This is my first digital camera. I bought it to replace my old Cannon zoom cqmera from day onehaveloved this camera. I get wonderful close ups and great zoom photoes. I not only take pictures of my family but of my cat and anything else that looks interesting,waves on the beach, especially the big splashy ones and lots of clouds in all types of weather. One of my favorite pictures is one of big fluffy clouds in a blue, blue sky, I got a wonderful closeup of them and I enlarged them, framed them and they are haning in my bedroom where I can enjoy them. Some day I am going to do a painting of them I love to scrapbook and make cards so picture taking is a big part of my life. My grandchildren are constantly saying "Grandma!". And my cat, well he's a big ham and loves to have his picture taken. He even poses for me. I have one of him in a red and green stocking cap and it looks like he's singing.He graced the front of my Christmas cards on Jingle Bells sheet music with holly and pine......

Canon - PowerShot A530 Digital Camera is easy to use and takes quality pictures. Not overly pricey, and switches easily between viewing and picture taking capablities. Not overly bulky, or heavy.

The Cannon PowerShot A530 is a preety good camera. It is easy to use. I wish it had a more powerful optical zoom. Some of the pictures look so far away.

The night shot feature is terrible. Everytime I use it it looks like I moved. Pictures are blurry.

I like that it has one touch to transfer pictures to you computer. And to erase a picture it is super simple.

Over all I like my camera, just wish that it had a better zoom.

My Canon A530 digital camera is the most dependable fantastic picture taking instrument that I am thoroughly attached to. It goes with me on cruises and captures moments that brings back memories. I have had this for over 3-4 years and one year I misplaced it and was going on another cruise. I bought another digital camera that went with us. Could not see the screen in daylight so could not focus on what I wanted a picture of. It was okay inside but the battery life was not good either. Needless to say I celebrated the day I discovered my Canon was not lost. It has taken some great shots of my great grandchildren as well. If I ever need to replace this camera, it will be made by Canon.

Canon A30 Digital camera is one of my greatest investments. I did not spend a lot of money and I am the happiest girl of the planet with this camera, It has fallen, toddler gets it to take pictures, its in my bag always, its handy and it always works, batteries last a lot of time, pictures are pretty, videos had a lot of quality and I dont know why I didnt buy it before! Its so easy to use, and the options are great, the quality and the computer compatibility makes me happier to have choosen this item. My kids grandparents are really happy to receive pictures from their grandsons peridically and its so easy to do it. My best gift for mothers day was this camera and I apreciate every memory Im keeping from my babies. This moments are a blessing and this camera helps me with them. Im sure that if something happends to this camera, I will buy another one exaxtly as this one. The qualityis so great I can see the pores in the faces when I zoom!! That is excelent quality, NO? And I dont use...

We have had this camera for about 3 years and have gotten lots of great use out of it and am so glad that we have it. I will continue to use it until it dies or until we have the money to buy a newer more advanced camera.

As we all know technology changes so quickly and advances so quickly that what we paid $200 for 3 years ago is now old/obsolete.

This camera is very easy to use. Just point and shoot.

My biggest complaint is that sometimes when you push the button to take the picture the camera is so slow that buy the time it takes the picture you may have missed that great smile or action event that you wanted to capture. Other peoples cameras are much faster and seem to capture the moment.

Another feature that I absolutely love is the ability to take video of 3 minutes. My 15 month old son often does things that I want to get on film and this keeps me from having to pull out a bulky camcorder as that would take a while and then chances are I would miss whatever he was doing. ...

My sister bought me this camera to use for the first time. I never had a digital, but My neice had the same camera and showed me how to use it. If a nine year old can use it, so can you. It is fairly small and comes with computer accessories to download pictures. That is all I do. I take pictures, download them and send them to others or put them on my own computer to view. I bought a bigger card since the one it comes with doesn't fit many. It only uses 2 AA batteries which to me is easier than buying lithium batteries. Not as tiny as the 2009 cameras, but good enough for me to put in my handbag. Great camera for a fairly decent price. Great gift for a family member....

I read so many reviews on this camera before buying it and was very disappointed after buying it. The pictures aren't that great and it eats batteries like crazy - even the rechargables. The time between shots is way too long and the flash doesn't work for night time distance shots. STILL looking for a great digital! Its not very user friendly either. My last camera I just picked up and started using it right away - you actually need to read the manual for this one....

the canon powershot A530 is a great point-and-shoot digital camera, perfect for someone with moderate to no digital camera experience. start-up is very fast as is the processing, allowing for repeated shots to be taken seconds after taking it out of your pocket or purse (either of which it should fit into without much trouble). the resolution is quite high; shots can easily be blown up to 8x11 without a loss in quality. there isn't a whole lot of optical zoom, but this is the norm for this type camera, and its more than enough for your typical user. the different shooting modes are great as well, instantly adjusting and compensating for different lighting conditions and/or types of situations (sporting events, landscapes, etc). my only gripe is trying to shoot through different types of light or in low light situations, which usually doesn't go well, and its a little difficult to adjust settings manually for these situations, but there aren't many cameras at this price point that can do......

The Cannon Powershot A530 takes beautiful photos. It is easy to use, easy to move pictures from the camera to computer, and the software takes the guess work out of how to get it where it needs to go. Even my mother was able to use it successfully which says a lot about how easy it is to use, but it still has those extra features for the more experienced user. You can set it on auto and take your shot with ease, or you can set it any way you like. It is small enough to easily carry with you, but large enough for those people who have larger hands to be able to work it....

This camera is a powerhouse. This is a great camera for the price. I have always enjoyed photography, but I would still call it a hobby and myself an amature. For a fairly cheap digital camera this is great. The pictures are amazing and there are so many features. For the novice it has all the general categories, i.e. action, indoor, fireworks, etc. But for those a little more advanced it is great too. You can adjust the aperature and shutter speeds, use filters, and it is compatible with extra lenses and flashes. This has been a great camera for me. I really enjoy it and I am now a canon user for life now! The only con I can think of is the memory, but if you get yourself a good card you will be set!...
