill. Of...
...

My husband had a big debt from the other credit card, but then the capital one saves the interest of it as they are offering one year no interest if you transfer your debt to them. That helps us a lot as it saves us of paying those big interest from the other company so as of now we are maintaining of using capital one. And also they are offering checks for purchase use without interest for a year sure has lots of benefits to be a member of capital one. I don't have capital one card before but then my husband was liking it and then he just call customer service and to if he can add me to his account as i am his wife, for that they just get my name, social security, and b-date then the following week i got my card already quickly. Unlike other company they ask you a lot of information and requirements before you can have your card.
...

I had the chase credit card for about a year and was not to happy with the card. For one thing my interest on the card was crazy. it was 22.98%. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. They told me my credit card had fraud protection but what they didn't tell me is that I would be charged a monthly fee in order to have the service. Another time I rented a car using a credit card and they mistakenly charged me an additional $200 on the card. When I called them to inquire about the charge they refused to help me. The icing on the cake was when I mistakenly hit the cancel line on the credit card and my credit card was immediately cancelled. When I spoke to someone in the customer service department they told me that the credit card was already cancelled and the only way to reinstate the card would be to reapply for a new credit card. I was not to pleased that I had Capital one for a year and they did nothing to help me with the poor service that I continuously received.
...
