heliumgod says "Cleans Your Clothes and Gives You Extra Work" about Bosch Washing Machine

When we first researched the Bosch washing machines we found key words like energy efficient, money saving, new, etc. We never saw molding mess with every load. Why would you come up with a new and improved washing machine with a mold problem that totally takes away any helpfullness. While the washing machine part does a great job, and it does save water and energy. It leaves moisture in the gasket area of the front loading door that molds like wild fire. We have tried the cleaners, both store brand and name brand, but still have the problem. We have called customer service...a true joke..probably because there aren't a lot of washing machines in the desert overseas. We have written letters...got a really nice form letter back and was told that the cleaners and proper drying of the gasket would eliminate the problem...why of course, so simple right...wrong...don't buy it, don't even think about buying it...run like the wind...the wind we need to dry the gasket.
...

pkranger says "Bosch washing machine save money back for repair" about Bosch Washing Machine

Purchased Bosch washing machine 2 years ago and use just for my wife and I. During year 2 it quit spinning and we called a repair man. Cost was $400 for a motor control board!!! Almost 1/2 the cost of the machine.
It gets better - the repair man called the factory to get some help and all they did is just suggest various parts he could order (we pay for) until the machine was fixed. Lucky? for us the first one fixed it.
I e-mailed the factory to complain about the high cost of repair, low use and age of our machine, and to see if they would help - and ?- you guessed it - no reply!!
So my suggestion is to keep lots of money back for repair and don't count on the factory even recognizing you own the machine....

I bought a Bosch washing machine and dryer about one year ago. The mold began to grow on the rubber gasket used to seal the door almost immediatey. The Dealer said to run bleach through the machine periodically which I did but still the mold grew. Multiple inquires to the dealer went unanswered ( Standards of Excellence_San Diego), referred to the manufactuers rep.....rude , unhelpful, non responsive. I am in the market to replace both.....buyer beware!!!!
...

When I first bought this front loader, HD washing machine, evveryone told me I would be much happier wih it than my old fashioned top loader. It does save me money, uses less water, washes well in cold water BUT I don't think it is any better than my old machine. It doesn't have as many options/as much flexibility in what it can do for me. It uses special HE laundry detergent...which costs a little more. It spins so fast that my whole house shakes, and I don't think the clothes are that much cleaner than with my old machine.
...
