I have deactivated my Capital One because I had an unauthorized charge. The cancelled my card and issued a new one and then let the unauthorized charger, charge again. I spent hours and days talking to the "international" support center and when I requested to cancel the card, I was finally transferred to someone in the states who could help me. It is deactivated to this day....

We have used Capital One for several years now and have found it very easy. We use our credit card for EVERYTHING (groceries, gas, shopping) to earn miles. This is not the way for everyone, you have to pay your balance every month not to be it with interest charges!...

ok my card was used in egypt while at the same time i was buying gas to put in my vehicle. 2 months of continuosly calling they removed the charges but not the intrest iam stll argueingthisandhaveproven it with records but the keep saying they cantremove them. then a year later my brother a over the road long distance truck driver gets a card he never asked for fraudulant purcases where made and heisin the middle of sewing capone for chages he never made

I was needing to change my name on the my card. I called 3 times and have yet to get a card with my married name on it. The phillipines is where my call was directed or was it india. Needless to say I will be paying off all the cards that outsourced their customer service as soon as possible.

Capital One has a terrible Customer Service track record. Their agents are rude and unhelpful. Also, expect a lot of false advertising from this company. They've gotten in trouble for it in the past with regulators (FCC, etc) and they continue their practices with no signs of abatting.
Expect a lot of trouble using your card too. Did you change your address recently? You must send them recent utility bills as proof of address. Traveled abroad recently? Expect a freeze on your card indefinitely until you call. The agent will then ask you all kinds of trivial and irrelevant questions. And no you cannot put a travel alert on your card for very long and even if you do, they will put a freeze on your account. Want to access your account online? Expect all kinds of technical issues. Their agents will not be able to help you or it will take you more than 10 calls (average waiting time is around 15 to 25 minutes) before they can finally fix the problem.
This bank is a lot of pain in the a** and......

I did have this card and I took another one from a bank that just offered me 0% for a year. Can't beat that. However, these guys are always offering great incentives....

I have had the worst customer service from this company. Any time I had to call them I was transferred to at least four different people before I could explain the problem. This happened on a consistent basis. I even tried to cancel the card and it took them nine months to cancel the card and clear up fraudulent charges. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CARD!! It is anything but "No Hassle"....

This card is good for people who have decent but less than perfect credit. As long as your credit score is 640 or higher you should be able to get this card. While there is an annual fee, it's not super high. The interest rate is reasonable too. It's easy to rack up the miles, and easy to redeem them. There's not a lot of restrictions on redemption. I've had this card for 6 years now, and have redeemed miles twice without a hitch....

For card known for making it easy to redeem miles or points I am disapointed that Capital One doesn't have as much to offer as some other credit cards. I can get a $10.00 gift certificate from Wells Fargo for just 1000 points or get a $25.00 one for 2500 points. ...
