This product is WONDERFUL! The color print comes out very well, it's fast AND easy to use! For me, that's a definite plus because I am "electronically-challenged"! I WOULD recommend this product to friends!...

We have had ours for about a year. It is very easy to learn to operate. We got ours on sale which made it also very nice but even if it wasn't we love canon products. The only thing we have a problem with is the cost of the color. It also makes very clear pictures....

The printer is fast and extremely quiet. It produces deep images that rival any I've had done at a lab. One of the main reasons I bought this printer is its ability to print up to 13x19" - and it does so beautifully....

This is my first Canon printer. I have always had (and liked) the Epsom printer line. I bought this because it was bundled with my computer system.

It works good, just make sure to buy OEM ink if you're going to print pictures.

Big Prints, Small Footprint
The i9900 is a curvy, attractive printer styled in smoky gray tones (see Figure 1). Although it supports paper up to 13 inches wide, the printer itself is fairly small when compared to other 13-x-19-inch printers. At 23 x 14 x 7 inches, the i9900 fits easily on even a fairly shallow shelf. Paper loads from the top, so you don't need a lot of space behind the printer. Setup is very simple and you should be able to have the printer installed and printing in less than 10 minutes....

I currently have my 2nd Canon photo copier. I have found from my past and present experience in printing my own photos and making my own cards and calendars that Canon is reliable and prints beautiful photos. I bought the 2nd Canon printer because I had great sucess with the first printer. My new Canon has speical ink just for photos and I find it to be perfect for the printing I do. The photos are clear, they don't fade over time and I have found the printer to be durable and produces quality photos.

Canon has a big idea. So big it fits onto 13" x 19" paper. It's called the Canon i9900 InkJet Photo Printer and it's one of Canon's dedicated photo printers. As a photographer who's a step above mere hobbyist and a step below being a pro, plus a gadget geek, I decided I must own one.

That, plus my Epson Stylus Photo 820 was starting to blow chunks.

Why I Chose the Canon i9900 InkJet Photo Printer
I did much research before buying this printer. I had to decide between Canon's i9900 and the Epson 2200, both large format printers. Each printer produces borderless prints from 4" x 6" up to 13" wide, although Epson will allow you to use a roll feeder so your print can be up to 13" wide x 44" long. Canon claims a resolution of 4800x2400 dpi, Epson claims a resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi. Canon uses an 8 color system, Epson uses a 7 color system with an interchangeable photo/matte black ink cartridge.
