I generally use inexpensive shampoo, like Dove or Aussie, but last week the Burt's Bees section at Wal-Mart caught my eye. I found myself looking at the Very Volumizing Pomegranate and Soy shampoo. The price seemed steep to me ($8 for a 12 oz. bottle), but I've been wanting to find a shampoo that might treat my hair better. I decided to splurge on myself and bought it. I really wish I could have seen the other reviews here first. The first time I used the shampoo I was surprised at how thin it was. But the real shocker came when I put it on my hair. It wouldn't suds up. Not at all. I kept putting more and more shampoo on so that I could wash all of my fine, medium length hair. It seemed like glue in my hair. After washing it out I noted that my hair seemed waxy, and I had to put on a lot of conditioner to remove that feeling and make it soft again. I color my hair and after the hair was dry I noticed that the color seemed duller, not as shiny as before. The second time I shampooed...

I don't like to tear down natural products but unfortunately this was the worst shampoo i've ever used! I tried giving it a chance by using it more than once but it just got worse. As soon as i put it on, my hair starts feeling like a brillo pad! It sticks together like velcro and i have to put a LOT of conditioner to get a comb through it. It also leaves a waxy film after rinsing. Once my hair is dry i don't notice any volume and my hair feels and looks stripped and dry. It's true that it has no lather whatsoever but that wouldn't have bothered me as much if the shampoo worked well . Commercial shampoos lather so well because they contain sulfates and detergents (something i wanted to avoid) But in this shampoo i can't feel the benefits of using a sulfate free free shampoo, it's even more drying and damaging than the previous sulfate shampoos i used to use. *Sigh* Wasted my money. Will be moving on to something else.

I was looking for a great shampoo since I've given up on other shampoo's, due to all the chemicals in them.I recently became more sensitive to chemicals, so I was on the search for something more organic and natural, that didn't choke me with chemicals in the shower. I gave this a try, loving the scent, and knowing I could fully understand the back label. I thought it was reasonably priced for what i was getting. It doesn't quite lather the same as other shampoo's, but it still gave a nice suds. It kind of felt like syrup at first, so it took a few times to get used to the texture. I have pretty long straight hair, and my hair felt really nice after using this shampoo. It gave me a nice shine and a bit of bounce too! I do recommend using it with the matching Conditioner to get the best results. My one complaint would be that, after a few weeks, my hair felt a little weighed down at the scalp, and felt like it was getting greasy faster. So, I needed to use a clarifying shampoo every...

While I am into trying natural products, I was NOT impressed by Burt's Bees Volumizing Shampoo. There was virtually no lather, the smell was funky, it left my hair feeling waxy...and it did not volumize. The only redeeming quality about it is that the ingredients are all natural and environmentally responsible. Thankfully it was a gift and I didn't waste my own money on it.

This Shampoo made my hair sticky after my shower! At first, i thought it was frizz, but much of my hair became sticky and tangled after using this stuff! I would never recommend this product for anyone!...

i tried burt's bees very volumizing pomegranate and soy shampoo and was disappointed. the first thing i noticed was the smell is wonderful, but that's all. the second thing i noticed when i tried the shampoo for the first time is that it is runny. it ran out of the palm of my hand through my fingers. the third thing i noticed, was it did not later up. the next day, i felt as if i needed to wash my hair all over again. usually, i can go for two to three days without having to wash my hair before it looks greasy. all in all, it was not volumizing, it's nice that it's natural, but on the label, you state all these important things it does to hair, but it didn't do it to mine.the most important to me was richly foaming, and it wasn't....

I recently purchased the Burts Bees Baby Bees shampoo and body wash and loved it. I thought I would try the "adult" shampoo figuring it would be great too.

I admit the fragrance is wonderful but I was disappointed overall. The shampoo doesn't make a rich lather like I am used to but perhaps that is due to the more natural ingredients. My hair also feels extremely greasy and limp after use.

I am willing to give it one more try, but I have to say I am disappointed.

I have fine hair and it is starting to thin. Even though I have sensitive skin I have tried quite a few "volumizing" shampoos that have not done the job and have caused allergic reactions. I read an article about Burt Bee's Shampoos and decided to give the Very Volumizing one a try. I love it. I have been using it for months and have not had one allergic reaction. I am thrilled because the volume is great :-)
The added bonuses: it smells wonderful, it is not harmful to the environment and it is not tested on animals. Also: Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate free. Paraben free. Phthalate free....
