I can't believe all of the fees that I have had with this company. If I wasn't in debt, I would love to be able to pay this credit card in full, and then cut it up and stick with bank of america.

Every year I get hit with a ridiculous "membership fee". The membership fee is over $50 a year, and they love to tack on the fees if you're even a penny over the limit, or some other petty bullcrap.

Not only that but their interest rates are horrible. I have a bank of america credit card, and for the same amount of money i have out on both cards, i only get charged less than $17 a month for finance charges. Capital one, for the same amount of money lent out, I have to pay at least $25-30 in finance charges, and the amount due per month for capital one is usually $20 more than BoA. Definitely a sign of a ripoff company for sure.

They also have all these options that you can add onto your card, but it really just adds up to more money that you are forced to shell out every single month. That's a...

Capital One is the best credit card I have ever had...and I have had quite a few! I get lower interest rates than any other card I've had. That is the main thing. I usually have good experiences with customer service probably 3 out of 5 times, which is above average. I get email alerts if there is anything out of the ordinary happening. All around a good credit card....

I got this card within 1 year of filing bankruptcy. I actually included Capital One in my bankruptcy ($500) and they still issued me a new account. Having this card significantly helped me improve my credit score by showing proper use of credit. There are many cards out there that will give you cards after a BK, but this one doesn't have any fees. Very nice!

I have had three different cards with this company . they will work with you If you have financial trouble. They are a large company and when I had my cards with them they were always understandingand very friendly. as with any charge card you need to pay your bill in a timely matter. I did fall behind a few times due to medical reasons or loss of income. THEY weere wiling to give me extra time to pay my bill. As long as I paid something or made an effort that's all they asked. Most of my other charge cards I had got very irrate and demanded their money right away and weren't willing to work with you. But with capitol one charge cards you are being serviced with a company that really cares. Their maybe a annual fee and interest but all cards have them. aslong as you pay the minimum payment then you can avoid the interest rate. plus if you pay on time you can avoid the late fee. But I never had any trouble with them billing me for anything I never bought. If there was then I notified...

I have been a Capital One cardholder for a few years now. I am someone who is not very good at sticking with a budget, has a very low income (inspite of having three jobs between my husband and I) and my credit card is rarely paid off. Many times I've had to use my card for necessities like gas to get to work or medicine for a sick child, because there just wasn't any cash available. I've been late and over the limit more than once.

I've certainly given Capital One plenty of reasons to not want to work with me, but when I really needed their help they were there. Twice I have been unable to pay on my account for a few months, once due to decreased work income because of an injury and once when my husband lost his job and was out of work for a few months. Both times Capital One worked with me to lower my payments and make them more manageable, or to delay them altogether. I like my Capital One Mastercard because Capital One works with people who don't have perfect credit and they reward on time payments. When you pay the minimum payment, or more, on time for 3 months, they increase your credit limit by $500. So far, I've had my limit increased twice. This credit card has been a lifesaver for me after going through a Bankruptsy, they are helping me rebuild my credit....
