This is a great work out system. You can work out every muscle from your own home and don't even need to step foot in the gym. I love how the seat moves since I am a bit short. I would recommend this product to everyone and have even purchased one for my daughter....

tivawallon says "Better body by Bowflex" about Bowflex motivator 2

A year ago my husband decided it was time to "get in shape" so he decided to buy a Bowflex.

He searched through the internet and without asking my opinion or letting me take a look around, he purchased one. Mind you now, he picked a nice model and several attachments and ended up paying $1500 for the unit and delivery. (he's not one for research) So you can see I wasn't a very happy camper about that!

Anyway, we decided to workout together every other night. We stuck to this plan. He was able to use more weights after the first week but not me. I quickly lost interest, but used it faithfully for 6 weeks.

Not really seeing the improvements I wanted, I stopped. My husband uses it maybe once every week or two. The newness wore off pretty quickly.

I guess if you are really into exercising and body toning, then the Bowflex is just right for you. Just remember to shop around and be sure this is what you want. It's a lot of money to spend for something that just sits on the porch.

I do recommend......

Don't believe the hype, I worked out for 6 month's just as they said and didn't see any of the results. just a big dent in my wallet. For the price this machine just doesn't live up to all it's hype. Don't waste your money on this product....

tmontgomery says "Easy for the whole family to use!" about Bowflex motivator 2

I purchased this from a friend who never seem to find time to use it. I have a family of five - and I have found that you are able to maxamize your at home exercise with this machine. You are able to work many areas of the body including your abs (ladies). We all commit to a 30 minute routine 5 out of 7 days without much difficulty!...

wj4444 says "not a great machine, but is adequate for the beginner" about Bowflex motivator 2

I saw the infomercials. Don't believe the hype. This machine is not for serious body builders. If you're used to doing certain exercises (bench press, leg curl, and others), you will need to adjust. The bench press is actually on an incline. You can not do a leg curl even with the optional leg extension. Also, you will notice that you are able to lift more "weight" on the bowflex.

With free weight, I can bench press 150lb. On the bowflex, i tried 150 and felt like a feature. I continued on and was able to bench press 180lbs on the bowflex!

The machine is good for beginners who are just starting out.The have a 6-week program to help lose weight. I did not buy the machine to lose weight, I bought it to stay fit. So maybe that 6-week program would be worth it. But if you are already in good shape and looking to maintain or build strength, this is not the machine for you....
