mark1220 says "Very good sushi. Very casual" about Bob San Sushi - Chicago, IL

I believe that Bob San has the same owner(s) as Naniwa on Wells. The menu is straight-forward. The sushi here is not innovative, but the quality of the fish is very good....

Matt says "Very good sushi that will satisfy a craving" about Bob San Sushi - Chicago, IL

Bob San Restaurant

www.bob-san.com

1805 W Division St
Chicago, IL 60622
(773) 235-8888

Tonight we took the kids out to Sushi. Tank Sushi (see my review) had a 20 minute wait so we decided to try out Bob San which I believe is owned by the same people who own Naniwa which is close our office on Wells Street.

We had a great meal. Ordered the Dragon Roll, the Rainbow Roll, the Spicy Tuna without mayonaise roll. My son also ordered a roll with cream cheese which I did not try. We also ordered a Chicken Teriaki for the non fish eaters. Our soon to be three year old also ate a whole bowl of un cooked tofu. (don't ask, but he was happy as a clam).

The cost of $85, and then with tip was $100. For five people I guess not that bad, but considering everyone drank water and we only had four rolls, it seemed steep to me. Nonetheless, it was very good and we pretty much cleaned our plates. There is something we like better about Tank, but it is just a little too crowded and little too...
...
