Want a great way to go green and actually save money while saving the environment? The Brita Contour Water pitcher fits the bill. I have an undercounter mini fridge, and this pitcher fits in easily. The water does take a bit more time to filter through into the pitcher then you might expect. The water tastes as good as any bottled water and can be used to fill any transportable container of your choice. Buy the cartridge replacement filters in 3 packs to save big money and have filters for 6 months of filtering (2 months each). You will save hundreds of dollars a year over buying bottled water. Have the convenience of getting your water from your own in home tap. And, you will save landfills from thousands of non degradeable plastic containers. The Brita Pitcher is a no brainer. So get yours today without delay.
...

titusv says "great tasting water and great for the environment" about Brita Contour Water Pitcher

I bought this recently because I got tired of lugging all the bottles of water home from the store. I live in an area with well water and it smells and tastes horrible. Most of the time it has a nasty sulfur rotten egg taste and smell and you have to soften the water with salt and treat the tank with bleach every month. All those chemicals sometimes kill the smell but I still wondered how healthy the water that was coming from the tap could be. I always purchased bottled water for drinking but lately all the stories about the dangerous plastic in those bottles and the thought of all that plastic in the landfills really turned me off. And the idea of all the oil wasted producing that plastic and transporting the water was really bothering me.

I decided to try the Brita Pitcher System and it works great. Even on the days when the tap water smells the worst, running it through the pitcher gives very acceptable tasting water. It's at least as good as most of the cheaper stuff...
...

debby13 says "Does the Job and Is Easy to Use" about Brita Contour Water Pitcher

I have a half gallon Britta Pitcher. The water in my area does not taste good. The pitcher does work at least in terms of making water taste good. It is a slender pitcher that fits nicely in a narrow space.

Working the pitcher is very simple. The filter sits in an apparatus in the pitcher. It just slides in. Run a few pitchers worth of water through it and then fill it up and chill the water to the desired coolness.

The filter needs to be replaced every few months. Amazon, Walmart, etc. sell the filters in three packs for under $20. It makes it a lot cheaper than inexpensive bottled water. I bought some nice BPA-free bottles the size of standard water bottles and I take them everywhere.

The only down sides of this pitcher are:

1. It is heavy when full

2. Perhaps I am clumsy, but I have spilled water many times when pouring it. It is just water, so I do not consider that to be terribly negative.
...

I am loving this Brita filtration pitcher......Instead of buying bottled water, it's more money wise to get this product and still ensure a safe, clean and great tasting water for your family. The filter can be used for a couple of months and you can always get a replacement that usually comes in 3-piece a box at affordable price. The slim design is also great for saving space in your refrigerator....And although it isn't a big container, water is filtered quickly so just refill and not worry about running out of water to drink..
...

Jo says "Brita doesn't have an eating disorder. It's just the Slim Model" about Brita Contour Water Pitcher

To the Point
When my mom moved into her Assisted Living Facility it came with a small refrigerator. She likes cold water so I couldn't get a large Brita Filtration System. Instead I bought her the Brita Pitcher Water Filtration System in the Slim Model. This is the most compact system so the box tells me.

A Closer View

We used a Brita System for years until we got an outside water system on our refrigerator. I found the water to taste clean. In fact we are told that it is certified to reduce chlorine; mercury; and lead. It has the Good Housekeeping sign of approval on the box.

Some Specifications

The Brita Water Slim Pitcher is 10.6 inches by 9.1 inches x 4.2 inches which fits in perfectly in her refrigerator.

Brita offers a limited 90-day warranty.

The Brita Pitcher comes with one filter. Filters should be changed about every 2 months. It came with a complicated sticker to help me remember when to refill it.

It holds about 40 ounces of water.

Setting Up the Brita Pitcher

Setting this up...
...

We live in a town with poor quality water. We use this every day for our water, pet water, cooking, etc...basically every drop of water we consume comes from our pitcher. My husband even fills his water bottles from the pitcher to save money. This product makes me feel like our water is safer and healthier, which encourages us to drink more water. I wish the filters were not so expensive, but hopefully we ofset the costs by filling our own water bottles. I also wish the outer surface was textured. My pitcher is badly scuffed from daily use, and it would not show so badly if the surface was textured....

I got this pitcher for Christmas and, all in all, I like it. It's great if there's only a couple of people using it. It doesn't hold a lot of water but it's quick to fill up. I hate having to buy filters, but they're only about 8 dollars at Wal Mart. The water tastes great, too....

Due to a medical condition I have it's very important that I remain adequately hydrated at all times. When I started a new job last year I found it a pain to go downstairs at my office to fill up my glass every hour and decided that I needed a pitcher to keep at my desk. I decided on the Brita Contour pitcher as it was not too large and I liked the fact that it doesn't just dispense; it filters too.

I only paid about $10 for the pitcher which came with one filter. Filters last for a few months and cost a few dollars each but can be bought in bulk at warehouse stores at great savings. The process for preparing to use a new filter is simple. You just soak it in water for a few minutes, then rinse it off well and insert it into the hole in the insert in the pitcher top. Then you just fill up the insert with water and it trickles down into the bottom of the pitcher. Sometimes I fill the insert with ice and then pour the water over the top so the water sort of chills a bit before...
...
