I was looking for a point and shoot camera that was small enough to take with me when I went out, everyone I spoke to recommended the power shot series. I decided to go with the600 and I'm glad I did! Initial impressions of the camera were good, it was a beautiful little thing that would fit in a pocket without any problems - not that you would want to let this little camera roam free around your pocket without protection. On the back the first thing you notice is the large 2.5" LCD screen which even copes well in bright light. My only complaint with the optical view finder is its very small and hard to use effectively, if this doesn't bother you and you're more than happy to use the LCD most of the time then it can't be faulted in this respect. The only other complaint I have with this camera is the lack of customisable options - it has the standard colour profiles, exposure time etc but for more advanced options you either have to dig or there not there but then again it is sold as a...
...

pic100 says "Wonderful price quality ratio. A no brainer pocket size camera" about Canon - power shot 600

Cost conscious digital camera for everyday use and every occasion. Excellent definition and speed for a compact camera. Nice complement to more sophisticated SLR digital camera that is more bulky. So easy to use that 5-years old can take pictures. Love the small battery pack and the SD-Card. Next geenration in the SD series are definitely a must. Better definition and still extremely pocket friendly!...

Scuba024 says "Canon Power shot SD900-The Best Camera on the face of the earth" about Canon - power shot 600

This Canon digital camera is by far the best camera that I have seen out there. The camera has 10 pixels which is very high quality. My husband and I took this camera to Italy for out first trip to Rome and we were easily able to take 400 photos. When we came back they produced high quality photos. I definately recomend this camera to any user as it is very easy to use and it will save your photos for a long time if you choose to do this....

megnok says "I love this camera" about Canon - power shot 600

The Cannon Power Shot 600 is a great small digital camera.
Has auto setting and for a more advanced user it also has manual settings.
I use my powershot to take over 200 pictures a week. I photograph adoptable animals at the animal shelter and post them on line for people to adopt. It works great for this kind of photo as the animals do not like a flash in their face & the flash is easy to turn off & still get clear pictures.

This camera may not be available in this model number but any one in this line will probably be just as great. I would update my current camera with one of the new Cannon Power Shot digital elphs if this one were to become damaged or lost.

Easy to us.
Fits in my pocket.
It's fast and does great in low light.
It has a large lcd monitor on back.
It has a close up, zoom & movie with sound setting.
Usues a rechargable Lithium ion battery pack. My camera came with a charger & I purchased a additional battery for back up. This set up has worked great for me.
It has many other......
