I thought the food and driinks here were average. I would go back but would not suggest it to anyone. The location is fine if you live in a western suburb and they have a lot of free parking. It is easy to find. There is a lot of variety on the menu but I wasn't overly impressed with anything anyone ordered at the table. It was good, just not memorable....

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It's great for family celebrations, date night or just a quiet out of the way place to gossip with a friend. Some nights, mostly weekends, they feature local musical artists. It's a really fun and friendly place, but also great for a romantic dinner, if that's what you're looking for....

We discovered Cafe Magdalena when we went to Elgin to attend a Symphony concert at the Hemmens Auditorium which is only one block away. The restaurant has exceptional appetizers and salads at very low prices as well as interesting daily specials that are prepared with fresh ingredients and surpass much of the competition for Italian cuisine in the area. We love this restaurant and often recommend it to friends.
