I have been using the Canon EOS 5d for a while and am very happy with it's quality. With the interchangeably of the lens, you can go as simple or extravagantly as you like. It shoots in JPeg or Raw formats, so you have the ability to print as large a print as you like. Add a tri pod and you can turn off the flash and use the dramatic existing light. It has pre set settings for portrait, speed, landscape, and macro shots. You can also do a total manual adjustment shot with no problem! It uses the CMOS technology for a much better quality camera.

All and all, it is a great camera!
...

I upgraded from a Canon 20D to the 5D and have not looked back. As a budding professional photographer, it was the best move I ever made. I can work at a higher ISO, which is essential for photographing weddings.
...

The Canon EOS 5D offers advanced photographers a lightweight, robust digital SLR that uses Canon's superlative EF lenses without a conversion factor. Its full-frame 12.8 Megapixel CMOS sensor combines with Canon's DIGIC II Image Processor, a high-precision 9-point AF system with 6 assist points, and "Picture Style" color control to deliver images of superior quality with enough resolution for any application. With its wide-angle capabilities, 2.5 inch LCD and magnesium-alloy body, the 5D is the perfect addition to the Digital EOS line.
...

The Canon 5d Camera is a great camera for professional photographers. This camera would be perfect for professional portrait photographers and event photographers. It features a full frame sensor (35mm) which is perfect for the many wide angle lenses available for the camera. It also features 12.8 megapixels. It also feels a little clunky but very sturdy. There is no on camera flash which is preferred by most professional photographers. Another great point is that the ISO range is between 50 and 3200. The Canon 5d only features 3 frames per second for continuous speed which is not appropriate for sports shooters. I believe it to have the best price for performance for when it was first introduced. The design of the camera in my hands feels great. It feels like the body of the camera was made specifically for my hands. The Canon 5d has no proper weather sealing, no protection from rain or snow. You shouldn't take this camera out in the rain or heavy snow which can make it difficult for a...
...

endeliz says "the best camera yet " about Canon - EOS 5D Digital Camera

Canon's X0D series was, for many years, essentially the default choice for keen enthusiasts, professionals and aspiring-professionals who wanted top-level image quality and functionality without the bulk (or price) of a pro-level camera such as the 1D series. The 10D, 20D and 30D were hugely successful an popular cameras and you didn't have to spend long shooting with them to understand why. However, like every other sector of the DSLR market, there are some very competitive rivals, in terms of both price and features. Cameras such as Sony's A700 and Nikon's D200 and 300 have meant the most recent X0D EOSs have been held to higher standards and have found it a little harder to stand-out.

Which brings us to the 7D, a camera that seems determined to wrestle back the king of APS-C crown. At first glance it looks a lot like the EOS 50D - it's unmistakably a member of the EOS family - but a closer look shows that this is far from being the gentle refresh that we're used to seeing in this range....
...

Leycide says "One heck of a good camera for beginner photographers!" about Canon - EOS 5D Digital Camera

This is my first review I have ever done. I must say.. this Canon 5D camera is probably one of the best Canon brand camera's out there. I really enjoy using this camera for my photography. The megapixels are FANTASTIC! I have made a poster of my family because of the nice megapixels on this camera. It's really bulky but after awhile, you get use to the weight and the size of the camera. What is also cool about the camera is that you can also use Nikon lenses on the Canon 5D. It's shutterspeed and high iso speeds is what really caught my attention to the camera. It is one of a kind and I love it. If you're an amateur photographer and looking for a good camera, Canon 5D is definitely the way to go. It's what got me started in photography and now it's something I LOVE doing and have taken it on to a professional level. I still use this camera to this day and I will never forget its start and impact on my life.
...

I'm a professional photographer who has been shooting with a Canon 5D for 2 1/2 years. I can't live without this camera. It works so well in the dark and does not have much digital noise when shooting in low light. Its seen me through several wedding shoots and daily assignments at my newspaper. If you're thinking of buying one you might want to hold off a few more weeks because the next generation 5D Mark II is coming out.
...

The camera quality is pretty good. The image is clear, and the scope is very wide. But it is kind of heavy when I carry both 5D and the external flash, especailly when I need carry to heavy tripode. Also I didn't get my rebate, which is so sad. overall, it is good....
