I had been wanting to upgrade from a point and shoot camera, but was worried about spending the money to get a camera I wouldn't be able to use. I have LOVED this camera. I feel like it is the perfect solution to my concerns. I can easily run the camera in automatic modes, and usually get great pictures. But now I have the luxury of changing out lenses and using the manual modes to really experiment! I can get some really amazing pictures in manual! I am not a professional photographer, and don't really want to be, but I have loved being able to get more professional looking pictures of my family. It is nice to be able to blow a picture up to 8x10 or 11x14 wtihout having to worry about a change in quality. If you are nervous about moving up to an SLR...this is the perfect camera for you! It makes it easy, and the quality is amazing. I have found Canon cameras to have excellent color quality in general. Love it!

i love my camera. My husband bought it for me as a gift and it is awesome. The pictures are clearer than any I have ever seen before. There is no delay. the only thing I don;t like is that you can't look at the lcd screen when taking your pictures.

I recently purchased the Cannon digital SLR camera. It is probably the best purchase that I have ever made. I have actually printed a 20 x 30 poster off of one of the pictures that I took and it came out as clear as the 4 x 6 print. It didn't pixelate. It has many great features...I find new ones everyday. I am very happy with the camera. It is durable and not too heavy. There are many additional lenses that you can purchase to use with it. I personally find the one that comes with it of great quality. I sometimes use the other lenses but mainly the one that came with it. The pictures always come out as good quality. You do not have to worry about pixelation or being out of focus. It is very easy to use and a great price at most stores for a digital SLR camera. It is a great product altogether. It would be nicer if the lens cap had a string on it so that it would be easier to keep track of. It is great for action or still photos. I use it everyday....

The Canon EOS Rebel XTI is a great camera for the money. It comes with the 18-55 lens but has several options available. I have a macro lens along with a 300 zoom lens. Using the Canon can be wonderfully easy or you can tailor it with settings that are a breeze to comprehend. The fully automatic setting works great for most pictures. The motion setting is fantastic for stop action photography such as sports. While the flash is not the best, it is sufficient for most purposes. There is a hot shoe for attaching a flash that does not take thirty seconds to recharge and actually brightens the subject. The LCD screen is easy to see and the menu buttons are not hard to navigate at all. You can easily display how many pictures are left, or what the current settings are. The Canon is a tough and versatile little camera that is a good buy for either the professional or the weekend shooter.

The Cannon Rebel SLR had been a wonderful camera and easy to use, it was my first SLR The image quality is very good, but it does shoot a little under exposed . The camera is light weight and the lens that come with the bundle pack are wonderful. I do recomed a tri-pod for those pictures that show shake when trying to hand hold your camera . I do wish it came with a macro lens tho. I miss having a lens string because I'm always putting them down and miss placing them. I do wish the ISO was a litlle higer it only goes to 1600 but 3200 would be nicer, The automatic modes work great when you just can't decide what manual mode you want to use. I love the LCD screen but in bright light it is hard to see . I have to find a shawdowed area to veiw the pictures. I love the automatic flash its there when I need it even when I forget I might need one. The 18- 55 lens isn't used very much it's just not sufficient, but I do use the telephoto lens quit frequently. itsgreat.

I received this camera as a gift from my husband. I was shocked and soooo excited. I like to use my camera for various reasons. I am an avid scrapbooker and love my pictures to take center stage. I have a son who is into multiple sports and as a mom I can't get enough pictures of him. I used to take my kids in for photos at the stores or photography places, but now I am fully capable with a camera like this to not have this added expense and headaches getting him ready, etc. I combine this with adobe photoshop, and good photo paper: and I couldn't ask for more. Normally when I make a purchase I just buy something with the exact features I believe I need to save money. My husband on te other hand likes to buy the best. In this case, he did and I am extremely happy that he did. I am so excited to learn the added features and this camera with the extra photo lens will last me a long time.

