neely36310 says "The ONLY solution for my baby's eczema" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion

This summer I went through torture trying to fix the eczema on my 18-month old. His skin was irritated by playing in the grass and has red, dry, itchy spots on his legs and arms, mostly where he sweated. I tried everything - and now most of those products are sitting uselessly on the counter of my bathroom - from bag balm, to petroleum jelly, to perscription stuff from the doc, fancy expensive creams - but nothing was keeping it at bay. My poor baby was a greased little pig this summer and I tried to keep him slathered :) Eventually, I turned to Burt's Bees lotion - their hand salve had been helping a little on his legs - but just the lotion, their ordinary lotion, was the ticket! If I can apply it twice a day, his legs heal just fine! I'm so grateful . . . .
...

dmlichnerowicz says "It's natural, but I can't get past the filmy feeling and smell!" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion

I got a bottle of Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion from my mother-in-law from a gift basket she received. Since she only uses Avon products, she passed it along to me. I'm not sure how much this product costs, but there are a few reasons I would probably not purchase for myself it in the future.

My first beef is the smell. It's a little sickly sweet for me. I'm also not a fan of the feel once it's been applied to my skin. While the lotion smoothes on nicely, it leaves a filmy and slightly waxy feeling behind...babies may not notice, I sure as heck do! And since the bottle says it's "for sensitive skin of all ages," I really wish it didn't feel so heavy. Of course, being a Burt's Bees product, I love that the container is made of 96% post-consumer recycled pellets and can be recycled again, and that the lotion itself is 98.31% natural. No parabens, synthetic dyes or fillers, or chemical additives make this a safe product to use on yourself or children.

Unfortunately,...
...

leatherbustiere says "smells like a baby should!" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion

At first after I had my first baby I bought some baby wash and lotion from Aura Cacia. While I love their stuff for older kids that my nephews and niece use, the baby stuff wasn't for me. The lavendar scent was way to strong and well, unbabyish. Even though Burt's Bees baby products aren't 100% natural, they are pretty close and it's so much better than the chemical stuff in the store. My grandmother-in-law sent us a baby care package with some of the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion and the scent is HEAVENLY! I don't find it too strong and I love smelling my baby after she is bathed. I hate it when the scent fades! I love it so much that I just bought the buttermilk soap and used it on her for the first time about 20 min. ago. The same great scent and it didn't seem to leave her skin all dry. I'm smelling the lotion on my hands right now. aahhh....

This was the product that got me hooked on Burts Bees. The scent of this lotion is heavenly. I have been using it on my daughter for almost two years now and I still cant get enough of this lotion, even I use it! Everybody always tells me how great the baby and I smell. The scent is not overpowering at all once its absorbed into the skin. It leaves our skin so soft and smooth. And the fact that its free of the harsh chemicals found in other baby lotions makes this product by far the best. ...

I suffer from dry hands, and have looked many years for a lotion that truly moisturizes, and that leaves my hands feeling soft even after a long night - most lotions leave my skin feeling tight, if not dry, every morning. However, this lotion is almost 100% natural, and works. It's creamy, not greasy. It could be a little thicker, though. It smells AMAZING - soft, comfortable, homey, sweet, relaxing and warm. Usually I get tired of a smell by the end of the bottle but I never tire of this smell.

The lotion I depend on every night. I don't know how it is for babies, but it's great for hands, especially before bedtime.
...

norasmom says "Smells way too strong for babies" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion

My baby has some eczema so I tried this lotion thinking it would be good because it's natural. I was wrong. First of all, the smell is WAY too strong for a baby, and it made me sick to my stomach because it doesn't fade away. It's a nice smell, but I would like it better if it weren't so strong. I think I'll use it on my feet. Will perfume up my shoes....
