This Brother sewing machine is wonderful and sew much fun. The embroidery feature is easy to understand and use. I have been sewing for more than 40 years and love to use special features and do special things. I have owned Brother machines for years. I decided to give this one a shot because I do so much embroidery. Now I am doing small jobs for the church and the school. Infact you can make money with this machine and use that to reimburse you for the expense of the machine. This machine is not difficult to understand. I am the worst when it comes to a new machine. Just take your time and play with it to get familiar with it. Works great on so many different types of materials. Threding is a bit tricky to get going but once you get it, you get it. This machine is not bad for travel either. Sometimes if I need to do some embroidery work for someone I will take my machine to the location and do the work there. Not sure as to the weight but it's not bad.

Brothers Sewing and Embrodiary Machines are so User Friendly - I like the fact that they sew hundreds of different stitches and you can also embrodiery with the same machine - All the foot attachements come with the machine and the hoops - So there is not alot of extra expense - The Instructions are easy to read - The machine has a self help on the sceen to help with problems are if you forget something - The machine will do smocking, quilting, buttonholes, and many more at the touch of a button on the screen. There is not alot of reading and complications. There is 4 different hoop sizes for embroidery. You can use an embroidery card or download design onto a disk. There are alot of interent sites that offer free download designs for alot different projects. The designs are easy to edit and change size and color on the screen so you create your own special projects.

I really use the quilting options. A machine quilt looks like a hand sewn one without all the time and sewing...

I have the PE-150 which only does embroidery, but I have had it for 8 years now and I love it! I haven't had any problems with it. Brother seems to make the best products for sewing and embroidery. The embroidery cards are vast and enjoyable. I have made doll faces, embroidered stockings, embroidered towels, and embroidered shirts. I truly enjoy the embroidery machine. The Brother Sewing Machine - Embroidery Sewing Machine - HE-120 is the next purchase I plan to make in sewing and embroidery machines making it easier to combine my love of machines. It will make it easier to not take up as much space....

I love this machine. The designs are really great looking and so easy to do!! The way that you have to thread this machine is GREAT!!! So easy! I highly recommend this machine to ALL beginners who want to start embroidering and sewing....

After having the same sewing machine for 35 years - Sear Brand. I decided I wanted a new machine that had easier ways to embroidery work. After reading about many many different machines I settled on the Brother HE-120. It is a wonderful machine, very easy to use and learn. It does so much. The cost was very reasonable. It sews beautifully. Of course using a 35 yr old machine and then moving to the new technology is a big jump. I am impressed with Brother. The only think that is a bit hard is winding the bobbin, and threading. I love the threading cartridge. It's nice and easy to thread the needle. However I have had to reload it several times to get it to thread the needle. The bobbin winder is another minor problem for me. It's just a bit hard to get everything just right to wind the thread on the bobbin. I did not take any lessons in use of the machine so am pleased how easy it was to set up and start using....

This is a very good product. I received it as a present and was impressed by the overall appearance of the machine. It was easy to set up and get started. The accompanying DVD was informative and instructive. I am not an experienced seamstress; however, this machine is perfect for my inexperience. I would recommend it to anyone....

This sewing machine is the best one that I have ever used. It has an automatic threader, computerized operations and an embroidery function with a card for downloading new designs. I am so impressed with this machine and all the functions and accessories.
I shopped around for several months and could not find a better deal than this!