We have owned 35mm film cameras for many years. We love taking pictures. It would be common for us to take at least 1500 pictures on a vacation. The problem is, we couldn't preview the pictures and would take several of the same things or of the same peoples pose just in case someone was blinking etc. I, the main picture taker, went screaming and kicking to look at digital cameras. I felt disloyal to my 35mm that I loved. I was talked into trying the Canon eosd 400 rebel. I have to say, it was nice to know that I could just click away knowing that I was not wasting film. In testing the camera, I took pictures of everything. It was so nice to be able to look at the photo I had just taken. I discovered that I was able to get even more creative with my picture taking since I could see the photo at that moment. The true test came when we took it on our vacation. I have to say, it passed the test with flying colors. I am a believer!!

This is a great camera! The best thing about this camera is that you don't have to be a professional to use it and you can still get great pictures! Easy to use and pictures turn out so clear and great. I love this camera.

I wanted one of these forever. I searched online and saw the photo's of this camera. The best feature is that, even on auto, it takes great pictures. nothing is blurry or out of focus. I know very little about photography and can still use this and get great photo's. The camera itself is a bit big, but you adapt to that. I do notice, that you must get an external flash for it, otherwise inside pictures don't come out as clear as outside ones do. The best feature is as your skills grow, you can buy tons of different lenses for this. The kit lens is a beginner lens and it's a nice one. You can grow with it. The settings are nice, many are auto settings but their are also many where you have to set the ISO, white balance and aperture for the photo you want to take. Since I don't know anything about that yet I keep it on the auto settings. It features a large SD card holder, I have a card that holds 400 photo's, which is plenty for me. I really love my Canon Rebel Xti. This is a great starting camera for anyone who would like to start a profession in photography or just people who take a lot of pictures! The color quality is amazing and the menu is very easy to use. I think a couple things that I didn't like about this camera is the starting lens isn't the greatest at all. It doesn't zoom very far and you can't get THAT close to your object. It would be nice to start with a telephoto or macro lens, or even something with a little more range. Another quality that may turn beginners off is the lack of the Live View on their LCD screen. Most people who are moving from a point and shoot to an SLR would find this to be a disadvantage. Other than that I really like my continuous shooting mode and may upgrade to a camera body with a faster shooting speed with a higher ISO setting someday. I love the way my Rebel captures light as well! Beautiful photo oportunities!

This is an SLR camera that works great. Tons of features and while it is expensive this is one camera that won't need replacing in your lifetime....

My Canon Rebel XTI camera does not let me miss a shot. It is ready to take the picture once you turn it on, there is no delay or warm up time. With 3 kids 6yrs and younger, they are very active and this camera has not let me down with any blurry or missed shots. Simply put, if you want great pictures with ease of use this is the one and only camera you will need, now and later.

The Canon Rebel xti is an awesome DSLR Camera. It comes with software, starter lens, battery and an extensive User's Manual. I found the quick start guide very helpful and a great way to get started. The only thing I wish the kit included is a camera case.

I find it helpful that this is compatible with pictbridge and my Canon Pixma printer. I think this is agreat digital camera for the money, just npot very small to take to a soccer game or to pop in your purse for impulse photos.

I found it helpful when going into the manual modes to get a book from the library. It was very helpful. It is very descriptive on what each function does and which functions to use in the best lights.

This camera takes wonderful pictures. I actually take my daughter's photos now instead of going to a professional studio and paying outrageous prices. I also print my own photos at home, which ensures that I get the best quality and color.

I got this camera when it first came out and it was love at first snap! The quality of the pictures is only limited by the quality of the glass you put on the camera. I use it on a daily basis, both for catching the kids doing something silly or sweet, shooting flowers and insects, and I use it for portraits. I have had many people ask me who took the photos of my kids and when I tell them that I did they are floored! I credit it all to my camera. It takes some work to learn photography but once you get some practice this camera has everything an amature could need. It would be a waste to buy this camera and not shoot in manual!!
