We have owned ourBosch for three years, and have been very disappointed with it. We have become so frustrated with tyring to get it serviced that we purchased a new dishwasher. Here are the points I would like to share.

Bad:

1. Over priced

2. Average washing

3 Poor drying

4. Very expensive and limited service

5. Poor customer service

Good:

1. Looks great

2. Quite

Hope you have a better luck, if you have or buy one.

We bought Bosch Shx46A dish washer 2 years ago. We were very happy because it was very quilt. But it lasted for only month, and then dish washer started to make the noise like a military tank. We called to get it repaired 3 times with in a year. It was very hard to get them on the phone and very reluctant to come. The dish washer never really did a clean job. The repair guy said to me that you needed to wash the dished before you put in the Bosch dish washer!!! Why in the hell is it called a dish washer? I missed my old dish washer (whirl pool, forget the model) in my last house. In comparison, the whirl pool was 10 time better: very clean, very reliable, and half the cost. My bosch dish washer suddenly dead today. Do not waste your money for Bosch!!!

So, my Whirlpool washer was a nightmare and when it finally died only 3 years after buying it, my husband insisted that we get the Bosch dishwasher. I just wanted one that worked and didn't cost a fortune. So, we went and got the Bosch dishwasher. Ours is black on the outside and completley stainless steel on the inside. I cram everthing in this thing. The dirtier, the better. I don't prewash anything and the kids and I always have a bet if it will come clean or not. EVERY SINGLE TIME the dishes are sparkling and not a speck of food is left behind. I sometimes use good detergent and sometimes whatever is on sale. It makes no difference. The dishes are always clean. I joke and say there are little elfs that are in there scrubbing away. I have four boys and I use the dishwasher at least 2 times a day so it was important that we got one that will do the job and last longer than 3 years! I'd easily buy another one again!

I previously had a floor model dishwasher in an emergency that was loud, had several recalls and was horrible. So when it was time to finally buy a new dishwasher this time, I was determined to plan out my purchase and do plenty of research. I went onto Consumer Report Online and researched all of their dishwashers. What I found was that Bosch was their best buy pick and so bought one. I was not disappointed at all. If anything I wonder why I did not buy a new dishwasher sooner. This model saves energy in many ways and is reasonable on price. But the big plusses have been 1) it is super quiet during wash mode and 2) the Quick Wash is only like 30 minutes and it usually takes care of all of my dishwashing needs thereby saving water, time and yes, money! and 3) it holds quite a bit more than my last dishwasher since the racks are intelligently laid out. From the start, the product worked as performed and I have not regretted my purchase whatsoever. I would buy another Bosch...

My Bosch dishwasher is the best thing since peanut butter. Cleans dishes in 30 minutes on quick was as well as on normal wash. Uses half of the soap and electricity. If you want you dishes sanifized it does that also. The only thing that is does not have is a dry cycle, but the water is so hot it doesn't need one. I love my Bosch.

Bosch dishwasher SHE45M. On the positive side, this unit is super quiet. That's the only positive it offers.

It does not clean all dishes. It has an odor tht won't go away ( only had this unit 6 weeks) and it is not food scraps. Load space and capacity is 20% smaller than other dishwashers, door is hard to open and is way overpriced. I have Bosch power tools and there is none better in this category. Bosch auto parts are the best. Appliances suck. I am returning my Bosch SHE45M to the retailer for a refund so I can buy a Maytag

I bought our Bosch dishwasher just over 2 1/2 years ago. In the first three months, the repairman was out three times to replace the water pump, drain pump (twice), and motor. Then we developed a leak which buckled my floor. Currently, the dishwasher runs but does not dry anything. It takes about 3 1/2 hours to complete a load of dishes even though the timer says that the cycle is 107 minutes. I would not purchase another Bosch product ever again. The $600.00 that I spent on this dishwasher was the biggest waste of money that I have had. I purchased this product because of its great reviews and brand name. Now I know it was all hype.

My wife & I bought a Bosch SHU5305/uc12 in Feb. 2002. We are planning to replace it with another brand (likely Miele) due to the repetitive repair issues with the Bosch. Currently, we are on the 4th main circuit board (including the original) - all of them having failed in the exact same manner, a failed/overheated solder joint on the main computer control chip with it routinely failing every 18-24 months. The last board was provided by Bosch although we paid for the installation labor. I suspect that this board was part of their massive recall as our dishwaser was very close in its serial number to those covered by the recall.

The other major repair was the main pump motor assembly. It moaned & screeched so loudly as to be mistaken for the tea kettle whistle while in another room clear across the house! Currently (08/2009) the unit is screeching and moaning again. At $300+ for just the parts, and the latest control board being 22 months old, it seems foolish to spend...

We recently purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes and installed it ourselves. It worked for one load. Called Bosch "customer care" dept. Their main interest was to make us aware that if the problem was from the installation, we would have to pay for the repairs.

A local service rep came out and told us the problem was that the machine was clogged with suds. (We had used the FINISH tablet that came with the dishwasher) He got the unit operating. The next time we used it, it shut down again. The rep came back and this time found an internal drain hose had been improperly installed at the factory and needed to be replaced. He said it would take 3-4 days to get the part. Well, 3-4 days turned into 2 weeks. We called Bosch and were told there was nothing they could do, the repair dealer would have to contact the part distributor! We called Lowes and they got a Bosch customer care supervisor to call. They said we should have asked to speak to a supervisor when we called previously...

I purchased my Bosch less then 4 years ago. Loved the quiet, cleaned well, as long as you rinsed the dishes first. Really liked it until it broke!! Unfortunately it stopped functioning and my service tech charged me 200.00 to tell me it was too expensive to fix. Serviceing all Bosch diswashers require the entire unit to be removed and the power and water sources to be extended in order to reach the back of the units and have them run during the diagnosing the problem. Thus my 200.00!! My unit was leaking from the center and in order to fix it, practicly the whole thing had to be taken apart to get to the problem, thus the huge expense in labor to fix it! I was told by Bosch that all the machines are designed this way, so another model was not an option for me. These are great dishwashers but I expected my $1100.00 dishwasher to last longer then 3 1/2 years.

I have owned masny homes and every one had a dishwasher. I can't say enough about a Bosch! My current homes kitchen is open to a small family room where the television is located. Turn on the dishwasher anytime and there is never a problem hearing the television even standing right next to the dishwasher. My faucets running water makes more noise then my Bosch! Sometimes I even have to look at the digital panel to make sure I have turned it on! My dishes are always spotless even with Arizona's very hard water and no, I do not have a water softner installed in the house. The interior of my Bosch is beautiful! It is all stainless, no plastic walls or bottom. Everyone notices it and comments on it and I am always recommending Bosch. Should I ever need to replace it, mine is now 9 years old, I will have to get another Bosch. I have become a dishwasher snob of sorts. They are a bit more pricey but well worth the money!
