Having owned the Braun hand blender MR400WH for several years now, I can say it is a sometimes handy and useful kitchen gadget. But I think if I had to use it every single day, I would become pretty annoyed because there are a few quirks that come up and have to work around, when I do occasionally pull it out for use.

There are two parts you just attach together when you need to use the blending function. Usually I do not keep them attached when storing away because otherwise it is too long to fit in the kitchen drawer. I can't find the other attachments that it came with but the only thing I ever use this device for is quick blending.

The blending feature of the Braun MR400WH stick works sufficiently but it can be hard to control because for one thing, it has a cord which can hamper you maneuvering, and second, it creates a lot of suction towards the bottom. If you hold the thing too high or close to the surface of the liquid you're blending, watch out. Because whatever you're mixing...

The Braun Multiquick hand blender is one appliance that I use almost everyday. I do a great deal of cooking and the Braun hand blender saves me time and money. I do not buy already chopped nuts or bread crumbs since these products are more expensive. Instead, I use the Braun hand blender to chop or crush such as corn flakes, herbs, nuts, or garlic. The Braun hand blender is very quick in chopping or crushing using the chopper attachment.

I use the whisk attachment for the Braun handblender to beat egg whites for desserts and souffles. The whisk attachment is also very handy for ready mix desserts such as puddings and for whipping cream.

Since I make my own soups and salad dressings, I use the Braun blender instead of a table blender or food processer. To puree soups, the food processer is not as easy or timely to use since the soup has to be cooled to place in the food processer. I purchased the Braun hand blender after attending a fund raiser for our local school district. We live near Philadelphia and had the opportunity to participate in a demonstration of cooking techniques with Bernard Perrier, brother of Georges Perrier of Le Bec Fin fame.

Bernard was demonstrating a variety of items for us and he came to a sauce he wanted to lighten. He pulled out his hand blender which he affectionately referred to as his "whiz whiz". Immediately his sauce started to lighten up and double in volume. We were all amazed and fascinated not only with his cooking skills but his marvelous gadgets.
I have personally used my hand blender to make super, creamy hot chocolates in the winter, buzzed a pot full of potato and leek soup to perfection and used Bernard's technique to lighten many sauces for a holiday dinners and everyday affairs. I have successfully used it in a variety of situations both hot and cold with equal success.

I use the Braun hand blender for several purposes - its very functional.

Its really easy to use, it has several attachment, to blend, to puree, to mix. I can puree tomatoes, make a mango milkshake, cut onions and garlic, you name it.

I recommend this appliance. It can serve as a mini-mixer, its easy to store - it even comes with a plastic hanger-kind of thing which you can stick to the wall and hang the appliance right there.

Its totally worth the price. Get it :)...

I was given a Braun hand blender as a gift several years ago. After the first time I used it to puree a vegetable stock I fell in love with it. I have literally wore one out and had to go buy another one. You can use it to puree hot or cold foods. It is a submersion blender which is such a convenience. My girls love to use it to make smoothies or shakes also. The Braun hand held blender will become one convenience you can not do without....

this blender is the greatest thing. You can whip up a milkshake for your grandkids,rinse it off and cream some homemade soup for dinner all in just minutes.I wanted one for a long time.I love it. I use it all the time.Its also great for making salad dressings....

I absolutely love this product! I received this hand held blender as a gift, and from the first time using it, I was hooked. I use it when making mashed potatoes, I use it in my spaghetti sauce to blend whole tomatoes (while cooking), but the all-time best use is blending flour into gravies to thicken them. Absolutely NO LUMPS! I use this product at least 3 times per week....

This is a great product. I bought it an I am very happy with it. In a couple of seconds you can have great smoothies!

I got this as a gift and at first I was umimpressed. I left it in its box for nearly a year, until I started a new fitness program. I needed to start drinking protein shakes as part of my nutritional supplementation. The shakes were horrible to say the least. The powder did not mix well no matter how long you spent stirring it with the milk.

I then remembered the blender was in a closet somewhere and decided to give it a shot. It does an amazing job. I actually enjoy the shakes now. They are very smooth and the device cuts prep time down to nothing. Five seconds on high and voila.

I am not a big fan of cleanup, but that is also not a problem. I just run the blade under the faucet immediately and it rinses right off. Twice a week, I throw it in the dishwasher to sanitize it.

I don't know how I ever lived without this thing. I have used it twice a day for over a year and it is still going strong.

I have never tried blending fruit or anything more solid, so I cannot advise on how well it...

I do love this machine. It works quick. It's easy to clean. I use it mostly when I'm making cream soup. Or to chop up meat. I have't used it for everything it is capable of doing.

The only thing I don't like is the pushbutton switch. If you don't pay attention and unplug it while cleaning the blades,if you have your hand on the switch, you could slice your finger. I learned the hard way. Dumb of me.

fun to use. easy to operate. never had a complaint about this kitchen product. I am always coming up with new ideas and new ways to use this kicthen gadget. It is so easy to use and take apart for easy cleanup. Even my mom, who is a cooking master, borrows it. She lives in her kitchen and lives to cook up new things, but this product was a necessity for her. I even bought her one for Christmas!...

I absolutely love this product. I use it for EVERYTHING! It is so convenient. I just take it out of the drawer, plug in, blend, take out, rinse, and put back! Usually 30 sec. from begining to end! My kids especially love it when I use it to make them a hot cocoa "cappicino"! It mixes and froths in 5 seconds! LOVE IT!...

I replaced my old Braun for the new one. What a difference! It works much harder and faster than the old one. It chops 4 cloves of garlic up in three squeezes of the handle. Same with fresh herbs. I can blend soups or beans for burritos in a matter of seconds right on the stove. Saves lots of time and cleaning. ...

If you know me and read me here and elsewhere, you know I'm a guy who likes his gadgets. If it makes it easier, quicker or sometimes even just a bit more interesting, I want it.

And so it was with the idea of stick blenders. Now to tell the truth, I didn't buy my first stick blender to use in the kitchen. I bought it to help me make soap. You know I'm a soaper, right?

When you make soap, the ingredients, oils and sodium hydroxide have to be stirred for a very long time to achieve trace in the process known as saponification. Oooo, technical talk gives me goose bumps! But I promise, that's it for now. I won't bore you further (at least not in this review). So I figured it might really cut down on the time if I stirred with a stick blender. I had read articles so I thought I'd give it a try. It worked. I had purchased a very inexpensive stick blender (DUR) at Wal-Mart for about $10 and everything was great.
