The Canon Powershot SD600 is a great everyday camera which you can take anywhere. I use it to take photos of my crafts, home projects, and travel shots. It's lightweight, portable, easy to use the basic functions. I can take closeups using the micro settings. It's easy to turn the flash on and off. It's easy to download onto my Mac...I use iPhoto to manage my photos. It's a little more difficult to remember the other features that you use less and therefore don't internalize. BUT the capabilities are there...stitching, timer, color picking. You can zoom in and out easily, but only up to a certain range. It'll fit into your purse, backpack, or pocket. Battery is rechargable. Cards can hold all your photos from a one-week trip. I've taken this camera everywhere and it's always been reliable, durable, and easy to use. Alterning, resizing, and printing photos from this camera has always produced great photographs in great clarity.

I was given this camera for Christmas about two years ago and I absolutely love it!!! I have not had one single problem with it at all. It takes great pictures that are very good quality. It is small in size and easy to take everywhere I go. The battery life lasts a long time, it is easy to keep charged and has an easy charging system. You just have to place the battery into a charging unit and plug it into an outlet. It is a simple camera that does not have anything too complicated to be able to figure out how to just take a good quality picture. There are features available to be able to do different things but I basically just use the feature to changes the flash options depending on the picure setting. This camera also has a video option. It also takes good quality video. The sound doesn't seem to record as well but it is good quality video. I woudl recommend this camera for someone that just wants to be able to take pictures without all of the fancy options. ...

I got the black one a couple days ago. Perfect size for my hands and really love the sleek design. There are a lot of cool features. I can zoom in and out during video recordings which i love because most cameras can't do that. Night shots are great on this camera too. There's an ISO 3200!
My previous canon, SD1000,was a really good camera, but this one just blows it completely out of the way. ...

This is by far the best digital camera that I have ever owned. I do wish, however, that it would take better night shots. Any suggestions?

I received the Canon sd600 about 2 years ago as a chrismas gift. The camera has a slick design in silver and black. The 3 inch lcd was great. It has been a great improvement over the smaller lcd that did not allow you to view the picture details as well. For the first year the pictures would come out perfect. The colors would look amazing and the clarity was really nice. The camera gives you the option to change the setting according to where the picture is being taken. This feature is really nice. After a year of using the camera I realized that some of the pictures where coming out blurry. Since I had purchased insurance at the retail store I decided to send it in for repair. After a 2 months wait I was told the camera had been repaired but after trying it out and taking several pictures I realized that they had not corrected the problem. This was really disappointing since it was pretty expensive for such a short period of great performance.

Being a mother of 2 small children, I'm never without my camera. After owning several early, and well, primative models, this past year I was determined to get a good one. I wanted one with a large viewing screen and one that had a function to take pictures in a fast succesion. The Canon Powershot SD 600 has both of those features and more! I love how big the screen is and that it also has video functions. That was another one of my requirements. The best part is the rechargeable battery! I was skeptical at first, but it really does work much better than disposable batteries. Even rechargeable disposable ones. It has a digital zoom that can get me so close to far away objects and the pictures are always crisp and clear. The zoom switch took me a while to get used to, as I've never owned a Canon before. But that's pretty much my only negative. I also love being able to turn my pics black and white while still in the camera. Overall, I really love my camera, and when it's time to upgrade...

I just love my Canon PowerShot SD600. I am somewhat electronically challenged and this camera suits me to a "T". It is so simple to operate, has a nice zoom, photos can be reviewed instantly, and I can take as many as I want to get the perfect photo. The card in it is so easy to remove and pop right into my computer to download the photos. Charging the battery is a breeze and the charger is small enough that it's no problem to take along wherever I go.

All in all, I couldn't be happier with any other camera. With my limited ability to use electronics and the simplicity of using my Canon, it's the best gift I could ever get.

This camera is very clear with flash, but without flash it does not seem clear as I want it to be though....

the canon powershot SD600 is a great camera
if you know how to take pictures
it'll take them for it
it comes with a lot of good stuff
i totally recommand it to others
it's a pretty small camera it can easily fit in a pocket or purse
i carry mine aroun in a coin purse thats how small it is
there is one con and that is that the screen gets scratched easily
there is no protection for it...

The Canon PowerShot SD600 is perfect for me! I keep it with me all the time. My high-school senior is always asking me to take her picture with her friends. It's always there for her sports events.

We had had an earlier PowerShot camera, but it stopped holding a charge, no matter what we did. That camera had a higher zoom power than is available on a PowerShot now, and it took fantastic pictures.

Bought this camera in December of 2007, and it worked great until it broke last week - 21 months and done. Screen no longer works yet I can still snap pictures - pretty useless. High marks for simplicity and quallity of pictures, but low marks for quality....

I love technology. Digital cameras are one of the things I collect. Of the many I have and have given as gifts, yhe Cannon Sd 600 is one of my favorites. It is small ennough to hide in your pocket, for those times when you want to surprise others with photos. Small enough to carry on trips, gives great photos and not that expensive....

Great camera, however the picture screen gets easily fingerprinted, I would advice not to take it off when you buy it. Also this camera is great because the lens closes and it can't get scratched....
