I got a sample of this stuff and tried it right away, i just happen to have a blemish that popped up overnight. And OMG, this stuff got rid of it in a day two tops. Ilove that it is all organic, no harsh chemicals, nothing. it's from mother nature the way she ment for it. I had to go out and buy 2 sticks just to have on hand so i don't run out of it. FYI i use a Q-tip to apply, works So much better.
...

tigres13 says "does everything other does, but does it naturally!" about Burt's Bees Blemish Stick

I originally got this as a sample through burtsbees.com a while back. It was unlike anything I had used before. It came in a glass perfume sample container and just blew me away. It worked so well that I went out and bought a full size product as soon as the sample was empty. The full size product comes in a glass container with a roller ball tip. It is rolled across the skin to apply the product. I used it on whiteheads and those deep under the skin blemishes. It made them dry up and shrink and reduced the redness by the end of the day on the first use. It drys very quickly when applied and goes on evenly and in a thin layer because of the unique roller ball tip. I scratched my chin (where I have severe acne) and then applied the Burt's Bees Blemish Stick on my entire chin area and it did not cause my cut to burn or sting as I would have expected it to. This is a giant plus because I have a bad habit of picking at my acne leaving open spots. It does not sting when applied to open blemishes...
...

Brighde says "Burt's blemish stick works, but the scent can overwhelm." about Burt's Bees Blemish Stick

I love Burt's Bees products in general, especially their amazing creams for dry hands and feet. I recently had the opportunity to sample their Natural Acne Solutions line and was a bit surprised at how similar the spot treatment is to this older product. They share an obnoxious scent that I believe is due to fennel; because of an aversion to the scent, my fiance won't use it. However, the new spot treatment seems to me to work better than the blemish stick, despite a nearly identical scent and similar (if not identical; I haven't scrutinized the ingredient lists) formulation.

I have hormonal imbalances that cause me to have less predictable skin (ie, more acne outbreaks) than most twenty-something females. This product definitely helped me keep the blemishes under control, but not as well as some other products. As noted by another reviewer, I think that the roll-on applicator is less hygenic than an acne treatment should be; it's too easy to spread bacteria and multiply pimples.

Considering...
...

It has been years since I've experienced teenage skin problems so when a container of Doctor Burt's Herbal Blemish Stick came in a basket of Burt's Bees products I set it aside. About a month ago I noticed a few breakout spots around my shoulders. I was perplexed and wondered where they had come from. Although I never found out the cause of the breakout I did remember the Blemish Stick I'd squirreled away. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the "stick" was not a stick at all but a little glass vial with a roll on applicator that comes covered with a screw on top to keep everything neat and clean.

The first ingredient of the product is alcohol which helps dry up the breakout spots but somehow doesn't over-dry. The addition of tea tree oil as well as other natural herbal oils gives the product a boost for healing but has a definite smell.

Bottom Line:

The blemish stick worked overnight on my skin problems which I found hard to believe. In my opinion the fact that it does work......

This product works best as a spot treatment. It won't rid someone of acne, but it will certainly make a bright red, annoying, and often painful bump significantly diminish and be less noticeable without drying your skin. I think one of the main ingredients is alcohol so don't be surprised when it stings a little.

Overall, I use it only as a spot treatment as I have found that it does not work well on whiteheads.

I have also noticed that it does not do a thing for body acne.

But it is cheap and easy to take with you when traveling. It also lasts a long time. If you don't like the idea of rolling it on your skin, shake it and put it on a q-tip and apply to the affected area.
...

Burt's Bees Blemish Stick...What an aweful product. It made me break out so bad. It even made my cystic acne worse. The way the product is made (roll-on) makes it so easy to spread bacteria back to your face. I would not recommend this so called acne treatment to anyone that has an acne problem. Please be very careful....
