I am a huge fan of Burt's Bees products because they are made with high quality ingredients that are organic and natural. My overall favorite product by this line is the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin 3 oz because it feels great on my lips and really keeps them smooth. The tin is a little hard to apply because you do it with your finger, but it feels so good on my lips. There isn't really a scent to the product and it feels soothing and cooling on my lips. I found the tin for less than $5 and it is easy to take with you for lip protection anywhere. I work outside so my lips are prone to be dry and chapped and this Burt's Bees Balm is instant relief. The product feels soft and smooth but doesn't make my lips too shiny. I like that it is long lasting and really keeps my lips moisturized throughout the day. The lip balm spreads easily so a little of the product goes a long way. I like the product for how it keeps my lips looking and feeling great and it is a great natural...

I received Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin 3 oz as part of a gift set from a friend who loves the stuff. Frankly, I don't see why.

First off, the tin is cute. BUT, it's not as handly to me as say a tube of Chapstick. Sometimes the tin gets stuck. Also, I don't really like having to apply the lip balm with my finger.

I guess it does work but I always feel like I have to keep reapplying it. I don't like the smell too much. It's kind of waxy-peppermint smelling. Which gets stuck on your finger because you have to apply it with your finger so both your lips and finger smell like waxy peppermint. That peppermint aroma sort of gets in your mouth as well and that bothers me too.

As I am writing this, I must say, I am going to have to change the number of stars I give the product. I always thought "eh this product is ok" but now I am realizing I don't really liek it at all. I don't like the way you have to apply it, I don't like the smell and the peppermint makes your...

My daughter gave me some Burt's Bees products for my birthday. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm and another product came on a stuffed animal which I'll talk about in a moment.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm has its pros and cons:

Pros

It's not tested on animals
Nice ingredients including coconut oil, sweet almond oil, ultra-emollient lanolin, sunflower oil, and peppermint oil
It's a nice moisturizer which we are told is sealed in by the beeswax.
The yellow tin can be used for other things (pennies?) and can be recycled.
It can be applied as often as I want.

Cons

The price - At about $3.00 for a 3 ounce tin that's three times what you pay for others; however, the others probably will be tested on animals.
There is no sunscreen in Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.
I concur with other reviews I've read. The tin is hard to open. If you have any problems like arthritis you do not want to buy this!
It has to be used with my finger which should be clean and it then gets under my nails...

How to open the tin.

Step One : Catch the bottom half tin with your thumb and index fingers of your right hand.

Step Two: Catch the top half tin with your thumb and index fingers of your left hand.

Step Three: Twist the top half clockwise and the bottom half counterclockwise.

Step Four: Remove the top and use the lip balm.

If it doesn't work, please repeat Step Three.

The lip balm is not made of metal and it melts when temperature exceeds 110F.

Once I left it in the dryer so the balm reshaped but I can still use it.

This smells refreshing, goes on smoothly and is soothing to the lips. I find the mint to be comforting and refreshing and it works so well. It goes on easily and has nice natural ingredients. I like it very much when I can get that little tin open. What is this thing some medieval torture device. The balm comes in a little tin with a lid that is adult, pet and child proof. I have given up in utter frustration at trying to pry the little demon off so I could polish up my lips. I really don't use this product anymore because of the packaging. Though I do say use it if you have the ability to get to the stuff inside without having a meltdown. Be careful in the heat or even keeping it near your body, it melts very quickly and easily.

this is the only lip balm I've used consistently over the past 2 years now! I love how natural it is and the fact that it works sooooo welll on dry lips. It contains all these natural herbal ingredients, including peppermint, so it gets tingly after you put it on. Even my boyfriend steals some from me!

Yes, ok, the tin is sometimes a bt frustrating to open but I really think that is a small issue. The new tin I recently bought is designed slightly differently to make opening it easier.

It doesn't have a taste, which may be good or bad to some people.

I usually don't buy Burt's Bees products because they have been very hit-or-miss for me. In fact, I tried this product once before in the stick form and was disappointed with it. I had to spend ten minutes browsing around in a drug store last week while I was waiting for a prescription to be filled. Of course I wound up buying a few items in the line, including this lip balm. I like it better in the 0.3 ounce tin but it still isn't something that I'm totally crazy about.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm contains coconut oil, sweet almond oil, peppermint oil, vitamin E, lanolin, comfrey root extract, and, of course, beeswax. The tin describes it as "soothing, cooling, (and) refreshing." The balm itself is a translucent white and has a strong but very pleasant peppermint scent.

It's easy enough to apply this product to lips. I had to create a little divot into it at first, but then it was easy to scoop out the balm and smooth it across my mouth. It goes on in a slightly thick...

I actually bough this for my 13 year old son. He is a lip bitter and bites his top lip and with the cold weather they get chapped really fast. I went into the store and asked and someone told me to try this. It helped him in no time at all his lips looked better within a day and now he uses it constan tly my daughter even uses it now. I love it....

Burt's Lip Balm is the best I've used. Other balms seem to waer off or even worsen the problem! Burt's is soothing and heals the chapping! The best part is it is a great company to support, mostly natural product [feel good about what's on your mouth!], and free of animal cruelty!...

I've been using many different types of lip balm, but this Burt's Bee lip balm has to be my favorite. It is inexpensive, natural, and really leaves my lips moisurize for hours. It does not have aftertaste and not oily. I love the small tin the lip balm comes in, even though sometimes it is a little difficult to open. Amazing and inexpensive....

Ok the product INSIDE the jar is great. Makes your lips soft and smooth. But the TIN?? I mean reasearch this stuff YOU CANT OPEN THE TIN. Never. I eventually threw away the tin and all its lovely product because to open it, it is a pain the rear. And lets say you put on a bit of hand lotion before hand well give it up you are not going to be able to open that tin never ever. I quit buying this lovely product because of the tin...

The first time I used this I was hooked. Most other lip balms after a few weeks I get the irritated lips and need to switch to another brand. However, this one has never irritated my lips and I love the minty cooling effect you get whenever you put it on your lips. I like that it doesn't have any excessive shine that looks like I just ate something fried. Now I only stock this lip balm and recently bought in bulk so I never have to run out again!...

A smidge hard to CLOSE, I've found. But as long as you don't mind getting your fingers dirty, this is an excellent product!

Moisturizes and soothes dry chapped lips. Very comforting to someone whith constant chapped lips.

Very reasonably priced. Is also available in tubes, and different formulas. With all the chemicals going into our bodies these days, it's nice to have a product line that you can count on AND read and understand the ingreedients label!

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin "World's Best Lip Balm" is a good natural lip balm. But the packaging stinks. It's better to buy a stick of Burt's Bees balm than fight with the tin to get it to open.

Burt's Bees is dedicated to making natural products and I respect them for that. I try to use natural products when I can and it's easy to use natural lip balms because so many ingredients from nature are good for the lips. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin "World's Best Lip Balm" is good but by no means the best. I would like it much more if I could OPEN the tin! I can't tell you how many times I have tossed the little tin onto the floor because I just couldn't get it open. Still, when I DO get it open, this balm is soothing and rich.
