I have had the Canon PowerShot SD800 for 2 years now and I love it. It is small and fits nicely in my purse. I take it everywhere I go. It downloads nicely to my computer and I get good pictures. I can send my pictures to friends and family. I can also print my pictures or save on CD.

My husband surprised me with a new camera. I had been using a larger model, thinking that bigger was better. I was so wrong! I love using my Canon PowerShot SD960 IS digital ELPH! It is small enough to fit in my purse and is very user friendly. It has a 2.5" screen, so it makes viewing your pictures easy.

Another important feature is that it doen't pull certain colors. Some cameras will pull red or blue (certain colors can be hard to photograph and appears distorted on paper). This Canon displays colors in their true shades. This is an extremely important feature to me. I use this camera for my job.

It also comes in an array of colors....even pink!

Canon SD960 has a high number of mega pixels 12.1! That is a lot for such a small camera! Having a high number of mega-pixels is great for cropping and enlarging pictures. Even if you don't zoom in tight enough for a picture you can always crop it and still get a great shot!

This is defineatley worth looking into!...

This SD 870 is really great to carry and use. It lacks some things the Pro's would want but is perfect for home and vaction use. The pictures it produces are extremely good and the software that comes with the camera is easy to use. My only complaint about the camera, and the only reason I don't rate it five star is the very slow refresh time.

I got this camera (Canon SD800 IS) on sale for just about $200 a year ago. It was the best point-and-shoot camera I've ever own. This camera takes pictures just as good as my $1500 DSLR Canon. About the only complain I have is the limited zoom (3x). But other than that, this camera has exceed all my expectations. The pictures come out clear and crisp. Even the LCD images look nice. It takes great pictures whether it's indoor or outdoor. The flash is adaquate for almost all occasions (except maybe when you're like 30 feet away with little or no light). This camera focuses fairly quick. I like the green focus square as well. It's light yet has a solid build feeling to it. The battery last a long time and can be charged in less than 2 hours (when empty). Red-eyed reduction works great. The many shoot-modes work as designed. I took many great pictures of my daughter's basketball games. Sometime, it even took better pictures than my $1500 DSLR. Honestly, I...

Canon has very good reputation in producing some of the best cameras, and this is an inclusion in that list.

i have this camera for the last 6 months, and i am glad i have it.

it works so well that i keep this camera with me all the time.

it has excellent clarity result as compared to same category other brand cameras.

it shots at the same time of pressing button, so no waiting gap..and that feature impresses me more.

other features are good to have.

I upgraded to this camera a few years ago after having to put up with a Nikon Coolpix for a long time that just wasn't up to snuff. The Canon PowerShot SD800 IS, however, is a wonderful change. This camera has taught me to love photography. Being a complete amateur when it comes to taking pictures, this camera makes it extremely easy. The settings and features are easy to use, the zoom is great (and maintains the quality of the picture while giving it a watercolor kind of look to it if you choose to zoom all the way out to 15x), and the auto focus does extremely well. What I love is that you can choose not to have flash on the auto setting, and it's easy to toggle between your stored pictures. The extra settings (such as aquarium and kids & pets setting with a higher shutter speed) are awesome, and this has a much longer battery life than my Coolpix did. All in all, a great compromise for those who want a fancier, more professional kind of camera but can't quite afford one...

I bought my Canon SD800 iS at Staples for a trip to Texas that I took with my family. Before buying this camera I solely relied on disposables for all my pictures because I have no idea how to use film. I thought digital photography sounded like a dream come true.

Now I really wish I had gotten a digital camera sooner. For my first son I took him to the photo places and got pictures done with some regularity but I never had very many at home pictures of things that he did. When I got this camera he was about 18 months old and we were planning a vacation to southern Texas to visit his great grandparents. Never having visited Texas before I definitely wanted to have a nice camera to capture every moment.

I chose the Canon SD800 IS because it was very reasonably priced. It was the last one they had in stock so I got it for a little more than $100. I knew Canon was a good brand in cameras and I liked the large screen as well as the ease of use. It has many options that I still haven't discovered...

I have had other digital camera's in the past, however, this is by far my best. I liked it so much that I continue to upgrade with every new model that comes out. Screen is big, it is lightwieght, and the quality of the pictures are amazing! It offers so many different features, it is so much fun to play aorund with. High recommended!

The Canon SD800 has a great lens and produced great images, all in an attractive, pocketable, metal body. The 7-megapixel camera's tiny body is shiny, curvy, and very attractive. But it may be just a bit too stylish for its own good. For instance, the power button is a tiny, illuminated half-oval built flush into the top panel; without actually pressing it, you might easily mistake it for an indicator light or a design flaw.

The SD800 also uses the recent Digic III image processor, which Canon claims improves image quality, performance, and battery life.
Beyond those quirks, though, the SD800 IS is a standard, straightforwardly designed Canon shooter, with a four-way navigation switch, additional buttons, and the shutter-release/zoom-rocker mechanism we've grown used to. The small, all-metal body weighs slightly more than six ounces, and at an inch thick, is just the right size for most pockets. the camera was easy to use. i didn't need to look up in the instruction book since i was able to figure our everything on my own. has good feautres and zoomed in well....

This Canon - Powershot SD800 IS / IXUS 850 IS Digital Camera is awesome! It has many advantages like easy to follow instructions, easy to use and alter functions, great picture qualities, Beautiful pictures in all kinds weather, has a great zoom. not blury.., small, deisgned to be portable, small and fits every place that you go to and put. the video is awesome, ,wide angle lens for better photos....

This has really been the best camera I have ever owned. All I do is point and shoot and the results are always awesome. I am not really into technology I like the quick and easy things and this camera basically does all the magic on its own!!! My pictures turn out great time after time after time. And the memory on it is great I have been using it for awhile now and I still have lots of room for more to put on there....

This camera is everything I thought it would be. I have quickly snapped pictures with it and they ended up being published in the newspaper. Its easy to use, pictures are clear and look great when reprinting or enlarging. Its small enough to fit in my back pocket. I carry it in my fanny pack every day. I love this camera!...
