Prior to purching the Brother MFC-7420 I used several other printer brands/features. The Brother MFC-7420 prints, makes copies, scans and faxes. Each of the four features are easy to use, producing clean, clear copies. The scan/fax to PC is especially easy to use, though the scanning may take a little more time than some other machines.

Excellent scanning resolution. Nice printing quality's. No problems with paper feed. I used to have HP a few years back and those machines were horrible with feeding the paper

The only disadvantage: it has a multifeed for copying or scanning, but when scanning several papers it stores it in several files. Or I did not figure out yet how to convert them in one file.

I don't know what I would do without this machine. As A teacher it is an invaluable tool in making my job a lot easier and less stressful. I can send a fax late at night and make those last-minute copies without any problems. The toner cartridge lasts a very long time(three months or more depending on use) and isn't very expensive. All around this is quite a nice machine for the price I paid for it. I...

The Brother MFC-7420 all-in-one is a great printer, scanner, and fax machine. I have one in my office, just implored a relative to purchase one, and my business partner has one too. I scan everything and am very pleased with the quality, simplicity, and effectiveness of this Brother machine. The only trouble I've had deals with the fax from PC feature. I had to print my fax, take the paper from the out tray and place it in the in tray. Prints business cards very well - I just printed 30. The paper width guides on hand feed and auto feed trays loosen easily....
