Meri says "turns dry and cracked into soft and sensuous..." about Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme

This is one of my favorite winter products. Years ago I had the world's worst dry, cracked heels. The cracks were so deep you could have driven a SmartCar through them. I was embarrassed to take off my socks. Then, I discovered Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme. It took a few weeks of using the product faithfully for my heels to transform themselves into soft and supple but it did happen. I have, over the years, found that if I start using it two or three times a week when socks weather arrives that I can avoid the dry, chapped heels of winters past.

How to Use:

Liberally slather on the product and cover with socks to prevent any greasy spots on the floor. If you have a bad case of dry, chapped feet use it every morning and night until the condition improves.

The name is confusing. It is NOT a creme. It is an emollient; petroleum based product with the sweet smell of the Islands.

Ingredients:

glycerin, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, avena sativa (oat) kernel protein, lanolin, cocos nucifera...
...

wuguimei says "Comparable to Vasaline" about Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme

After reading raving reviews about Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme ($8.99), I rushed to test it out. Bad choice. Honestly, I think this product is comparable to Vasaline-- minus the scent.

I do have some minor foot issues that I'm trying to fix-- and I'm doing my best to prevent. I have mildly cracked heels that are dry most of the time, and this foot creme is not very effective. The only difference I've noticed is that my heels feels slightly softer, however, the effects are not lasting.

Another problem I have about Burt's Bees Foot Creme is that it is very greasy. You'll have to wear a sock over so that you won't stain your bedsheets.

I decided to test this product against Vasaline one night. I used Vasaline on one foot and Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme on the other. The results are not much different, plus Vasaline is cheaper.

Overall, I'd say to save your money and go for Vasaline. You'll get more product in Vasaline, too.
...

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream was a disappointment for the price. Yes, it smells great, and yes, it moisturizes a bit, but not any better than Vaseline or Curel (which are more affordable!)

Its greasy texture is downright annoying. Instead of lotioning my feet and going to sleep, I had to get up to wash my hands with tons of soap to get the oily cream off. If it really turned my feet soft as butter, I would have forgiven this cream. But it didn't.
...

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme has an unusual texture and color. It is starts out thick and gooey and then becomes very greasy. It does not feel very good when applying. I have however noticed that my feet feel great in the morning. I do love that it is all natural and not tested on animals.

My feet are very soft and look great after 1 application of Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme. So it definitely does its job. I just cant get over the gooey greasy feeling. I also do not think it smells that great. Its not a bad scent, I just don't care for it. When you first smell it, it does smell great but then the coconut scent wears off and you are left with a scent that is indescribable. I would rather use something that goes on smoother, absorbs faster, and smells better. I also think that it is not worth its price tag.

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme is not for me. If you don't mind the thick, gooey, greasy feeling then I would recommend it. If not I would say try something...
...

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme is effective but very greasy. It also feels rather nasty going on and you *must* wear socks after you apply it. The time of the year that you would want to use it (summer) is also the same time of year where you would not want to sleep in socks. It seems to me that you could just buy coconut oil and some glycerin and slather it on your feet and get the same results for much less. The product does work but I would prefer it if it moisturized without being overly greasy...
...

I love this product. Embarrassingly enough, I suffered from the worst dry feet. In the wintertime, the skin on my feet would actually crack. Now, even though I love natural products (because they are environmentally friendly and cruelty free), I believed that a lot of natural products did not work as well as more synthetic ones. So, because my feet issue got so bad, I thought, "why not bring in the big, synthetic guns." So I sold out. I bought a lot of very expensive brands. I tried products from Wal-Mart to Bloomingdales, from Target to the Seacret people at the mall kiosks. Nothing worked, and I was about to give up and lead an ashy footed life. Well, while doing some online ordering for some personal favorites from Burt's Bees, I decided to try the Coconut Foot Cream - what could I lose, right? When I got the product, I was not very impressed by the texture. It was not really creamy nor did it absorb quickly into the skin. But despite this, by golly, it cured......

This is good cream if you have really dry feet, elbows or whatever. It really works but is slightly greasy so put your booties on after use. It does do the job however. It's a tad expensive as are all Burt's products but it given good results with natural ingredients. I don't like coconut so I did not find the smell all that appealing but it smelled like real coconut, so I guess that's good. It lasts and a little does go the distance....

My feet tend to be dry, cracked, and generally a disaster area all throughout the year. I run around all day at work and then come home to run around after the various foster cats/dogs. I have gotten into a routine where I give myself a pedicure every Monday night. I soak them, scrub them, file them, and, finally, slather them in foot cream. I bought Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme about three weeks ago as I waited for some prescriptions to be filled. I've used it several times now and am pretty impressed.

This product is 99.40% natural, according to the label. It contains vegetable glycerin, olive oil, oat flour, lanolin, super-saturated coconut oil, vitamin E, and a few other ingredients. This Coconut Foot Creme is unique because it is translucent and more of a thick oil than a rich cream. You don't have to use nearly as much of this stuff as you would with other foot lotions and creams; a quarter-sized amount is enough to thoroughly moisturize each foot. It does a...
...

I love this cream. I do not have the time to go out and get pedicures. Being on my feet outdoors all day makes my feet a bit rough, especially in summer when I wear flip flops. After soaking my feet and buffing away dry cracked skin with a pumice stone I apply a generous amount of this thick cream to my feet, put socks on and go to bed. When I wake up they are soft and supple. If you are a coconut lover, this cream is for you. Smells like pure coconut oil, very tropical. My husband actually asks once in a while if he can use some. That says a lot right there for someone who hates any types of creams. Highly recommended.
...
