Canon CanoScan CS4400F Flatbed Scanner is a very good product. Well, that should not be a surprise because Canon makes great things. I love the way it works once it is hooked up to your computer. It takes a little while to get the hang of it if you're not computer knowledgeable. I use a computer all the time but fancy and new things often take me more time then others. The design of this is tres chic and in my opinion somewhat unique. It's not big and bulky like some scanners can be and it doesn't take up a lot of needed space when you use it.
I really like the way that it scans photos, making them almost look life-like. It is easy to move if you have to and easy to carry too. It's not heavy like some scanners can be. I also like the fact that the price is fairly low when you compare it to others that can do the same thing. The book of instructions that comes with the scanner makes learning how to use it a breeze, even if you’re not computer literate. Cannon products...
...

I love the Canon 4400f scanner. I've been using it for a few months and find the quality very good. I don't use many of the features on the scanner, such as scanning negatives, but for the simple uses I have I find it easy and effective. I like the fact that I can scan a multiple page document and have it stored on my hard disk as one document. On my previous scanner, a three page document would be saved as three separate files. The only negative comment I have would be the time it takes for the first page to scan. A message comes up on my computer screen telling me not to open the lid because the lamp is being adjusted. Nothing seems to be happening, so I guess its just a silent process --- not even the light comes on during this time. The additional pages scan more quickly. Overall I am quite satisfied with this unit....

mdesign704 says "Recommended by a Graphic Design Professional" about Canon CanoScan CS4400F Flatbed Scanner

As a graphic design professional, I depend on my scanner to give me outstanding resolution, dependable performance and speed. This scanner does it all at an incredible price. Both the scanner and the software was incredibly easy to use right out of the box.

I did my research on professional photography, design & PC sites and this was one of the top three -- and the least expensive (by far) of the bunch. The reviews were right on (accuracy, speed, easy to use & dependable).

The quick-button panel on the front means I can scan on the fly and keep my work flow going smoothly. The accompanying software allows me to make scanning color/resolution adjustments on the fly and import a perfectly scanned document into Photoshop.

I've recommended this scanner to many others and they are all very happy with it.

...

This scanner is fabulous! For a mere $100 you can get a scanner that has several features common to higher end scanners. High quality, hinged lid, and low price all lead me to say that this is the best computer buy I've had in a long time! I will never buy another "all-in-one" printer as once one feature stops working you're up a creek.
...
