Love3570 says "QUICK & EASY" about Bowflex treadclimber

I PURCHASED A BOWFLEX TREADCLIMBER APPROX. 2 YEARS AGO. THEY HAD 3 KINDS TO CHOOSE FROM. A FAIRLY EXPENSIVE ONE, A MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND A CHEAPER VERSION. i PURCHASED THE MIDDLE ONE. THEY ALL PRETTY MUCH WORK THE SAME. THERE ARE ONLY A FEW DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEM SO IT WASNT WORTH IT FOR ME TO PURCHASE THE MOST EXPENSIVE. IT HAD A FEW MORE GADGETS THAT I HAD NO INTENTIONS OF USING SO THE EXTRA SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS WASNT WORTH PAYING. IT STATES THAT IT WORKS BETTER THAN THE AVERAGE TREADMILL IN HALF THE TIME. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE. I HAVE A REGULAR TREADMILL THAT I WORK OUT ON FOR ONE HOUR, 5 DAYS A WEEK. I DID EVENTUALLY LOSE WEIGHT BUT WHEN I STARTED DOING THE BOWFLEX, I WORKED OUT FOR 1./2 HOUR 5 DAYS A WEEK AND FELT THAT IT WORKED JUST AS WELL, IF NOT BETTER. I ALSO HAD IT ON AN INCLINE WHICH MADE IT SOMEWHAT HARDER BUT IT GAVE ME THE SAME RESULTS AS THE REGULAR TREADMILL. JUST LIKE ALL MY OTHER EQUIPMENT, I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE USED TO HANG MY CLOTHING ON BUT...
...

tk410158 says "Delivers a great cardio workout, perfect for ex-runners." about Bowflex treadclimber

The Bowflex TreadClimber is all the cardio machine you need. It can be a basic treadmill (but more on that later), or it can be a stair-stepping treadmill.

The TreadClimber has a belt for each leg, and each belt is connected to the machine via an adjustable shock absorber. This attachment allows the treads to move up and done as you walk forward. The effect is like climbing stairs or a hill. The workout will kick your butt.

If you don't want the stair-step mode, you can lock the treads so they become a stationary treadmill. Except the Treadclimber treadmill has a separate tread for each leg.

Easy to use electronic controls.

Cons:
The adjustment for the shock absorbers (that increases the workout intensity) seems pretty, well, general. I notice increased tension, but I'd like a more precisely calibrated way to adjust the exercise level.

The machine itself is very heavy, and so, although it does have rollers on the front that allow you to move it a la wheelbarrow style, it's difficult...
...

slubonski says "Great machine, great workout" about Bowflex treadclimber

I purchased the treadclimber over 3 years ago and I love it. I can get a great work out in just 30 minutes a day. It has great features , it shows me how many calories I have burned, how far I have walked, it has 15 different programs. II like the fact that it is a treadmill, stair climber and elliptical all in one. It is low impact so I do not have to worry about injury.
...

The Bowflex Teadclimber is an awesome machine. It allows the user control of how strenuous the workout is. The machine tracks the miles you have walked/ran when in treadmill mode, tracks the steps taken when using the incline step feature. It even shows you how many caloriew you burned. Great workout!
...

Maddio says "pretty good" about Bowflex treadclimber

So i recently bought this product because i saw the commercial that said that you can burn twice the calories or running by walking on this. So my family bought it and i really enjoied it. There are different finacial choices for everyone, for example some have calorie counters but it costs extra money. i would suggest buying the cheapest one because its all the same machinery it just has different programs. You can use it wear you walk up and down like on the comercial or just walk like you would on an incline. my daughter used this and broke the gear or something that makes it go up and down evenly so i would say that is a con to this product that it could brake, but then again my kid used it and i have no idea what she did. if you get dizzy easily then i would suggest not to use this product because walking up and down might not be okay for you. The maximum speed it goes to is 3.5 mph
...

jennlynn07 says "I like it but can only do it for 10 minutes or so." about Bowflex treadclimber

I like the bowflex treadclimber but I can't stay on it for very long. After about 10 minutes it starts to hurt my back. I think it's the awkwardness in which I'm standing. I try to stand straight but it still seems to hurt for some reason. I feel like I am hunched over. Also sometimes my foot slips off the tread and catches. I've almost fell from doing that especially when you are going at a high speed. It does give you a good burn and works the booty but I just wish I could stay on it longer. I'll work on it.
...

We've been using the treadclimber for over 2 years now and we really like it. It gives you a great workout without the stress on your knees and feet that you get even from just power walking on the street - much less jogging! You can watch television while you're working out or listen to your favorite music, which you can't necessarily do if your're doing a workout dvd or video. My husband and I can tell a big difference in our fitness level since we started using it. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to get in shape and may not have time to go the gym. This brings the gym to you and gives you a low impact workout at the same time.
...
