littleprairiegirl says "Quick and easy cup of coffee" about Bodum french press

This plastic-based french press does a great job of making one cup of coffee. When I first bought it (for the price and size) I thought the plastic would be detrimental, but it does not affect the taste of the cup of coffee. It is a nice single cup brewer for a single person, but if you have a family or frequent guests I recommend a french press of a larger size, as you can always use a large press to make one cup.

It has a second filter at the pour spout and seems to produce a rich flavored cup every time. Bodum is a reliable name, but has become more affordable by using more plastic parts in their recent products. The price decrease has not reflected in quality of construction. Though plastic, the press is reliable and highly functional. I actually prefer it to their one cup stainless steel model.

Writing this just makes me want to use it now.
...

millernet says "Get all the essential oils" about Bodum french press

The bodum french press is about the best around. It allows me to receive piping hot coffeee with all the essential oils. I use it every day and it has held up well. The only bad thing is that it is made of glass so it can sometimes break. By not using a paper filter, you are sure to get all of the essential oils that are usually trapped inside the paper filter. Another thing to consider is that when making coffee with a french press you should always grind your beans coarse--this ensures that you will get the best aroma and flavors and that it will not get too bitter. If you grind your beans too coarse, you also risk the problem of having it build up too much preassure on the plunger so that it won't plunge easily.

I have used other french presses before and while I have listed as a con that this one is made of glass, the other was made of a plastic polymer and unfortunately it didn't keep the coffee as hot, so I guess this is the best method--even if I go through a couple...
...
