I have always used Britax, and only Britax, car seats for my child. He started in a Wizard, moved on to a Marathon and is now in a Boulevard. It is a huge car seat and probably wouldn't fit well in all vehicles. I drive a very large SUV and it fits fine, although my older child does say it makes the seats more narrow for other passengers.

I was in a frontal crash last year and it totaled my vehicle. My child walked away from that accident, as did everyone in the vehicle. The emergency technicians on scene stated that they had never seen such a large seat and commended me for keeping my 6 year old in a 5 point harness.
...

marrilion says "The Volvo of car seats-has side wings for impact protection" about Britax Boulevard Car Seat

Am enthusiastic about the Britax Boulevard convertible car seat, and give it excellent rating overall l. The standout feature here is the safety wings with EPS designed to provide additional protection in a side-impact collision. This feature adds safety but blocks the child's view somewhat. If you're considering the Boulevard, it might be a good idea to see how your particular child reacts to it first. The Britax Boulevard also has extra-high weight limit. While most convertible car seats -- including the popular Graco ComfortSport are only rated for kids who weigh less than 40 pounds, the Boulevard can accommodate children weighing as much as 65 pounds in a five-point harness. The Boulevard is bulky, though.

BASIC FEATURES AND MORE
The purpose of a basic carseat is to protect infants and toddlers who are too small to be restrained by the built-in seatbelts adults can use. More advanced seats like the Britax Boulevard offer:

5 point harness - Not all seats have this, though more...

...

The Britax Boulevard Car Seat is well worth the money. It is more expensive compared to some car seats on the market but it is wonderful. Britax car seats alone are awesome but I like the Boulevard for other features. It has side walls for better side impact protectin in case of an accident. I also like the most Britax car seats go up to 65 pounds so you won't be buying your child a bunch of car seats. Britax car seats are very secure. My son has a Britax Marathon which is about 5 years old and has held up great.
...

DO NOT BUY THIS UNSAFE CAR SEAT!! My 2 1/2 year old son can reach down and loosen the shoulder harness to the point where if we were in a head on collision he would fly thru the front window. When we called Britax the rep said she could send out a plastic attachment that would work until he figures this out. My wife told her this was completely unacceptable and she stated that no car seat is completely safe. UNBELEIVABLE!! Im calling the CEO, the Government....

Britax Boulevard Car Set is very nice. Our son enjoyed it from the first day we moved him from the travel system. He was not very keen on the travel system, so we switch him very early, about 3 months old, into Britax and he stoppped being kranky in the car. Then when he was 1 and we switch him to forward facing, he was happy again. He seems to be confortable in it, fell asleep easy in it, and from the safety ratings I see it is very good.

The only thing that I wish it had is the recliner. If the baby fells asleep, you cannot recline it so sometimes his head will fall forward.

I love the Boulevard Britax carseat. It may be mor expensive than others, but it is worth every penny. I love all the safety features, and that the manual fits in the carseat so I never have to search for it. I also love how comfortable it is for my kids. We traveled from California to North Carolina....the pacific to the atlantic...41 hours in the car, and my kids were comfy the whole time. They slept great and never whined about wanting to get out. I recommend the car seat to everybody I know!
...

I'm a mom of 3 great kids; so I have lots of experience with Car seats ( my oldest is 14, then 10 and the baby for whom I bought this latest seat just turned one). Let me tell you, they have come a LOOONG way in carseats since my first child. I was amazed by ALL the different seats available. It took me weeks to decide on a carseat and when I finally read EVERY review there was on-line on just about EVERY car-seat available I was stuck on this britax Boulevard model. I loved all the feature's like the true side impact protection, which was a VERY big decisions maker in this carseat for me/ us; that I can adjust the seat with one hand by turning the nop next to the headrest and it will turn either higher or lower depending on the age/size of your precious angel, the five point harness will adjust along with the headrest so it's easy to change the setting, we all know our babies grow over night, so who has time in the morning before you rush out the door to drop everything to adjust the carseat...
...

I have this carseat for my 2 year old daughter and I just love it. It is farily easy to install. The knob strap adjust and side impact protection are worth the extra money. I had the Marathon for my son at this age (which I also love) but this one is a lot easier to adjust. The different fabrics to choose from make it fun and a little more personal. It is a little expensive but I feel you can't put a price on your child's safety. It is a larger carseat but your child will be able to stay in it longer than most other carseats.
...

I just love the Britax technology and line of products they offer. I am a house wife on a budge since we are a one income large family with 2 kids in car seats. I never knew how important a 5 point harness was until I saw a video on you tube about a child that should have had one. I sat there crying my eyes out and began to research how I, as a parent could prevent this from happening. I found out that Britax makes some of the best seats out there safety wise. There is a big price tag on them but you can find sales bi-yearly and free shipping to offset the purchase. My younger son rides in a Britax Boulevard and he rode rear facing until 2 years old. Some people say that kids will get uncomfortable but my son was born 8.3 pounds and by 2 months he had hit 16 pounds. Yes, 16 pounds of smiley baby. At one years old he was 30 pounds and tall. He never got upset to get into his cushy recliner of a chair. The only reason I turned his seat around at 2 years old was because he hit the height limit...
...

The Britax Boulevard is our second car seat, our first was an infant carrier. The carrier really helped us realize what you want in a car-seat and you get everything with the Boulevard, easy to adjust, no moving straps though holes. The bottom leg clip can be done one at a time, unlike our infant seat that required the two sides be inserted at the same time.

We ended up buying a second one for my husbands truck, it has a very small bench seat in the back and the seat fits fine.

We have also taken it on the plane with us, I feel that it is a bit big for the plane, it doesn't fit down the aisle of the plane when strapped to the luggage, it's too wide. And then it's very large when it's installed in the seat, we've gone on two trips and had it facing rear for both.
...

As my daughters one-year birthday approached, we started looking into convertible car seats. Our number one concern was safety. We wanted the best. After thorough research, we decided that Britax Boulevard would be the one to provide our daughter the best protection. It came very highly rated by consumer groups, and feedback from other parents who had this seat was excellent.

One feature we liked is it's capability to rear-face up to 35 lbs. My daughter is a petit little girl and at 18 months is still only 20 lbs, which is the minimal weight to forward face them. However, our research showed that rear facing was better so we are glad that the Britax allows this capability. Even better than that....it allows tethering with the rear-facing, unlke many which tether only forward facing. When my daugher reaches the 35-lb rear facing limit, we will turn the Boulevard around and it will accomodate her up to 65 pounds. So we look forward to getting a lot of use out of this carseat for quite...
...

Britax Boulevard Car Seat

This seat is really great, I can't say enough good things about it.

First of all, my 7 month old son fits perfectly and rides so comfortably in it. He outgrew his carrier, and I wanted a safe, and snuggly seat for him to move into. He not only loves the look of the cow print (he smiles and laughs at himself in the Baby In Sight mirror!), but the fabric is so plush and soft. If you're going to get a top of the line model, I figure take advantage of the fun prints that are offered! It's great because it is so soft and lush, but he doesn't sweat in it at all, and he's a big sweater! The BRU exclusive fabric, Racer, looks chic, but is very rough to the touch down the center stripe.

Also, this seat was almost too easy to install. It was so simple, I felt like that couldn't possibly be "it". But it was! The LATCH connectors have clicks similar to seatbelts, and easy to pull straps - this was nothing like trying to install the base to my Graco Snugride. I'm confident...
...

The Britax Boulevard has been the perfect choice in convertible car seats for my little guy. I researched car seats for 2 months before deciding on the Britax. Safety is a number one priority as far as my little guy is concerned. While the Britax brand is more pricey than other brands, I felt the extra safety features as well as their proven track record in safety innovations made the Boulevard a worthwhile investment.

The Britax Boulevard features side-impact protection as well as standard harness protection. But the one feature that stood out most for me is the capability of keeping my son rear-facing for an extended period of time. The Boulevard is capable of rear-facing up to 35 lbs. In addition, the Britax Boulevard also serves as a forward facing harness seat for children up to 65 lbs.

The downside to the Britax other than cost - the fabric seems to keep my son too warm, installation can be tricky and requires another person to insure correct installation. The seat...
...

My son outgrew his Peg perego so we decided to buy a Britax Boulevard (which is considered one of the safest car seat in the market). This is also very expensive. I have spent a lot of time researching the safest convertible car seat for our son. I chose this one for side impact protection and the 65lb weight limit. Friends and family also recommended this particular car seat thru their experience. So far i have been very pleased with the quality, durability, and appearance of the seat. It is fairly easy to install. My son looks very comfortable in it. But like most car seat, it is a little tricky to click him in it. This particular model has a front recline handle which allows the seat to tilt back a little further allowing for my son's head to be in a comfortable position while riding and sleeping. My husband and I like long trips so this particular car seat was a very good choice. This is a huge car seat. This is not ideal for small compact cars. I could not imagine...
...
